The Altered
What they thought was global warming was something far more sinister.

I found this book a difficult read. The writing style didn’t encourage the reader to bond with the characters it was very clinical but perhaps that was the idea of the author. What I did like about the story was the challenging ideas on how we perceive our world. I liked that it provoked further thought.

“The Altered by MG Hardie has an engaging premise and kept me interested throughout. It is a very smart, interesting book that gave me a lot of things to contemplate. I really like the interesting fusion of the sci-fi and superhero genres and found this particularly effective.”- Steven Mitchell
