They come in the night, when the moonlight has long gone and the fog rolls in, trickling its way through your bedroom window. They want to take, to kill-- to feed.

Blue Graves is a Slayer, a legacy created from one of the most prominent bloodlines in the world. When tragedy struck all those years ago, she found herself exiled in a world of monsters with nobody to turn to except for her sister Harlow. The years have pushed her to be the best hunter there ever was, and when a pardon arrives, inviting Blue to attend the prestigious Arcane Academy, she jumps at the chance to regain the family honor her parents threw away.

Behind the gates of Arcane, Blue is forced to face the world she left behind and judged for crimes she did not commit. Three alluring guys vie for her attention and for her shattered heart while an old friend suffers in the face of Blues return. Her world is changing once again, and when a horde of Vampires threaten the last remaining family member she has left, Blue must risk it all, even if it puts everyone she loves in grave danger.

Disclaimer-- This is a RH title in which one woman has multiple love interests. 18+ due to violence, strong language and sexual situations.
~Can be read as a standalone, Blues story will continue in book two.~

A sloppy mess

Pro:
- Interesting enough plot to start

Cons:
-Not a single apostrophe was used correctly
- Every other use of the word "your" was incorrect
- The only tiny bit of world building was handled via info dump rather than story telling
- There was no character development
- There was no relationship building
- The dialogue was stilted and unoriginal

Conclusion:
This author has been added to my "Never Again" list. I have better things to do with my time than read books written by an author who has so little respect for her readers and the written word.

This was an ok read, I found the plot to be pretty decent and it kept me interested. Personally, I'm not a fan of Insta love, and felt that the authour could have taken more time with the character development and the relationship development side of things. I quite like the main female character, Blue, she's just the right amount of badass but with genuine emotions and fears. There isnt alot of details for the other characters really. There were a few grammatical errors throughout the book, but not too many to seriously distract you from the story. I would have liked more world building, more detailed descriptions of people and places etc. It felt like the story was rushed a bit, but overall was a fairly enjoyable read. Will I read the second book? Hmmm maybe if I'm having a bit of a dry spell and waiting on other books to come out, but the second book for this series is just not at the top of my "To Read" list unfortunately.

Umm tell me there's more?

I really enjoyed the story. Blue was an amazing lead, strong, yet there's kindness and softness in her. There were minor issues that can easily be fixed and didn't really detract anything from the story. I hope, really hope there is more to her story. I want to see more relationship building between her and her three (amazing!) guys. And also more on her relationship with her sister and her (hopefully) friend. Btw, I loved how the three guys didn't really interact with each other before Blue...most rh seem to center around pre-made groups, so this was a welcome change <3 definitely want to see more on how they interact with one another and around Blue given that they all love her and want to be with her.

I couldn’t finish it.
The writing was unfortunately quite sloppy. It read like it was written from an RH Fantasy phrasebook.
I made it about 25% of the way through. While the plot was interesting so far, the dialogue was so cheesy and the interactions so rushed that I couldn’t continue reading, as my eyes wouldn’t stop rolling.

Pros: Plot seemed interesting enough, writing was descriptive
Cons: Cheesy dialogue, poor editing, rushed scenes, forced character and plot development, poor world building

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to finding out what happens next for Blue, her trio of boys, her sister and friends, at Arcane Academy. This is a very interesting take on Slayers and Vampires. Too bad I have to wait until July for the next book!

An amazing book with an amazing heroine. This book drew me in right from the start and I cannot wait to read the rest of the series. I absolutely fell in love with this book immediately. I will definitely be keeping an eye on this author.

Good, wanting another

This book is good like where it started, felt it could have been made into a series but the end felt like a quick wrap up to get the happy ever after.

This was really good!

I liked this more then I was expecting. Blue is really likeable, and the guys are great. It's moves along at a nice pace, with no cliffhanger ending!

Loved this book! Read it in one sitting, some of the drama with the men in her life was childish, but was still such a great book.

So ready for the next one.

A fairly decent book, though more editing and fleshing out the relationships would be a good idea.
