Quite a book of individual or self initiation. The Wizard's Potion describes the experience while using the plant ally or flying ointment of the witches to join the Esbat and Sabbat on the Astral Plane. Compatible with systems like Gnostic Vodun or and kind of necromantic magick but essentially for the advanced adept. Those who have not "Come into days" are warned against deploying it's methods. those described in psychiatric terms as conflicted, exhibiting an outwardly projected identity disorder. "Ceremony for them is always dramatic,clumsy and aggressive. Bouts of paroxysmal grief are commonplace,alongside with histrionic outbursts the 'mirroring of others' processing ." In other words Charles Manson types stay away. This book is for those with a full two decades or more of ritual work behind them, in whatever tradition.While the book is nothing less than the overthrow of the patriarchal and authoritarian order it is invisible to the character neurotic. If they came across it they would dismiss it out of hand.It is not easy for the modern woman to overcome these patriarchal character structures within themselves. As they have embodied them. And,this is a Mystery of the Dyad, but an eidolon thereof! In ceremony they ‘struggle’ to overcome the rigidity of human plasma. And this makes ‘The Knowledge’ of the Wizard Potion inaccessible to them.

The process takes about three and a half days. Begin on the eve of the New Moon with appropriate purification rituals. A fascinating nexus of many traditions including Tibetan and Indian along with hermetic, alchemical, theosophical and qabalistic (Crowley/Kenneth Grant).

One of many references that was new to me was “The Hermetical Triumph”.

I am looking forward to more researches in occult hyperchemistry in Karl Stone’s next book on the Mystery of the Dyad.
