Excellent Read!

I enjoyed reading this book! I loved reading book 3 better than book 2! Bethany seemed like she was more mature in this book than she was in book 2! Book 2 seemed like she was more entitled and like some one owed her something! I didn't like her attitude at all! I'm glad she seemed to have grown-up a lot! I just say that I loved the bachelor party scene, on the golf course and at the restaurant/bar. Hilarious! I think everyone who reads this book will enjoy it! I will definitely recommend this book/series to others!

I enjoyed this series. I feel like it could have been 2 books long but I still liked listening to it.

I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop all the way through this one. 😂

This review is written after listening to the audio version of this book and contains only my personal opinions.

This book picks up from where His Needs book two finished, Beth has broken things off with Damon in the most hurtful of ways, now I know he's far from perfect but then is anybody? They are no longer engaged but she's still working for the firm, he's trying to respect her wishes and allow her space to hopefully mature. She's still the only woman he wants but do they have a chance? She for her part still wants Damon but wants to be the most important thing in his life, to come before everything else.

Then to make matters worse Delilah is hired as the new team manager by Kent. She's one of Damon's old flames, sugary sweet on the outside, but below the surface, she's a home-wrecker and a bitch and she wants Damon! Luckily Damon isn't interested and doesn't react to her advances.

Bethany and Damon are both hurting and heartbroken Kendal and Matt keep telling them both that they need to talk about their feelings and communicate with each other, but neither of them seems to be able to see past their own internal demons something they will have to do if they are ever to fix things between them.

Pressures and complications at work caused by Delilah come to a head and Bethany walks away, and it would seem that all is lost. I don't want to give too much away but I feel I can say that Damon, Bethany and Matt do a lot of maturing in this final instalment. Kendal suffers a great loss and is forced to reassess his life's decisions and Damon proves that he's there for Bethany no matter what.

This last book is my favourite as Damon and Beth at last start to really communicate, tell each other what they are feeling and at long last start working together towards a future. I love that finally, they're completely honest with each other about not only their feelings and desires but about what they want their future together to be. As in any relationship, communication is the key.

I loved the ending to their story, especially the epilogue and although many questions were answered I have more questions, do they have children? Will she go back to the firm? Does she build a relationship with her father? Do Matt and Erica finally work everything out and what about Kendal and Dana will they get their HEA?

The narration of the book by Joe Arden is excellent, he brings such depth to Ali Parker's wonderful characters.

I didn’t like this book at all. It was predictable start to finish. Since I had already invested time into the first two books, I wanted to finish the third. I had hoped for more details or information about Erica and Matt’s relationship…but that too was left undeveloped. There wasn’t enough of a teaser for them as a couple to peak my interest either.

Over all, I was left thinking this was just blah in the spice department. It was predictable. You knew what was going to happen in the end. The attempt to add some drama with Beth’s mystery stranger was kind of anticlimactic (really could of gone somewhere with the suspicious calls!!)

I do agree with one reviewer. This book should have been a book with 409 pages instead of 3 books.

This review is for the entire trilogy (3 books). Book 1 was too long for no reason. Bethany was worned about Damon about his treatment of women. She even heard his conversation speaking to a woman with no respect. She could tell the way he was talking to her during their 1st meeting. Lying about interaction with the females in his company. Then going onto his office without him acknowledging her at this door. She heard noises and walked in during one of his employee sessions. Her mother was right about his behaviour. The 2nd book. This book was more about their sex life. Him realizing his feelings for her once she told him she loved him.
3rd book. She decided to still interact with him even though he started treated her the same way of the other women except he liked her more than them. until his father warned him that Bethany was not like his other women and treat her respect. That is when he realzeduntil he start falling for her. Realizing Bethany was enmature for him he still could not leave her alone. Finally Bethany realized he did not have any concerns for her feelings when he was making decisions, but kept saying she needs to grow up. I was so proud of her when she left. It took her leaving for him to realize his lack of communication and respect towards. I was glad to see they didn't get married until after a yesterday which gave them time to learn each other out side the bedroom.

