What I Liked:
Uuuugggghhhhhh, the melodrama (and straight-up drama) hurt this book. I was partly enjoying the story, partly raising a skeptical eyebrow, and partly rolling my eyes. Alexa got on my nerves, and that was that.
Restaurant owner and chef Alexa and her friends decide to go to her ex's new restaurant... and when they get there, Alexa realizes that Nick (the ex) has copied all of her ideas for her dream restaurant. Confronting him in the back, she loses her temper and dumps oil all over him, and when she's leaving, she accidentally breaks a ton of hanging wine bottles. Oops? Good thing Dante Perez, her and her brother's long-time friend and lawyer, is around to clean up her messes. Dante is tired of seeing Alexa date idiot after idiot. How can he prove to her that he's the one for her, and he has been in love with her for years? Alexa has dated a lot of terrible idiots in the past, and Dante is a sweet guy, but how does she know he won't leave her?
The good things about this book: it was short, it was steamy, it was diverse, there was a HEA. I'll start with the length. Usually you want romance novels to be longer, with more steamy scenes and tension and chemistry and tender moments. But the length of this book, as abbreviated as it was, was good. It was a quick read, and it didn't feel rushed.
It was steamy. The author definitely wrote some hot scenes in the book. There could have been more, but I think she got the proportion of steamy scenes just right, for such a short book. Alexa and Dante have known each other for a long time, and both have cared about the other for a long time. They also have a lot of chemistry between them, which led to some pretty steamy encounters.
It was diverse. Both characters have Hispanic background. If I remember correctly, Dante's background is Mexican and Alexa's is Puerto Rican. Alexa and her brother's restaurant serves a variety of Hispanic foods. You could clearly see some touches of Puerto Rican culture, and Hispanic culture in general. Props to the author for that!
A happily-ever-after ending is a given, in romance novels. But I'll state it as a "like" because I don't have a ton of things I liked about the book. The ending was a HEA, which was good and not disappointing.
What I Did Not Like:
Drama drama drama. I honestly cannot stand drama in romance novels (or any novels?). There is enough of it in real life! Don't riddle a romance novel with so much drama. A little drama won't set me off in a rage but when the entire book is full of drama? No thank you.
To begin with, the whole premise of this book is how Alexa lost her temper at her ex-boyfriend's restaurant, and he is suing her and her restaurant for damages and such. NO, Alexa does not have feelings for Nick (the ex) - they broke up a long time ago. But it really bothers me how quickly Alexa lost her temper - and proceeded to dump a bottle of cooking oil on his head? Like a 5-year old? Are we in elementary school? Alexa is so temperamental and impulsive but that... you don't DO that.
Did I mention that Alexa is temperamental and impulsive? Honestly this girl has to be one of the stupidest heroines I've encountered in romance novels, in a long time. I couldn't stand her. Sure, she had her moments here and there (in which I didn't mind her), but for the most part, I really didn't like her. Let's see... she falls for the most idiotic of men - and then cries a river when they cheat on her or dump her or whatever. She has ridiculous trust issues BECAUSE of the dumba**es she dated, which makes her relationship with Dante difficult.
I could not stand how Alexa treated Dante. So hot and cold, push and pull. She kept expecting him to leave her or break her heart or start picking up with every girl on the block. Girl, like you're any better? His past bothers you - what about YOURS? Alexa has dated sooooo many losers, and yet she gets to judge Dante about his (NOT-drama-filled) past relationships? HER relationships cost money and drama (believe me, it's insane, the type of guy she picks over and over). And yet here is Dante, a sweet, selfless, sexy guy who loves her, and she decides to be a little wuss when it comes him? Do you detect my disdain? I couldn't stand Alexa.
The icing on the cake was the end of the book. You know in the climax of romance novels (especially Brazen romance novels) when the hero breaks up with the heroine or the heroine breaks up with the hero? And then one of them (usually the man) has to grovel, whether it's his fault or not? Yeah, that's a thing in this book. ALEXA dumps Dante, but it's Dante that has to make the effort to patch things up with her. Alexa isn't the first to break, isn't the one to fight for her man. But she's the one that broke up with him, hurt him, and ruined the relationship. Um, do we not see the problem her?
That was the last straw and pretty much ensured that this book wouldn't get a positive rating. If that part of the ending had been different, I would have given this book three stars.
