Twelve years ago, the novel Dourado, by David Wood, introduced the world to the treasure-hunting duo of Dane Maddock and ‘Bones’ Bonebrake—former Navy SEALs on a quest to discover the strangest treasures of the ancient world. Over the course of more than twenty novels, you’ve lived their adventures, from the beginning of their career as elite commandos, to their battle against the worldwide conspiracy known as the Dominion.

Now, the time has come to tell the story of Dane and Bones’ final, shocking mission as Navy SEALs.

THERE WILL BE BLOOD….

While still mourning a great personal loss, Maddock and Bones are sent undercover to Moscow to assist an old acquaintance, Navy Intelligence officer Zara Leopov. Leopov is orchestrating the defection of a Russian archivist who has discovered a crucial clue concerning the fate of a high-ranking Nazi official who went missing at the end of World War II, a man who may have carried with him the most sacred relic of the Third Reich.

The search to discover the truth, will take Dane and Bones around the world, and throw back the curtain on a conspiracy born in the early hours of the Cold War—a shadow government that is manipulating the global powers, driving them headlong into the storm.

Praise for David Wood and Sean Ellis!

“Bloodstorm takes us back to the beginning, weaving treasure-hunting SEALS Dane and Bones into a globe-spanning clash with Russian mobsters and the lost supernatural power of the Third Reich. If you like ancient artifacts, Nazi gold, and empire-ending conspiracies delivered like a punch to the teeth, you'll love Wood and Ellis' latest addition to the Dane Maddock universe."—Taylor Zajonc, award winning author of The Maw

“Dane and Bones. Together they're unstoppable. Rip roaring action from start to finish. Wit and humor throughout. Just one question - how soon until the next one? Because I can't wait.”-Graham Brown, author of Shadows of the Midnight Sun

“What an adventure! A great read that provides lots of action, and thoughtful insight as well, into strange realms that are sometimes best left unexplored.” -Paul Kemprecos, author of Cool Blue Tomb and the NUMA Files

“Ellis and Wood are a partnership forged in the fires of Hell. Books don’t burn hotter than this!” -Steven Savile, author of the Ogmios thrillers

I really enjoyed this story, as it involves Maddock and Bones in their last adventure as Navy SEALS. There are so many historical overtones and the action was non-stop, which made for a great audiobook experience. The narration by Jeffrey Kafer was top-notch, as always, and it was hard to stop listening.

I loved this full action adventure. I have listened to a number of books featuring Dane Maddock and ‘Bones’ Bonebrake, not necessarily in the right order and I have to say this is up there as one of my favourites. There was the usual history and hunting for treasure but there was a lot more action and skill as the team tackles there last case as Navy Seals. Hoorah!
The death of his parents has Haddock questioning what he is doing with his life but before he can start a new chapter in his life he and his team has one final mission. Navy Intelligence officer Zara Leopov needs help prodding a Russian archivist that has made a discover that has put her and her boss on a bit list. In order to keep her safe the team splits up and when Maddocks side of the plan goes sideways he and Zara find themselves fighting for there lives. Bones is powerless to help when the higher ups takes over his operation and the only way to rescue Maddock is to beat the Russians to the treasure.
I like the narrator. He is the voice of Maddock and Bones and I can't imagine anybody else doing them the justice they deserve like he can.
I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntary left this review.

I love the chase and this one does not disappoint. You travel across the world, more specifically 4 continents during this very extreme and exciting chase. It blends a whole lot of history facts with a great fictional tale and together they make such a rewarding roller coaster ride. I have to admit, I found that the story did drag a little near the middle but not enough to deter me or take my attention away. I think I just wanted more action, more action, more action. The narration is done wonderfully. There are so many different accents and the performer nails them all. I have followed this series for many books. The thing I love most is that you can pick up one book should you be interested and not necessarily go in order, however I would definitely recommend that you battle alongside our heroes and go start to finish.

The End of the Beginning. This was an excellent tale of Dane Maddock and Uriah 'Bones' Bonebreak's final mission as US Navy SEALs. As with the Star Wars prequel series, everything we have known that was specific to this era and would not continue into the next is resolved, while the things that do continue into the next era are set up nicely and alluded to hilariously. Truly an excellent tale that does all that it needs to do yet never feels burdened by the load at all, doing it all organically within the story itself.

Bloodstorm by David Woods and Sean Ellis immediately pulled me in. I love how the authors have created the characters of Dane and Bones, by making them rough around the edges. They wrote this book careful historical detail and meshing it with fiction, it was like an Indiana Jones adventure for my ears and imagination. I could visualize so many details. Jeffrey Kafer was wonderful bringing the characters to life with his voice. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by the authors and narrator. I love this series!

Maddock and Bones at their best, transitioning from SEALS on a mission to ace treasure hunters in search of lost mysteries. You will like the plot development, the characters and the insight into some rather dark aspects of recent history. Don't miss this one.

Bloodstorm

An interesting story of Spy vs Spy. The story line changes so quickly the reader cannot get ahead of it. Ex military or historian puffs will enjoy the reference to Hitler's friends. Excellent reading.

Continuing the early adventures of Dane and Bones, see's them on the hunt for a mysterious relic used by Hitler. Good story that brings the story nearly to the start of the main books.

This is Dane and Bones last adventure as SEALS. It was quite boring for a while but it soon picked up the pace and the expected thrill and fast paced adventure followed. This book was printed in Great Britain by Amazon and it was a shoddy job. Over 100 pages were so badly formatted with no space between the lines so that the bottom half of the letters were non existent making for a very unpleasant reading experience. And the book title on each page was “BLOODSOTRM”… very very poor job. Seeing that, having read all of the Dane and Bones adventures, and this being the last book, I was very disappointed.