These books could have been excellent I loved the story and the whole premise but there was to much. The whole series could easily have been done with 3 200pg books or 1 big one. It would've been able to do that. It was continually repeated through all the books about Bethany and Damon's taboo relationship. Matt and Erica's lack of a relationship. What happened with Damon's mom and Bethany's dad. It was constantly rinse and repeat. There was no reason for it to be that way. The last book was my favorite. It's about a couple that is finally working together and finding themselves. They're completely open and honest with each other and that leads to something beautiful. Not to mention a great foundation of family and friends who help and encourage them along the way.

The third and final installment and if I am being reflective 3 books for such a short period of time seems indulgent and unecassary. Like a creme Brule because you can doesn't mean you should.
The whole journey probably could have been condensed. I'm not sure how much of Damon and Beth needed to take up 3 books the back and forth to reach the inevitable conclusion.
I loved this book and the ending probably left me with more unanswered questions than answers.
I liked that they fought for one another, I love that they both got closure and healed from childhood trauma. I guess being broken can produce the most amazing mosaic together and I really would have liked a glimpse forward. Maybe there are more installments to come. It certainly feels like it could happen.

Story: 4/10
Spice: 2/5
Spice: Hierarchy: spicy, but predictable

This was so chaotic. I really don’t know what Krista and Jake had to do with another than adding even more drama for Damon and Bethany. And then it seemed to just be gone. It could have been over and done in book 1. Character names and accents changed in the beginning from the previous books. And who is Mitch to Erica!? And Kendal dated Dana’s sister?!! All of that was added in the last 4 chapters. And who was calling and not speaking? Why did her dad need to show up at all at the end? I listened to this series because it was free in audible and it was Joe Arden but I won’t recommend it to anyone unless that is the criteria they are wanting.

so many things are happening in this book. Damon and Bethany are on a break. Kristin's trial for stabbing James is finally approaching. Bethany's professor that she's A T.A. for is having a crisis. Bethany is graduating. And Matt is finally coming to terms with what he wants. Damon and Bethany are so heart broken and you can feel it through the pages/audio. I loved that their friends and family pushed them to fight for what they truly wanted. This book had the perfect ending for me. I'm so glad that I read this series.

I love Joe Arden, and his narrative was top-notch. The book wasn't my favorite, though. I must have rolled my eyes at least 500 times. Some parts were so stupid that I wanted to quit. I'm no quitter, so I pushed through. I wanted to smack Beth. She was whiney, and Damon was a jerk. The whole series was one eye roll after another, followed by yelling, "Who says that?" and, "Really?!" etc. I'm sure Ali really tried her best on this series, and good for her, but it wasn't for me.

Second time

This is the second time that I've read this series. I think I liked it better this time than the last! I believe this is my favorite series from Ali Parker, and I have read so many of her books! I love the characters so much. Ali creates a picture when she writes so you can imagine yourself as part of the movie. A must read!

Unconventional Love

Damon and Bethany were a force to be reckoned with. Out of all of Ali's books I've read Damon has been the biggest alphahole. But these books were phenomenal and I couldn't put them down.

This was a good ending to the series and I liked that the author showed both their insecurities instead of just Bethany's. Although the male lead was well put together outside, he was an internal mess that she helped straighten out. The removal of his friend from the company was a great move too.

The characters acted more like adults in this book. However, I did find it a bit slow. I kept waiting for some kind of adversity or drama, anything to spice up the storyline and it never happened. Joe Arden as a narrator carried this series for me.

This was much better than the first two. I was happy they went through their hurdles and accomplished what they had for end game. I’ll miss them and all their spice but I’m glad the story ended as it had. They both deserved nothing more ❤️

I really enjoyed this series. It wasn't quite what I expected - it was better!

Make sure to read/listen to the entire series together (His Demands, His Needs, His Forever). They do not stand alone.

Somehow this was my first time to hear Joe Arden. He was great!

The whole series reads as a very drawn out one shot. Was boring and I was (for some strange reason) determined to finish it. Should have DNFed. Wasn't worth it.

It was a great listen. The story just got better with each book. The conclusion was worth the wait.
I enjoyed listening to all three books. It was such a complicated relationship with the characters but love wins in the end. The most important thing is what the tow people in the relationship need and not what everyone else thinks.

I was satisfied with the ending, because I almost thought there wasn’t going to be one happy ending. In the storyline there continued to be a lot of bickering and misunderstanding. But at the end everything unfolded beautifully.