Would I Recommend It:
I do not recommend this book to anyone. Trust me when I saw that there are better romance novels, even with Entangled Brazen, that are steamy, sweet, quick, and well-written, that won't piss you off or make you want to strangle the heroine.
Rating:
1.5 stars -> rounded up to 2 stars. And thus ends my foray into Sabrina Sol's romance novels.
She’s beautiful, she’s an excellent chef and she has lousy taste in men. When one of those men shows up, Alexa’s life goes from peaches and cream to sour grapes when she finds herself in a legal jam and must call on an old friend to bail her out. Dante has changed. Sure he was always handsome, but now he is hotter than a banana flambé.
Dante has had his eye and his heart on Alexa for a long time, and now that he’s given her good counsel, it’s time for him to make a case for love. Can Alexa trust Dante not to break her heart? They’ve got the ingredients for romance, the tension is set on high, but can the attorney bring home the verdict in his favor?
Sabrina Sol knows what makes a romance sweet and spicy at the same time, creating a recipe for DELICIOUS SATISFACTION for two people to find that friends can become lovers and so much more. Wonderful characters bring this romance to a full and rolling boil when the heat is gradually increased. Wonderful chemistry in a quick read that serves up full course romantic satisfaction.
I received an ARC edition from Entangled Brazen in exchange for my honest review.
Series: Delicious Desires - Book 3 Publisher: Entangled: Brazen (February 27, 2017) Publication Date: February 27, 2017 Genre: Contemporary Romance Print Length: 174 pages Available from: Amazon | Barnes & Noble For Reviews & More: http://tometender.blogspot.com
I really enjoyed this fast paced novel. I found the romance so be so adorable, especially because Dante was such a dominant character that also respected and honored Alexa in and out of her profession. Their contrasting views on life complimented each other, in a way, and their chemistry and palpable during each scene they shared together. Their romance was so healthy and sensual to read, causing me to root for them to confess their love for one another finally. I am always a sucker for a good friends-to-lovers trope, and Delicious Satisfaction portrays that trope flawlessly while also including great Latinx representation through Alexa’s internal monologue and the recipes she creates in her restaurant.
The only thing reason that I gave this book a 4.5 / 5 stars is because I felt as though the story itself could have been stretched out some more. While I did love the romance and problems that were introduced into the story, I wanted so much more. I craved backgrounds to Alexa and Dante’s lives, more scenes to exemplify their growing love for one another, and an ending that didn’t wrap up as quick as it did. While it wasn’t insta-love, I still wanted a lengthier book to state my need to see more into Alexa and Dante’s lives. This isn’t necessarily a negative aspect of the book. I’m just a bit selfish, when it comes to romance stories.
All in all, I adored this story. I highly recommend it to new adult, romance, and contemporary lovers. This is one diverse romance story that you will not want to miss.
This was a hot, sexy, steamy quick read. And I enjoyed every minute of it
It was fast paced reading and everything just flowed so easily
Alexa is a chef and has had bad luck with boyfriends. Case in point another bad situation with another ex. So who does she call to get her out of this legal problem, her brother's best friend and also the man that she has lusted after forever.
Dante has had his eyes on Alexa and maybe his heart as well. But after an almost start to a relationship they have been dancing around each other for the last couple of years. So now may be his chance to prove to her that she doesn't just need him to help her out of her legal problems, but maybe she also needs him as a permanent fixture in her life.
This was a sweet, sexy and so HOT. Definitely a favorite for me
Reaction right after finishing it: I think this book might be my favourite in the trilogy? It was so amazing and sexy and Dante and Alexa had such a wonderful chemistry!!
I feel like if I don't read anything but Sabrina Sol books for the rest of the year, I'll be able to continue my streak of not DNFing a book for an entire month.
This is definitely one of my favourite books I have read so far this year because of so many reason, first of all, the main characters are Latinos, Alexa is a very successful Puerto Rican chef who is known for being very impulsive and falling in love way too fast, and Dante is a Mexican - American lawyer, he is super dominant but he is also very respectful of Alexa, I absolutely adore characters like him, which is the second reason I loved this book so much, if you are into alpha heroes but cannot stand it when the hero crosses that line between dominant and asshole, then this book is definitely up your alley.
