New editing The whole series has been edited and revised on August 10, 2023.Enjoy! The plot builds with each book as a puzzle for the reader to figure out. This book sets up everything to start unfolding. Book one is written in only Octavia’s perspective, but multiple point of views begin in book two. Book SummaryBeast or Man.Friend or Foe.Truth or Lie.Everything had a counterpart. Another side always revealed—like a coin—when we least expected it.Though, with these boys, I wasn’t sure if any light remained in them. Maybe once upon a time they had a tender side, but something snuffed it out. That traumatic thing never allowed mercy to lead their judgment. Kindness didn’t exist within them anymore. I wanted to know what it was. They were the most stunning kinds of men within the world’s standards, but I saw what the jaded eyes didn’t. Under their façade of beauty lie beasts of suffering.I noticed, so my bullies made me their target. They lashed their anger out on me. My pain excited them.I should’ve run. I should’ve been smarter than this. Yet, I couldn’t back down. I couldn’t let them win. With how messed up I was, part of me craved their cruelness, longed for their attention—even if it was only negative.Whether this mistake ended me or not, I’d never felt more alive. Now, it was just unraveling their secrets to help me win this sick and twisted game. Readers should be 18+ for explicit content. Trigger warnings for sexual and physical abuse in this series. Sexual situations happen outside the harem in this book.

Super weird.

Ending Omen is and was a weird book to dive into. Short though so you only have to deal with so much weirdness. Not weirdly enough, my buddy - aka the AMAZING Andy suffered with me. Heck, she read it first and just said it was strange. Then I read it with all hopes of being weirded out. Long story short, it worked and I was.

In this book, you will meet Octavia but she goes by Via. No idea why, but hey it's her nickname. Her whole life is one giant mess. From growing up with a terrible mother, who I don't even want to dive into that hot mess of a rabbit hole. Ugh, mom of the year.

Well, if that wasn't the cherry on top - Via has dreams constantly about guys. They are usually doing something sexual and it kind of leads to someone dying.. or something like that. Dun dun dun.

Now besides her homelife being complete shit, there's also her school life. It's also complete shit. Day in and day out.. shitty. What isn't shitty, her friendship was the best thing ever. I died at the end of this book when they were talking about chess. Died. They reminded me of me because I sure as heck don't know what their officials names are and I definitely give them cooler names. I also don't play chess so there's that.

Overall, do I really want to dive into the next book? Heck yes, I need more weirdness and it doesn't hurt that these books are super short.

yeeeeaaaahhhhhh.....about all those recommendations and the pretty high rating for this book....WTF!

I'm sorry...did we read the same book??!!

First few pages were interesting and then we get to the detention scene and it became an immediate DNF.

I have no desire to read a book where the heroine sees one of her guys screwing a teacher, anally...its repeated plenty of times just so your clear, with a few others from her harem watching and jacking off and SHE GETS TURNED ON...nope, nada, immediate DNF for me.

It seems like there's a couple of versions floating around and mine was just disgusting.

I AM OUT. PEACE.

While Ending Omen was semi enjoyable at times, I'm mostly just so confused as to what is going on.

Octavia Clarke, AKA Via/V, has had a messed up life. Her mother is a drug addicted stripper and they live in a tiny trailer park. Most of their money ends up going towards Via's mother's lifestyle. However, that's not the worst thing wrong in Via's life. Via has dreams of strange and vile men. Men who get off on killing, raping and torturing their victims until they die. After a car accident, a stranger from Via's mother's past comes and "recuses" her. Now while Via's mom recovers in rehab, Via has to go to an elite private school.

Via was a good protagonist. It was hard to relate to her at times because of how messed up her life/head is, but I loved her spirit. Via doesn't let life drag her down, no matter what it throws at her. This girl is claws and teeth. I loved how she constantly managed to flip the power dynamic back on Sevrin and his goonies.

The connection between Via and the seven wasn't explained very well so I don't understand the attraction to them. I'm sure this was deliberate since there's an author's note at the beginning of the ebook stating that you'll be confused by the end. It was a weird note but a nice thought nonetheless.

The bully part wasn't too bad. But this is mainly due to Via's ferocity. She does not back down easily and she refuses to let Sevrin intimidate her into submission. Had she been constantly cowed, I don't think I would've been able to finish this. I am curious to see what happens next, but I'm not sure when/if I'll pick up the next book.

I really enjoyed this book! It’s Bully themed but the MC is not taking things lying down , my kinda FMC! With a great girl by her side (again refreshing) makes a unputdownable read. Maaan it travels at light speed , some parts you don’t get answers to but being a series you know it will eventually make sense! The authors note at the start is helpful as it explains that things are intitially confusing! Similar read to Amo Jones’ bullyverse book so if you enjoy that then you’ll love this! There is a hint of paranormal maybe shifter about this but no explanations as yet. Well I’m off to devour book 2 hoping it’s as good!

