This was discontinued after losing the licence, and they sold the remaining stock off to raise money for charity. I snapped up this bargain and two other 2000AD sourcebooks.
This looks playable, and gives enough background to be both sourcebook and game system. Though most of the market for this will know the Judge Dredd lore pretty deeply after 45 years reading 2000AD comic every week.
A few thoughts:
I like crunchy-ish systems with lots of feats/stunts or as here, "exploits" to customise characters.
There are a few weapons or bits of kit I'd have liked to see in the equipment lists.
Purists might question how a non-Judge PC can be as powerful as a Judge, but I'm OK with that. PCs are always going to be the heroes, and a Fergee or Spikes Harvey Rotten or Noah Chimpsky type character shouldn't have to be less effective than every Jay out there.
I'm already curious about how the system will work with Strontium Dogs or Genetic Infantrymen (got those books too).
I already have a one-shot idea lined up. I think the Cursed Earth is going to be my preferred playground to the Mega City.

Oddly old-fashioned in terms of rules design, with little attempt to capture the feel of Dredd's world, and not much useful material on playing games in that setting. The book design is also weak, with uninspired choices of artwork culled from the comics (how many pictures of Dredd do you need?) and a general ugliness throughout (let's use a generic comics font, rather than a distinctive 2000AD one, and let's splurge it around apparently at random!).

This isn't terrible, but nor is it very inspiring.
