This guide is set up straightforwardly with 40 lessons related to your professional growth. This is a book you can read in the course of a day or choose to review one lesson daily over the course of 6 weeks. The dedication is telling: “May you be more successful than you dreamed possible.”

The overall premise is a satisfying career requires a systematic approach and commitment. The author uses his own life lessons spanning a 20-year career in digital product, business analysis, web development and marketing.

Two lessons stood out to me.
Lesson 1: Carefully Choose Role Models—“The first place to start is by observing and interacting with people around you. Specifically, people that are older, more mature or smarter than yourself. You can learn so much from surrounding yourself with people that are better or smarter than you at something–they will lift you up in ways you can't imagine!”
Lesson 15: One hour a Day/Continuous Learning—“Technology and knowledge change quickly. To stay current with information and progress in your area of work, dedicate one hour a day for study per day. There really is no other way to stay current and to learn new skills.”

Awesome

Pretty mindful read, plan to re-read soon!!!, it's real talk about being there for your manager. We often think of them as robots that somehow have a easier job...so not true.

A great source of information.

I enjoyed all of the information in this book, most was useful to me and the things I didn't need I could pass on in conversation to family and friends. I was also able to pass on information in coaching sessions.