And if you are into second chance romance tropes, this book is so up your alley we can't even see it anymore, it has become a part of you and you need to read it. Dante and Alexa have known each other for so long but didn't manage to make it work when they first met, and now life is sort of giving them a second chance but under circumstances that have made Alexa doubt her ability to be in a relationship, she is a very strong person but even the strongest people have moments when they wonder "what am I doing" Alexa is definitely going through a moment like that when Dante and her start getting closer, which makes her doubt their relationship a lot, but the chemistry between is undeniable and so is how much they care from each other from the beginning.
I have yet to read the very first book in this series, and while I absolutely adored Daisy and Brandon (who have some adorable cameos in this book) I think Alexa and Dante take the cake in this one, I seriously cannot wait to read every single book Sabrina has out and will publish in the future, she has quickly become one of my favourite romance authors, because her books always include wonderful family dynamics, the main character are always Latinos (which I am alway here for because Latinos in Romance getting their happily ever afters is my aesthetic) and she has a wonderful mix of funny dialogues, hot, hot, HOT scenes and dominant heroes which I am truly always here for.
* I received a copy from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
After reading the second book and learning about Brandon's sister who's a chef (Alexa) and his best friend slash lawyer (Dante) and their chemistry that was so evident, I knew I had to read it. And read I did and enjoyed as well.
Alexa knew she shouldn't have gone to her ex's restaurant with her friends because one look at it and she knew that was her ideas, dream come true. Only it's been stolen by her d-bag of an ex. She shouldn't have called him up for it and took control of her feelings but it's too late. Now she's facing a lawsuit for being accused of breaking things at his restaurant because she's a jealous ex. This was when she really needed Dante's help.
There are so many things that I liked in this book. It's a second-chance romance since Alexa and Dante had already met back when they were still in Puerto Rico and Dante had been Brandon's guest for the summer. Dante knew there's something between him and Alexa after that kiss and hanging out with her but clearly something bothered her that had her pulling all the breaks. Years later, he still got the hots for her and she's still pushing him away. You could really tell that Dante cared for Alexa from how he treated her–special, with respect because of her independence and spirit and a very good chef. Even when what she wanted from him was just sex. Or that's what she said. It was very obvious that Alexa was holding back from trusting Dante because of what the above mentioned ex did to her. But so was Dante though he kind of hid it. His past wasn't something he talked about to anyone because he's not proud of it but you could really tell how much he loved the person who took care of him. Dante and Alexa's banter was easy and flirty and they're really good for each other.
The book was also generous of really yummy recipes that I swear made my mouth water, sex scenes that were steamy and done very well, light issues about immigrant people and foster care system, and girl power (setting her ex straight). The story progressed smoothly and sexily without heavy drama.
I would've given this five stars if I wasn't so frustrated with Alexa for bailing out like that on Dante when all he did was to secure her. It would've been satisfying as well if the court hearing happened again just so I could see Dante in action in the courtroom defending Alexa's case and winning it, and if the ending didn't feel a little too rushed.
Overall, I really had a good time reading another Sabrina Sol's book and this just makes me so excited for what she has in store next for readers who fell in love with her stories. I would keep an eye out for the next ones!
Sabrina Sol is a new to me contemporary author with an interesting way of writing I definitely loved. Her writing is so pure and honest that I found myself so completely floored and mesmerized by it. You know when you read a book and you become so completely consumed by it and gives you such an amazing story that melts your heart, that’s what Delicious Satisfaction. Delicious Satisfaction is a charming, sweet and sultry story that completely swept me away and totally brought out a lot of amazing butterflies in my stomach. It was such a gorgeous story with such and simple addictive flair.
Delicious Satisfaction is a delicious and heartwarming story about second chances and love. This story was dripping in honey and sprinkled with a touch of spice that tantalized my reading taste buds. It was such a beautiful book with just a touch of sophistication I always crave in a book. I was totally in awe. Everything was just so perfect to me. Delicious Satisfaction is a sweet yet rich story which drew me in and I was completely gripped by every single scene in the book. I could not take my eyes away. I was so surprised because normally the storyline is not my kind of read but I really was touched by the story. It had the right dose of emotion without being overly dramatic and I enjoyed that.
This book introduced me to Dante and Alexa, a dynamic and exhilarating couple with so much history and love between them. I totally adored to them. They had such undeniable and genuine chemistry that knocked my socks off. Dante, a hard working lawyer was so loving and protective. Plus he had certain dirty mouth that made me swoon so hard. Alexa was such interesting heroine. Edgy, funny and strong. I loved that she was a chef and it gave such a different flair. There were times I could relate to her. Wanting to protect yourself from hurt and pain and sheltering yourself. It made her very understandable.
