4 1/2 Stars for this second ... third ... fourth chance romance!

Brooklyn and Drew ... talk about a slow burn! They are destined to be together even though life played hard lessons on them. Brooklyn always thought of others before herself. The only thing she could not get over was, when she was 15, Drew not showing up at her house the morning he was leaving to start his hockey career. I just don't understand that if Drew wanted to be with her so much ... that after so many years, why didn't he just tell her the reason he didn't show. I really love it when there are kids in a book and Drew's two girls were just little sweeties. And then there's Wes ... I can certainly see why Brooklyn couldn't make up her mind because he was also a rich hunk with a heart of gold. I highly recommend this book!

I received a copy courtesy of the author in exchange for a honest review.

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Second chance friends to lovers

The first chapter of book I feels the author maxed out on stretching the storyline into duet

I know how difficult to built chemistry friends to liver story , sometimes you want to pull out some of your hairs but it’s worth to keep going as the second chapter of the book the story picking up at better phase

I wish I could go for 4 stars but I’m rather disappointed how the author let h played OM hearts far too long but o give it a shout out as she made H done enough grovelling and leg h have at it with OM - her fiancé enough good sex without describing how lack package he is than H

All in all this is a great book , second chance and not so perfect live story it’s happened , it’s a matter you want to devote to it and stand for what you chosen

A Secret For Seventeen Years - the full story!
In the prequel Promise the MCs are in their youth and have known each other since they were very young. In adolescence their feelings grow into something deeper, and he makes her a promise. But Brooklyn’s father intervenes and forces Drew to make another promise that will have far reaching consequences.
Commitment tells the story how the next sixteen years have gone by. Both Brooklyn and Andrew have unsuccessfully searched for ways to forget each other as more than friends. When she meets Wes and he proposes, she thinks that he will be her way out. It forces Andrew to acknowledge what it would mean for him to lose her.
Redemption goes on with Brooklyn’s struggles to deal with her feelings of betrayal and Drew’s perceived broken promises on one side and all that Wes stands for on the other.
I loved it.

Drew and Brooklyn grew up in Boston together. Brooklyn is best friends with Molly, Drew's younger sister, and she's had a secret crush on him forever. Drew becomes a pro-hockey player for the Bruins - bringing home the Stanley Cup before an injury sidelines him. Brooklyn becomes a social worker. As teens, they finally acknowledge their attraction just before Drew leaves for college, but something happens and he leaves without saying goodbye (her dad threatens him). Both try to forget the other - Drew marries a hockey floozy and has two adorable daughters before she dumps him with the girls - and Brooklyn finally meets a guy who loves her and they get engaged. But neither are happy and it takes some serious heart wrenching revelations to finally get the two together.

A beautiful love story involving a love triangle, which includes characters that are all likeable and deserving of happiness. It's a journey of paths chosen, decisions and mistakes made. A wonderful story of the joy and, sometimes heartbreak, that accompanies deep, complicated, emotional love, as well as the freeing feeling that comes with forgiveness and second chances.

I laughed, cried, and smiled and found myself unable to put this down, wondering how there could ever be a HEA, with all the situations, obstacles, and misunderstandings along the way. A great duet I enjoyed so much that I feel the need to read the next duet as well to see where this author takes the very likeable Wes.

The Redemption Series

All three of these books had me spellbound. The first one had to hooked and I just has to get the rest. I so wanted to see how Brooklyn and Drew rekindle their love. I loved how Jax proposes to her because he truly loves her but she just settles. Throughout the storyline in both books you see how Drew's family keeps pushing him to do right. I had to see how he deals with her love while her father disapproves.at the end of the series he comes around and Drew proposes with his two daughters. Couldn't have asked for a better ending because this series involves life at every turn.,💓💓💓

I am really confused about these positive rates and reviews. Because all I see is desperate heroine who cheated on her fiancé with who is supposed to be hero who only cared about her after she got engaged
She is no better than Carla (the ex wife who cheated on hero) and he is no better than chase ( the man who ex cheated with)
SHE IS WORES THAN DOORMAT. The hero did nothing to show his love.
“ I feel alive with him” after all hurts he caused he because he is coward
The fiancé is perfect and doesn’t deserve this kind of treatment. I felt like she was waiting for any kind of mistake from him to erase her guilt

Second chances

I don't have a single clue to which order books by the author are written but I love how I can read a book or a series and recognize characters from another book .. It makes me feel like their lives move on. Gives the characters a sense of reality as if they're real people. I enjoyed these books and struggled putting it down. I love the idea of an all consuming love even if this series did make me cry a couple times. This series gave me all the feels and I'm looking forward to diving into the next adventure.

I absolutely loved this duet! I loved reading about Brooklyn & Drew’s struggles to be together. Brooklyn is engaged to another man that is devoted to her. Drew is the retired hockey star and devoted father to his two girls. Drew has let Brooklyn down so many times that Brooklyn needs to move on and just be friends. He is also the big brother to her best friend.

Much Angst Leads to an Ecstatic Coupling

The slow erotic burn to the eventual full-on pairing of this delightful couple makes this a worthwhile read.

But, there is an awful lot of angst between these lifelong friends, and I think an extended white picket fence epilogue would make this book a winner.

WOW!

This is the first book I have read by this author. I can truly say that I have never enjoyed a book more. It captures you from the very first and doesn’t turn you loose until it has wrung ever emotion you have from you. This has been a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend it.

I truly loved this book. It was long at 700 plus pages, but well worth the time it took to read it. You follow the story of Drew and Brooklyn from their teens to mid 30s. Lots of things came in the ways of these two, however their journey ends with a HEA. I connected a lot with Brooklyn’s character. I laughed and cried as I read the story.

Best interaction between families

Best way to bring in a story line with DFS. It shows how many ways we ignore what is happening around us. Broken families friends lovers. Tear jerker in many aspects of the story. Brought back lot of memories as a teenager. Great story. Enjoyed reading.

Soooo good!

T.K. has written an incredible story of love, love lost, and love found again. I just sometimes wish I didn’t ride that roller coaster that is the love lost part. But, that is part of what makes the love found part sooo very goood! Drew and Brooke were 17 years in the making and it was absolutely delicious!!! Well done, Ms. Leigh. Very well done.

Please don't take my one star as a negative. It is just that I never ever read novels written in first person. A quirk of mine, perhaps, but do not like them. So if this does not bother you, ignore my one star.

Wow. This was great, and I don't want to give spoilers because this is a book you want to read and discover it's nuances and characters on your own. If you like some heartache, irritation, and twists of life with a sweet ending in romance, this is for you.

The redemption duet/t.k.leigh

This will be one of my favorite stories, written very well by the author. It made me cry, made me laugh, and show if you stay strong in your faith of someone you love, it's true, love, triumph, and perils can conquer all.

Better the second time

I’m so glad I decided to finish this story. Truth be told I wasn’t so excited about the second half after reading the first. The characters were an improvement and the story line was more exciting. I hope the ex gets his own HEA.

Brook just treated Wes like an agenda but not a real person with real feelings and who deserved love . The further the story developed, I really started to hate her. This story was too unnecessarily long.

This book had so much potential. It got plain tiring...main characters were cheaters and terribly weak people. Plus the language and graphic sex did not endear me to the characters.
