The BITTER series finally comes to an explosive, yet BITTERSWEET ending that will be relatable to readers of all ages.
I loved reading this book collection and I realize this was something that I'm going through and it really helping to realize that I need to myself first i want to thank you for writing the book collects I read your other books now that I'm finish with bitter collection I'm on to your other books keepbdoing what you do best
What can I see my emotions are all over the place! Bittersweet had me smiling laughing sad mad and crying! I'm glad Shakela came through with this series as women we are naturally emotional creatures but when and after we carry and deliver those emotions become stronger! But please dont get it twisted men are emotional too and when both sexes emotions intertwine boy is it chaotic! Each of these women stories touched me in a different way and even the men but the one I will never forgive is Dante so if he hiding six feet under somewhere he deserves it! Yes this series is sweet and salty but so worth reading! Awesome job Shakela!
Not only do I love this series because of the story (I love me some Zuri, Vee & Flip) but I also love this because it’s relatable. I’ve learned so much from this series. The BITTER movement Zuri created and the life lessons she and the rest of the girls have learned along the way was really inspiring. This wasn’t just a story of love and heartbreak and everything in between, this was a story of finding yourself. I’ll recommend this series to everyone!
IT WAS NEAT TO LEARN EACH LADY STORY AND HOW IT ALL CAME FULL CIRCLE... GLAD THEY GOT TO A POINT TO STOP BEING BITTER AND WANTING BETTER... I LOVE THE SPIN ON THE WORD BITTER (B)EAUTY (I)N (T)RYING (T)O (E)MOTIONALLY (R)ECOVER IT'S NOT ALWAYS EASY BUT IT'S WORTH IT...
First I didn't care for all the switching characters. Second I can't believe aftet everything Zuri winds up back with Flip. It makes no sense to me. Then he was so nonchalant about the abortion. It was a whole mess. Then for Dante to get off after basically killing his daughter. Ugghh so not cool. Glad the ladies grew and bonded and got their version of HEA even of its not with the exact person I thought was a better choice (Zuri) but oh well to each its own. A different type of read still pretty good though.
I read the entire series and I related to each one of the ladies on some level emotionally.I've been Valencia.I too got my blessing in my spouse after being a single mother of two.my differences was I never blamed the other woman just him he owed me loyalty not her.so with that being said Thank you from the depths of my heart for such an enlightening an relatable story.sincerely,Stephanie
I love a long book, so when you released Bitter I was sooo hype! The first book was bomb, I didn’t know you finished the series but was excited. Book two was great but when I got to book 3 I felt Zuri should’ve been progressing more. It was almost as if she stayed stagnant. Then the end of 3 you only get a small glimpse of her growth. That was my only issue, I wanted more of her in that butterfly phase. Can’t wait to get into more from this author!
I’ve been waiting for this book and I can honestly say it was worth the wait. Every woman’s story was different and insightful, showing pros, cons, and consequences. I saw a little of myself in each character and can relate on different levels. Finishing this book was very bittersweet
Yeeeessssss!!!! Yes ma’am! Now that’s how end it! I’m so happy I found this series back in KU again. I started reading this series a year or two ago, and was disappointed that the other books weren’t available. This was a great read and I loved every character and their story. You guys please read you will not be disappointed
From book 1 to book 4 , these Ladies have had me on a roller coaster ride. I'm glad everyone has started to heal and realize that they needed to self love and know their worth. Great job in telling this story. I wished Did I and Tristan would have worked out. Glad the ladies that share the same baby daddy could come together for the sake of the children.
So many emotions raced through me throughout the entire book. I cried, laughed was mad happy & sad all in one! I loved everything about this book!! Omg I’m so overjoyed I finally got the ending..
Glad the ending came full circle, the growth that all these women showed throughout this series was amazing. Not everyone got their storybook happy ending but learning to love themselves was the best ending
This book was really great. It's so true how love makes women behave and how men hurt them to the core. I'm glad that the women grew and found love and peace. I hated that Tamia had to deal with losing her child because of her BD. That made me so sad.
Yes!! I'm gonna miss some of these characters and was not happy with Zuri's choice but I loved how she prevailed in the end and my girl Valencia I was sooo happy for her.
I did enjoy the series enough to finish it, it was a bit tough due to the dragging and repetition. The last book good because I got the questions answered.... I don’t understand why everyone got their own story it was just a bit much for me, I couldn’t even finish Halo story bc so I was over it! O and Velencia bothered me 🙄