Delicious Satisfaction was really an enjoyable book. I will definitely will be following Sabrina Sol. I love the way she writes and she brings something extra new and fresh to me.
ARC provided by publisher Entangled Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you Entangled Publishing for giving me an arc copy to read and review via NetGalley. All of these thoughts are my own.
This was fast paced but didn’t keep my attention much. Im all for a little drama is romances but this was just too much. Alexa gets in trouble with her ex and that’s when Dante shows up. Dante was great, they were steamy, but there were some parts where I just couldn’t stand Alexa. She didn’t seem very mature. I love how dominant Dante character was though but also how respectful he is to Alexa although Alexa was back and forth.
I honestly just think Dante deserved someone worthy of him and it wasn’t Alexa. She was just childish is a lot of ways and that’s the main reason I was turned off from this book.
I read this book years ago and now revisited it so that I can finish the rest of the series! I love Alexa, not only for her Chicana vintage taste and style I could totally relate to her acting with passion and on an impulse that lands her in a heap of trouble. Luckily Dante is there to guide her out of her faux pas. Alexa, reluctantly, accepts his help and in the process they find out a lot more about each other and find their HEA <3 Can't wait to read the rest in the series!
Such an entertaining read! I thought Alexa was such a fun character & Dante is just plain sexy. I enjoyed the story & look forward to reading more by Sabrina Sol. This was the 3rd book in the Delicious Desires series but can be read as a stand alone.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
So this is not my first book in the series that I have read, and I really liked Delicious Complication, which is the book before. I liked Brandon a lot, and his whole fake relationship storyline, and there was also a fair amount of suspense in the plot, so I was looking forward to this book and hoping for a little bit of the same kind of tone from the one I had read previously. And there was some of the same kind of themes in this book, but I didn't love it as much as I did the previous book.
So we'd already met Alexa and Dante (she's Brandon's sister and he's his old best buddy and lawyer), so if you already read the other book you kind of already have a feel for them going in, but if not that's cool too. I really liked how the book started off, Alexa goes to a restaurant to meet her friends, and of course it is the restaurant owned by her ex. Only when she walks in and realizes that he completely ripped off all her ideas and recipes, she's irate. Obviously. Needless to say the whole thing end up with her in jail, and who comes to bail her out, you guess it, Dante, the lawyer.
Alexa in the beginning was easy to like. She came off as really true to herself in terms of her style and her personality, but as the book goes on she ends up being more self-conscious and doubtful of her actions and really of herself, and it made it kind of hard for me to like her in the long term.
Dante is easy to like. He's an accomplished guy, professional, volunteers his services to those in need, he's kind, a good friend, he's way more into making a relationship with Alexa into something more than she is. I just liked him. But he was super easy to like. While Dante was easy to like, I didn't really love the pacing of the book, I felt like a lot of it just didn't develop fully, it wasn't just that the pacing was fast, but that it felt rushed.
The storyline about the ex suing Alexa and her brother didn't really flush out the way the plot line did in the previous book, it seemed like it was mostly there to just force Alexa and Dante in the same room when they may not have wanted to me, or to cause superficial conflict between them. Overall, it was an okay book, it went by to fast, I needed more to latch on to to really like it.
It’s been a long time coming and it was so worth the wait.
What do you get when you pair an impulsive chef with a hard working lawyer who just happens to be a long-time friend? Serious sparks and a story that will have you hungry for more and unable to turn the pages fast enough.
Sabrina Sol wraps up her Delicious Desires series with the perfectly named Delicious Satisfaction. I say this because fans of the series have watched the subtle bubble and burn build between Dante and Alexa and now we finally get to see them together and find their HEA and you will turn the last page fully satisfied.
I had a feeling these two would be explosive together and after accidentally inhaling this book, I can say they are off the charts perfect for each other. Who would have thought that playboy Dante would have such a dirty mouth and that strong chef Alexa would practically melt at his feet when they finally cross that line from friends to lovers.
Watching these two learn more about the other while trying to stick to their agreement of sex only and not falling in love was so much fun. Nothing was going to stop the train once it started and when they realise it was always going to happen, cue the happy sighs.
This has been a wonderful series to fall in love with and this book once again shows why I adore this authors writing. I can’t wait for more.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley for review.
