Book 3 of the Town Lost in Time series of time travel romances! Deep in the forests of Western Washington, near the majestic dormant volcano called Mount Rainier, lays a small town that exists only in history. Partially submerged by a lake and largely buried by mud, weeds, grass and trees, Kaskade is lost in time. Unable or unwilling to die its natural death, Kaskade comes to life over a hundred years into the future on the summer solstice, hoping to capture new life for the town. Not everyone who is taken will stay in Kaskade. Most of them return to the future on the next summer solstice. Who will Kaskade take next? And will they stay? Brother and sister Jefferson and Martha Lundrum have settled into life as a lifelong bachelor and spinster. Does Kaskade have other ideas for them?
I've been writing romance fiction since 2006 and have published 20 books. I write time travel romances, contemporary romances, romantic suspense, and light paranormal romances (lovelorn ghosty stuff).
A gypsy at heart, I've lived in Aruba, Venezuela, Arizona and California (thanks to my parents, and in Guam, Wyoming, Washington State, Belgium, Washington D.C., Maryland, Montana, Turkey and Alaska (thanks to my time in the U.S. Air Force. Since then, I've lived in Idaho, Nebraska and Alabama in addition to visiting many more countries and states, and I'm determined to Goodreads friend everyone from all those places plus many more!
I absolutely loved this story and this series. In my opinion this was the best book in the series. I loved the newest characters and of course the old. When I started this book I just knew I needed at least two books to finish my vision of Kaskade, but this book added a delightful twist and answered all my questions. I'm so glad things happened the way they did.
Bess is just amazing in her writing skills and I always enjoy her books so much. This time was no exception.
The premise of the series was good but it was somewhat disappointing. Josie was annoying. Jefferson deserves better. In each story, we didn’t get to see the falling in love part. The author’s other books and series are much better. I recommend Across The Winds of Time, and series Moonlight, Train Through Time and Highlander.
Or found in time. I just love Bess McBride books. I find them well written and suitable for teen reading and up. Just a nice, clean romantic story. Looks like at least another (book 4) may be in the works. Can't wait.
This book was better than the first book in the series, but it still doesn't stand up to McBride's Train Through Time series or her Moonlight Wishes in Time series.