Powerful yet limited

I’m giving this 4 stars only because of length!!! This was a fantastic, yet short, read. Via is strong willed, cunning and a perfect MC in a read like this. Watch out boys the Queen is gonna call checkmate!

YES!!! I'd recommend to all of my friends!
I love a good Bully Romance and this took the cake. It is short but really good! Via is someone totally kickass who can adapt to new environments around her rather quickly. She's strong, slightly insane, and twisted when it comes to her attraction for the guys. She might be one of my favorite MC now from how well this author wrote her. This was my first time hearing of Ashley Amy, but I was not disappointed when I took a leap and read this book on KU! I love that this isn't an instalove and that we're left hating the guys from the start. I can't wait to see how she changes my mind on them and what's to come with all the little hints she left us with. Dang good writing in my opinion.
Plus, the sex scenes were hot and heavy already and she isn't even with the guys yet. We know them as the seven but we're still learning more about them from only being introduced to a few. The ending has me on edge and dying for the next one.

I need more!

This was a great start to this series! I have a ton of questions which always comes along with a truly interesting book! I liked how this book kept me guessing what was next and then putting in that twist I didnt see coming! Cant wait to see what the next book has in store for me.

I have read some reviews to where the sex scenes were brought into question and even saw where some had some complaints. However, I thought it was great! It wasn't overly filled with nothing but sex and the scenes were just right for me! I guess this is when you realize how everyone has their own opinions about some situations. So my advice for everyone is give this a try no matter what you have read in the reviews. You might just be surprised with how much you enjoy this. I know I sure was!

Seven monsters.One girl.

They promise to tear her apart like a fragile butterfly, like petals torn from a 'he loves me,he loves me not flower' and make it hurt while they are doing it. No one crosses the kings.

She is the queen of pain and promises to enjoy every moment of the shredding if they allow her the same courtesy to return the torture . She is an empath,a steel butterfly,a monster in the making and will walk their darkest dreams and become all seven of them once the dust settles.

School is going to be hell on earth.Let the torture begin.

It was good

It's a unique book. I liked the female lead. There's a paranormal aspect to this series that makes it more intriguing. I can say that at this point, I dislike all of the guys, but we don't really know any of them yet

This review is for the whole series.

The Omen series is an amalgamation of paranormal, heaven and hell, mythology and magic.
Each book is around 100pgs with book 1 ending before there’s enough setup to fully understand the world and situation. If this wasn’t KU I probably wouldn’t have continued, but that would’ve been my loss.
Octavia’s beginning is one of hardship and perseverance. Her’s is a heroine’s quest of action, adventure, and badassery, and I’m impressed with where her story started vs. where it ended.
The romance developed as a reverse harem (I seriously hate this term, but don’t know what else to call it) enemies to lovers and the bonds that forged were all encompassing and fabulous. The sex scenes also developed through each book so that by five and six I was downing the ice water and fanning myself saying, oh my! Super hot.
Completing the Omen series has left me with a bit of a book hangover as the characters stayed with me. Is the world building iconoclastic and complex? No. Is the plot line flawless? Also no. But do I recommend it? Most definitely.

I did uotknow where this story was going. It started with the heroine having a "dream". As I am writing this review, I am reading book 3 and the reader has a better understanding of what those dreams mean and what each of the heroes have to do with them.

Octavia has had a very difficult life. Her mother is a drug addict who is a stripper to sustain her drug habit. Her mother also brought questionable men into their home since she was little girl. However, Octavia, a.k.a. Via, loves her mother. (I am not sure why Via loves her mother so much when it seems her mother has done nothing but caused her pain.) One night as Via and her go out late to get something to eat they get into a car accident. In the hospital, the hospital and social worker determine that with the amount of drugs that are in Via's mom, she is unable to take care of Via. Immediately, Via, is informed that Via will be taken care by her "stepfather". Daemon claims that he wants to take care of Via's mother and put her in rehab. Daemon also signed up Via at the private school where his son, Lear, and his friends attend.

At the private school, Via makes friends, but she is sadly deceived by one. I almost DNFed at this point because I thought she gave in too quickly. I thought this is how she would be with all the guys at the school. They would be kind and she would just deliver. However, I kept going and as I mentioned I am at book 3 and glad I did not DNF.

WOW

Truthfully I didn’t have high expectations for this book because there’s been so many great bully romances released lately, but this book blew me away. This book definitely hit me in the heart and it was dark and I loved it. I’ve always had a soft spot for slightly insane MCs that always toe the line between brave and psychotic and Via is now my favorite. I loved this book and I’m so excited to see where this series go. Because it is a bully romance, there might be some things that are cliche to this genre but this book is still one of the best I’ve read. If you are loving the rise of the bully romance genre, this book is a must read!