The Entangled Brazen imprint cycles through tropes of second chances, friend-to-lovers frequently and I’m wondering if I’ve actually come across every iteration there is in this imprint. “Delicious Satisfaction”—despite the different plot—somehow feels like a very familiar read with characters who exhibit similar kinds of fears and weaknesses as they follow a breakneck route from a recollection of the past to the hotness of the present to a rush to bed with a brevity that that does compromise on depth and development. Alexa Montoya and Dante Perez fall squarely in this category and pretty much went on to do what I thought they would do without surprises.
Honestly, I didn’t think Alexa the smartest of female protagonists though—after talking over needing to be less impulsive with her friends, she decides of all times, to apply that very action to Dante, the man she wants yet is afraid to go for and keep because it’s somehow good practice for the behaviour modification she’s trying to achieve. And because she’s typically unable to leave emotions out of her actions, this thing with Dante goes south quickly and predictably as most no-strings arrangements do in romantic fiction at least. Her insistence on needing to keep things casual was brought up so many times that it became a source of annoyance for me and she predictably runs, scared that she’s unable to do the very thing that has been her downfall. But then it’s up to Dante to convince her that they’re good together, which made me think of her as one of the wimpiest heroines that I thought couldn’t put herself out there properly.
Sabrina Sol is a relatively new author to me and it was more of curiosity that had be sniffing out new titles on Netgalley for my next hit. ‘Delicious Satisfaction’ isn’t a bad read really. Yet I just didn’t find myself sufficiently moved or getting hot and bothered by the story as well as the pairing. But maybe as a cynical reader (but devoted fan of Entangled), I think I’ve inadvertently started to expect more and more.
disclaimer: I don’t really give starred reviews. I enjoy most books for what they are, & I extract lessons from them all. I hope my reviews provide enough information to let you know if a book is for you or not. Find me here: https://linktr.ee/bookishmillennial
I thought this was a delightful steamy novella! I haven’t read the first two but they are an interconnected series of standalone romances so I didn’t feel like I was missing any context. If anything, I was just guessing at who the other two couples were lol!
This is told in third-person limited POVs of our love interests, Alexa and Dante. It’s brother’s best friend/workplace romance/second chance romance & it is so much fun! The buildup to their sexual tension is chef’s kiss & I was rooting for both of these characters! Alexa is a strong-willed, impulsive restaurant owner who usually falls too quickly & second guesses her decisions, while Dante has always had it bad for Alexa & is known as a serial dater in LA! He is the restaurant’s co-owner and lawyer, so he is always bailing Alexa out whenever she gets into trouble because of her dusty crusty exes.
Dante also has a pet bulldog and the characters promote animal rescue, which as a dog foster mom, I love! #AdoptDontShop please🙏🏽 Also, Dante takes on pro bono cases for kids who have been incarcerated and a victim of our corrupt systems, so from the beginning, I LOVED HIM lol. Anyway, this story is about Alexa trusting her & Dante’s love, & believing they could be the real deal, which is hard when everyone is constantly bringing up her impulsiveness & making her second guess herself. I loved this & I will absolutely be reading the other two in the series.
steam rating: 4/5 — the backseat of the car scene was my fave
cw: sexism, misogyny, blackmail, infidelity, mentions of being displaced from parents & the foster care system, parents enduring mental health struggles, mentions of being incarcerated
The friend-to-lovers trope is one of my favourite ones to read about because it’s always so packed with tension and attraction. With the initial attraction there, it’s always so fast-paced and the easiest to read. I can’t help but cheer for Alexa and Dante’s potential relationship.
They are so adorable together. Their attraction is palpable and intense. Alexa is daunted by the idea of having a serious relationship after being burnt many times before. She didn’t want to let her guard down and let her heart be broken again. Not even by Dante. Her impulsiveness landed her in trouble which required the help of Dante. He is sweet and patient and so cutely protective of Alexa.
Reading Delicious Satisfaction at 2am didn’t help the fact that my stomach was growling like mad and I was yearning for some yummy Mexican food.
I laughed at this: The blare of a tuba startled him, and shook his head awake. The tuba turned out to be just Gomez snoring from his kennel.
I LOVE HIS DOG.
Definitely pick this up if you’re looking for a steamy yet incredibly sweet read.
A sexy take on a friends to lovers story with a hint of a reunion mixed in! Sabrina Sol brings a lot of culture to the recipe to take us deep into the mind of this hot tempered beauty! The characters are fun and their chemistry is HOT!
