About the author

Jon Cronshaw is a British science fiction and fantasy author based in the north of England, just south of the wall.
As a freelance features writer, he has had work published in local and national newspapers across the UK, including the Yorkshire Post and the Guardian.
He earned his PhD in history of art from the University of Leeds in 2011, focusing on the life and work of Anglo-American sculptor, Jacob Epstein (1880-1959).
He's a voracious reader, guide dog owner, ex-gamer, and wrestling fan.

Kat's journey takes another unforeseen turn and a secret is revealed about Witz, however the revelation creates more unanswered questions for Kat and her readers. Once again Jon Cronshaw has created an excellent addition to this series with this installment in the journey. I received an Advance Review Copy and chose to provide this review.

After a near epic fail, our MC is protected once again by a mentor she isn’t really sure of. But this episode definitely shows a clear tie in with the strength tarot card. And once again, another chapter in her growth begins. All my reviews are always voluntarily written.

Keeps getting better and better. I like this series cause you can read one, and then go to the next one days/weeks later and don’t feel confused or lost.

Witz the wyvern finds Kat making her way home. When he finds out why she is doing that he tells her that she is not allowed to go back home. She is going back to the guardians and he is going with her. We learn that Witz has some pull with the guardians but not why he has that power. This problem fixed she is now an apprentice and put to work Learning her new trade.

Kat returns to the Guardians upon Witz's request. Her life changes when she is accepted, and she is to become a Watcher. Scram takes her and she begins her training but not without a few intense moments. She continues to have to figure out what this destiny of hers is and where its going to take. Her journey continues and not sure where it might lead her.
