Only a few days have passed since I crossed the Barrier into the demon realm looking for answers, but in those days, everything has changed.
I’ve lost my home, my job and almost my life.
I’ve learned the truth about what I am, and it’s fucking terrifying.
Restoring the Barrier that separates the demon and human worlds comes down to me.
One minor problem – I have no idea how to do it.
My father left me clues before he died but following them is going to prove more dangerous than anything I’ve faced before. Luckily, I don’t have to face it alone.
The magical connection to my three protectors is growing stronger every day.
It’s not just the magic that draws me to them – they’re sexy and powerful, and each bear their own hidden scars.
While my three men are bound to keep me safe, the magic that joins us won’t be complete until we find the fourth. Without him, we’re still vulnerable.
On the run from the Demon Council, we journey into remote forest and seek the help of a werewolf pack who live outside the control of the Council.
But everything here is not as it seems – and trusting the wrong person could get us all killed.
So a good addition to the series, and it follows much the same of the first book with action, suspense, paranormal -need and some slow burn maybe reverse harem type romance. Now while to me this is a slow burn romance there is an instance where a three men are present and some barriers are broken down between them if you will that leaves us wondering if the relationship between the makes might change in a way they didn't expect since their bonding with Lana. And I'm kind of hoping it changes for them cause that could be very interesting. So while I liked this book it's seems like since the end of the first book our group keeps getting hit with surprises and not all of them good but things can only get better hopefully. There was also a moment of two that were really dark or horror-ish to me that kind of surprised me because I wasn't expecting things to escalate to that degree. But those things don't detract from the story just add depth to it and our chracters. My only real complaint is a couple instances of continuity like something magically changes positions from where it has been for the whole story of someone's eyes are different, not a huge thing but it did make me stumble over it for a second. Overall its a good book, but definitely a series to read in order. I can't wait to see how this author and her stories both continue to grow and develop in the future but it especially what happens in this story. Now one other thing the end of this book is a bit of a cliffhanger but not a super huge one. Good book would recommend.
Amazing part two of Land's story. Ms. West leaves you hanging and wanting more in this second book of the series. Great story line in a truly well imagined world where demons, vampires, and shifters exist along side humans. I love the way three main character is written, not a total badass but not completely a weakling either. Cannot wait for the third book to come out.
To get to Lana mom in the human world faster they need to go through wood in dark town and territory the The Grey Pack to go through the barrier to get them to her mom faster. Reuben's old pack that banished and disowned him. He would have to open up old wounds but he was wasn't expecting a boom shell of a secret to hit him. Some unexpected things happen and the demon council get a hold of Lana. Now Gabriel, Alex, and Reuben must figure out a way to save her.
Book 2 was one heck of a ride! With the world set up in book 1 we get to learn more about the characters in book 2. Loved the story and the characters. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book because that ending was killer!
Book 2 doesn’t disappoint. But watch out for the cliffhanger!
I loved book 1 and this next one didn’t change that and got me in love with this author again. I hope we don’t have to wait to long for book 3 because this end was a cliffhanger and I hate those!
This book gave us more about Rueben history. The Grey pack brought so many more problems for Lana. Not sure what the next book with do to complete the bond. Can't wait to see you saves who.
I enjoyed this book. This book picks up from a cliffhanger and leaves on one. I'm not going to spoil the story but this series is shaping up to be epic. I cant wait to know how this all ends.
Pretty good - well written, but really left me hanging and not too much character development in this instalment. Hope the next book comes out quickly.
Well book 2 The Grey Pack definitely exceeded my expectations and came out better than the first. I really enjoyed reading about Lana and her guys and what happens now. I’m ready to dive into book 3 with that ending.
Well, without going into spoiler territory, let me give you a fair warning: this book left off with a huge cliffhanger that made me all emotional and sh#*. I know everything will be okay in the end, but it gets worse before it gets better. The author knows how to write an amazing story and the pace of the book is really one I like. There are quite a few plot twists and I am really looking forward to reading the next book.