Chef Alexa Montoya isn't known for keeping her cool. Her reputation for acting before she thinks proceeds her well, and just when she's starting to aim to do better, she has a run in with an ex and explodes! Thankfully she has a friend who is a lawyer to get her out of the mess she has dug for herself.
Attorney Dante Perez has known Alex since he was roommates with her brother in college. They have history and attraction between them, but she's famous for pushing him away. He's tired of sitting back and watch her put herself out there for loser after loser only to have her heart broken again. Will he have any luck making her see him for the great guy he is this time around?
This was a pretty good read. I can't give it a full 5 star rating, so it's definitely a 4.5 for me. I enjoyed the writing, characters and drama. Definitely plan to read more from Sabrina Sol.
Alexa is a chef who dreams of opening her own restaurant and she's also an impulsive person that falls in love quickly. She always falls for the wrong guy, while she pushed the right guy away. I enjoyed Alexa because she may have been shy and afraid at times, but she was still spunky.
Dante is a lawyer who has been in love with Alexa since their college years. He's a very sweet, hardworking man...the ideal perfect guy. I loved him from start to finish.
The romance was beautiful I loved the second chance romance between them. They were absolutely adorable together and the sex between them was on fire. I love how they balanced one another out.
I hated Nick, Alexa's ex. He was a total douchebag. Overall, I do recommend this book.
From the outset the sparks flew with this pair and it was no surprise that the outcome was a read that was totally delicious. I have read other works by this author and I will admit that I am a firm fan, so I expected exactly what I got a fantastic read that had me reaching for the button and looking for more of her work. The situation between Dante and Alexa has been a long time in the making but in my opinion, that only served to ensure that when they finally got their act together the outcome was nothing short of incendiary. I read with both anticipation and fervour, desperate to get my hands on them and what their connection had to bring and I will admit that was totally absorbed in what they had to offer. Their relationship was everything I thought it would be and more because when they finally moved from being friends to lovers, dirty mouthed Dante was able to turn the delicious Alexa to putty in is hands…lucky her!
When highly successful LA chef Alexa Montoya finds herself in a little trouble her first call is to her friend Attorney Dante Perez. They've been friends for a long time but now it seems Dante is looking for more from their relationship. Dante has wanted to move their relationship out of the friend zone for quite a while but Alexa has always resisted. Now all bets are off and he plans on making her his!
A well done story. Nothing really new or deep but wonderfully written with nicely developed characters and it will definitely keep you entertained. This is a nice quick steamy read with the added bonus of some amazing sounding food! Warning - don't read this book hungry. I definitely recommend it.
Great third book in this standalone series of books. Alexa's ex-boyfriend is scum, for stealing her restaurant dreams and making them his own. When a scuffle ensues and Alexa falls into some wine, she needs a lawyer...enter her brother's best friend, Dante. Dante is done with women but can't resist a sex-only "relationship" with Alexa. Alexa wants the same but we all know how that turns out. Fun getting to the point where they realize they really want each other. I'm in love with the Brazen line of books by Entangled Publishing!
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.
A quick, fun series! I read all three books in a day. I really enjoyed how the three books had the same characters popping in and out as well as the setting since I live in the LA region. I was waiting for this book after seeing hints dropped in the first two about Alexa and Dante and I think it was my favorite of the three. I am a fan of books like this where you know the characters have a backstory, but you don’t quite know what it is so you have to wait for the breadcrumbs the author drops to fully understand the relationship. 3.5/5
First of all, how dare Nick! What a slimeball. Making up lies to try and get Alexa to get back with him.. What just so he could discard her again? I like Dante. I love that he and Alexa had a history and that they tried to fight their feelings for each other since her brother is his best friend. But there connection is beautiful. I really loved how Dante gives back work his pro-bono work. Alexa is a spitfire that acts before she thinks a lot but it's because she's so passionate.
I purchased a copy at the RWA National Conference, seduced by the schmexy cover and the promise of a story about the restaurant industry. Sabrina Sol writes food and sex quite well. Despite the fact that I wanted to slap her irrational, impulsive, immature heroine upside her pretty head at several points, I enjoyed the story and would read another by this author.
Not a lot of complexity with characters here and I really wanted Nick to get more comeuppance, but I will always be a fan of Entangled brazen books. They're the perfect length when you need a little romance in your life.
