From the author of the hugely successful titles How Your Horse Moves and Horse Anatomy for Performance, comes a completely different training manual - also based upon the Horses Inside Out philosophy: 'Understanding Anatomy Improves Performance and Reduces the Risk of Injury'.
Divided into three main parts: Principles of Anatomical Riding; Exercises for Horse and Rider; and Troubleshooting, it contains a wealth of practical tips and exercises broken down into easy to follow, well-illustrated steps showing how riders can improve their riding skills and potential.
Based on the principles of anatomy and biomechanics with welfare in mind, this book will advise on: - Skeletal maturity - How to achieve good back posture - How to reduce strain on ligaments - Exercises for suppleness and core stability and much more.
En fullmatad bok med det mesta man behöver veta om hästens biomekanik. Bra genomgångar hur olika övningar påverkar hästen, både skelett och muskulärt. Rekommenderas!
We ask a lot of horses' bodies -- it's our duty to understand exactly what we are asking and how to best support it. This book has helped connect some of the more specific dots for me and I know I will be referring back to it frequently. It's dense but streamlined (being nothing especially insightful for those more familiar with biomechanics), and an invaluable addition to my equestrian shelf.
