Mallory wasn’t afraid of getting hurt, but she still wasn’t interested in getting caught in a woman’s snare. Leading her pack and watching her friends fall in love was enough for her. After all, her club kept her busy.
But the curious gaze of a cat turned her head and, before she knows what’s happening, Mallory’s more than interested in an affair with the mysterious red-headed dancer with intriguing flower-blue eyes.
Only Mallory isn’t prepared for the trouble stalking Cordelia that led right back to Mallory’s door. Determined to save Cordelia, Mallory soon realizes it’s love not lust driving her actions—but will the fall cost her the pack?

I loved this book and all of Serenity Snow books. Her characters are always hardcore dominates that mean business. I readcentire book in 2 hours not being able to put it down. If you like sweet, soft romance this is not for you.
This book picks up right after Getting Nawty and drops us right into the craziness. What I love most about this series is that Serenity keeps introducing these unique hybrid shifter species with equally unique abilities. All of them come with baggage that we want to unpack. Cordelia is one of my favorite shifters to stumble into town. She has a past that she's running from and ends up running right into the arms of Mallory. Neither are a looking for a commitment, but neither have an actual choice in the matter. With Mallory's and Sam's packs under attack from friend and foe they must figure out who to trust and how to protect the packs. It's got everything you need: action, romance, and of course some raunchy sex scenes. Loved it and recommend it.
I knew I was going to love reading this story of Mallory and Cordelia. And I was not disappointed. What I liked most was there was more humor in this one. Cordelia was funny and serious. But she was also very kind and sweet. There were times when I thought she was helpless. Especially with her stalker. But that is what made her so endearing at the same time. I like everything about her time with Mallory.
I was so peeved with the men in these packs. They were horrible. Preternatural testosterone is the absolute worse. The only thing worse than them are the dominant female hyenas. And the reason they are despicable characters is because they’re loaded with testosterone as well. Sigh. That’s the worse part of their genetic anomaly. Jenner kept getting worse and worse as the series goes on.
The shadow walkers keep running from something and coming into this small town as dancers. As soon as they mention a new dancer, it gives it away. It kind of gets old, but I think this is their entry into the “life.”
I really liked Sam when I read her story. I just didn’t care for her much in this installment. I don’t care for Sydney. But I was lukewarm on her anyway. They did everything they needed to do when they were claiming their mates. But didn’t seem to get it that Mallory was going through the same to claim hers. I didn’t feel like they were as happy for her. But their mates took and instant liking to Cordelia. I was happy about that. The woman was powerful. But boy was she victimized a lot in this book.
So, I’ve got to learn a lot about Brynn and got a hint of another shadow walker I believe may be Black Velvet/Kyra who seems to have some special skills. There is also Delaney. Who will find that Kyra is their mate? It really doesn’t matter who it is. I liked the humor and personalities of both of the coyotes.
Takes a little while for them to actual realize their feelings so be wary of that fact, but also don't be afraid to go easy on this series as they're well done and generally done well with believable characters. I will say that I would've liked to see a less generic, stereotypical "I think I'm untouchable because I'm strong" bad guy. Also, as per her usual, there is still very much some steamy stuff in this as their are in the others, but are just as much a part of the plot in the characters bond and connection as the regular plotting against how to take out the bad guy while also getting rid of the Feds on their asses. I also enjoyed the ending, it was not necessarily surprising of an ending, but it leave enough open for the next two. I'd like to two read the latest installment and then go back and read the next one after.
Finally, Mallory gets her turn in the spotlight. A new dancer, Cordelia, is in the club and attracts Mallory's attention. However, there are other issues that Mal has to deal with. The wolves are still mad, someone is plotting against the coyotes, and Cordelia is a target, too.
This novel picks up right where the last one lets off so we see a lot of the previous characters as well. The tension and danger never seems to let up for these women. Like all the other newcomers and mates, Cordelia has mysterious powers. Somehow in all this, there are many opportunities for Cordi and Mal to get it on a few times, and several scenes are steamy. Snow gets better with each book in this series.
Really enjoyed this addition to the series. I love the series as well as all the characters. Cordelia is a bit of a hybrid shifter and has secrets that Mallory want to unravel, and that’s not all she wants. There is always the mystery of who is killing the women in town and wolves seeking vengeance. It a hot book and has even more to offer. Can’t wait to find out what’s next!!! I highly recommend this book and would suggest starting with book 1.
These characters really fought against their emotional feelings towards each other. I was convinced they weren't going to get together,,, OMG! Off to my next Adventure.
Can a strip club owner and a dancer find happiness when one keeps getting accused of murder and the other is a murderer?
Cordelia is settling in to her role dancing at Mallory’s strip club when she accepts a date with a cop who will not take “no” for an answer. In heat and being stalked by a crazy cop is only the beginning for Cordelia, but luckily for her Mallory steps in when she is attacked on stage. Mallory does not date or do long-term relationships, but she is in heat too and she and her coyote have an itch for Cordelia. Trouble keeps the pair on their toes as they are being attacked on all fronts as Mallory is being accused of murders she did not commit though someone keeps setting her up. Cordelia is running from secrets from her past, the crazy stalker, secrets she is learning in her new town, and people who keep trying to kill her. To add to all of the craziness, there is not just one serial killer in town who is trying to keep hidden and keep killing too.
Serenity Snow knows how to pack a mystery and let me tell you Cordelia falls into a lot mysteries (laugh) in Catching a Coyote. Snow writes an interesting character with Cordelia as not only is she running from a mysterious past, but she has amazing powers and shifting capabilities. Her ability to compartmentalize is astounding with everything that is thrown at her within the story and though I do not understand her choices sometimes, she at least does (laugh). Snow creates great chemistry between Mallory and Cordelia and their first full-blown sex scene is everything a reader could want in a sex scene. Unfortunately, it takes place early in the book and there really is not much after that. I personally would have liked more sex as with all of the talking in the beginning of the book about all of the sex, it would have been nice if the story backed it up. All talk - no action (laugh). I do like the story though and would definitely read another Snow book and I recommend this one.