So the sex people say is too much is a scene where the guys are using a woman to scare Via off. Via doesn’t back down and uses her best friend to show she can handle anything they toss at her.
The book opens when she’s “dreaming” as one of her killers who kills by having sex (there’s more to this in the future books).
Then our heroine falls for one of the guys and has sex with him.
I fell terrible this author is being harped on for writing a truly awesome storyline. Those are the three sexual parts in this book and people are saying it’s excessive. Go read a YA if you can’t handle a DARK romance.
This book is a teaser to the next ones that really begin the story so keep reading because they do get better.
There are no editing issues. Some just didn’t understand the book and that Via is an empath.

So this was...a lot.

If you like little development, non-existent character building and a judgemental heroine who pushes forward that god awful "not like other girls" mentality than this is definitely the book for you. It also partakes in that trope wherein the protagonist "fighting" against their tormentors is only from their ability to get the bullies off which, as one of the harem correctly points out in the earlier pages, isn't really winning considering they're the ones who get to finish.

description

Judging from the other reviews, there's definitely an audience for this. It's just not me.

I'm going to be quick and blunt here - I started this series this afternoon. It's just going at 7 pm and I'm starting book 3. Think that speaks for itself about how addicting this series is.

I almost didn't finish the first book. I was only a couple chapters in but it wasn't making sense... just didn't click.
Then the lights went out ( not telling) and when they came back on I was a goner!

I'm not sure if it's the twisted unknown, the subtle middle finger or our heroine feisty gives the darkness or maybe it is the anxiety of not knowing that has its claws in me - could be none or all of the above that is driving me forward into a most certain book hangover.

I can say you are either going to love it or hate it.
Me? I'm an addict (and that is another clue as well)

I'll be back to update as I move forward in the series

Book 2 &3
OMG OMG No flipping way!!!
As the story progresses things become a bit more twisted and intense.
The underlying mystery is driving up the suspense - it has me on edge and a bit rattled
You are not going to believe who is the seventh!!
As V begins to make her move on the board - one she did not know she was in control of until she heard a bit of a discussion (she may have been ease dropping)
A bit of hilarity ensues (had me cracking up) and some chances are taken

Book 4
Did you fire your editor? We were doing great here what happened?
Despite the above mentioned problem - I did continue I am half way trough this episode
I am enjoying the character development and the twists in the plot line

Potential is there....

SEE UPDATE

I don't want to sound harsh or overly critical, but while the potential is here for an original and intriguing storyline, it's difficult to overlook the numerous grammatical errors - and I mean numerous! Incorrect word usage, tenses, missing words (and for the love of god, anywayS is NOT a word, it's anyway NO s!) gah!!!! If you're going to put all that creative work and effort into writing, then PLEASE utilize a professional editor, proofreader and formatter before you hit the submit to publish button! I gave this 2 stars for the premise of the story (and I didn't need a warning that I might get confused - it's a series so I don't expect all the answers in book 1, but I do expect cohesive thoughts and a professional presentation), stars were lost for the grammatical mess. Sorry. I'll give book 2 a go before I give up.

Update: I changed my rating to 3 stars. I DO recommend this series - each book gets better than the last! If you like kinky and filth dirty, then it’s a must read!

Gotta start checking publication dates 🤦‍♀️

Not sure what to say that won't give stuff away. Just be prepared it has a cliffhanger, and it just came out on April 10th apparently so no telling how long until the next one. I'm interested to see where the story is going.... I tried looking for a website or Facebook page for Author but did not find one. Not sure how I'm gonna know when the next one will come out hopefully it pops up on my recommendations and I notice it 🤷‍♀️

I love a good Bully romance and can't wait to see the paranormal aspect come out more. She leaves us questioning what exactly it is that they can do and I actually liked the hinting instead of being straightforward. It makes me want to read more. Good writing to be left needing to know what will come next.

This book was awesome! After stalking the author for a while, I found her on FB to find out the next will be coming out in a few weeks. I need it now though! That cliffhanger has me dying for more! I absolutely love Via and her intense need to get even with the guys.

Grammatical errors but good story

If you can get past the grammatical errors, unnecessary spacing, and only slightly repetitious “breath froze”, it’s actually a pretty good story. MULTIPLE TRIGGERS WARNING, so don’t read unless you are absolutely sure you can handle it. I also like how the author barely reveals anything, only enough to have you take a good guess. The book ends on a MAJOR cliffhanger! So if you’re not a fan of those, you’ve been warned. All in all 4 stars for the quality of the story. Hopefully the next book has less errors!
