He spent a significant part of his early life in various parts of the world, including the Far East, Middle East, the South Atlantic, and West Africa. Later life has seen him venture to the USA, New Zealand, Europe, and Ireland. He began writing while still at school, where he was president of the Debating Society and won the Robb Trophy for public speaking. He combined his writing with his technical skills as a professional Technical Author and later as an internal communications specialist. His first novel was "A Country Fly" and he is currently writing a new fantasy title.

Robust new start
I have been waiting for this new book for a few months, and it's a nice start to what feels like a fresh series from an author whose work I love. Albeit with a few familiar elements...
As always the protagonist is interesting and has hidden depths that slowly emerge. And as always, the plot is intricate and reveals itself gradually, with hints and subtlety hidden behind the reactions of mundane humans to extraordinary happenings. Very much like how you or I would feel if the like were to happen in our lives...
Each tale in this arc of stories will have a different protagonist so I can't wait to see the other characters who emerge.. I do wish the author would do a first person novel sometime though...!
Adventure, exploration, suspense, and great action. Five stars
