Alex and Jess are beginning a few phase of their life together. Alex is dreaming of a woman in grey and Annie keeps seeing a little girl clutching a white bunny. As the two women bond with their new, little girl, Alex begins to get more and more distracted by the lake itself. Drawn to its murky depths, one night she goes in-and comes back with more than she bargained for. Suddenly in the middle of a murder investigation, Alex and Jess’s hope for a quiet week away are ruined. Will Alex be able to solve the mystery of Echo Lake? Find out in…Echo Lake.
AJ Estelliam loves sunsets, sandy toes and hot baths. She relaxes by writing and being able to lose herself in a fantasy world where anything is possible. Her inspiration comes from gorgeous pictures, photos and places she visits. Alex Hope was inspired initially by a photograph...and then her story began. AJ is currently working on more Alex Hope novels. 'I love the relationship I have written between Alex and Jess. It's an all-consuming love and they're friends, lovers and soul mates. It's the kind of love everyone is looking for really-aside from the psychic ability and murders though!'
Enjoyable read! This book #7 was supposed to be a rekindling of their romance and love which happened only for a few chapters before things took a dark and haunting turn. It was a short plotline -- with the author packing a lot into which even had a very good ending. This might be the last book but from how it concluded, it's not the end of the series --- still has more gruesome plotlines to come. Highly recommended book and series!
Fucking hell! Proper turn pager! Shorter then the others in the series... but damn! It's good! If you've read the previous books, you'll no they are dark, quite gruesome and graphic. .. well this is the same as the other books, it can be hard to read in a certain part ( I skipped that page).
A.J Estelliam definitely knows how to keep her readers gripped. I really do recommend this series, just bare in mind, some of you may find it a hard read.
2,25 stars Final book in the series, apparently. Left just open enough for other books to follow if needed. I'm not sure what more to say that I haven't said about the previous books. The formula remains the same.
Tragic in more ways than one, though shorter than the others it’s still has gripping and engaging, Alex powers seem to be growing again, I’m definitely looking foreword to the next book.
“I don’t know what to say to you to make any of this better. I am like a time-bomb, waiting to implode.”
“We both know I can’t control it. I don’t know what to say to you to make any of this better. I am like a time-bomb, waiting to implode. Nothing I do makes a difference and unless somehow, someday this just stops, I don’t know what to say.”
“Make a decision. You can either live with it, or not. I’m not going to force you to stay with me and live a life where you’re constantly in fear of what may or may not happen.”
“Our eyes held and I knew why she was so frustrated…why she was so worried. It wasn’t because of what I had done; it was because she loved me.”
“Make a decision. You can either live with it, or not. I’m not going to force you to stay with me and live a life where you’re constantly in fear of what may or may not happen.”
“Life would be better for her with her own family and I would just have to content myself with the fact that I had been a small part of her life for a brief moment in time.” •…×…•…×…• Wonderfully written, wonderfully developed, wonderfully told, wonderfully enjoyed!
An emotional & entertaining story with characters that become so authentic they truly become like real people in your mind & a riveting plot lines that draws you in so effortlessly & subtly without you even noticing.
Very nice. Awesome name, too. "Echo Lake" is about Alex and Jess going on a vacation with little Annie to the haunted and simultaneously breathtaking Echo Lake. Alex thinks she's going to be able to just relax, but she sees a vision, which leads her to another disturbing find in the lake. Together, Jess and Alex will have to find Annie when she is abducted, but along with finding Annie they come to a realization that Annie might not be who they thought she was.
Will there be a Alex Hope, #8? I don't know if there will, I don't know if this is it, but I sure hope there will be at least one more for the Alex-Jess crime solving duos last hurrah.
3 stars. Well, I did not see that coming. This wasn't a terrible way to end this series but honestly let me just say that Jess deserves better. Alex is an asshole and I would've been even happier if this ended with them going their separate ways but whatever.
Another good one be A.J., this one was a novella but it was a nail bitter. It was hard reading what Anna went through. Can't wait for the next installment.
