Cal has never had a deadline with so much pressure and so many lives at stake . . .

When a famous Russian journalist ends up murdered in his own home, his death barely makes the news. But in his final dying breath, he gave his daughter some information and one last wish: Get the information to Cal Murphy.

In Russia to cover the World Cup soccer tournament, Cal learns of a turf war developing between two rival Eastern European mafia gangs—and how thousands of innocent people could be the collateral from the two groups' impending clash.

Instead of solving a murder, Cal must do whatever he can to prevent a terrorist act that could leave thousands dead, all while navigating the dicey U.S.-Russian political waters and dodging the FSB agents owned by the mafia. Cal has never before been on an assignment this dangerous . . .

He didn’t go looking for trouble, yet trouble found him, figuring it was only a matter of time. Trusting his daughter to give the flash drive to the journalist Cal.Murphy when he came. He would revenge his death and do what was right and needed.
Cal. been staying close to home, knowing the World Cup in Russia would have him going. Meeting Senator Danials would be there also his son worked at the embassy in Moscow..
Hard to get into the story with all the Russian. names.
It ended with Cal being a hero, and encouraging the daughter to be like her famous journalist father.

Good storyline

I love his books. The only complaint I have is the proof reader. Lots of left out words and grammatical errors. Don’t know if it’s that or the transfer to Kindle. It seem all his books have the same issue.

No one can be trusted

Reporting on The World Cup just took a side road to crime. Arms dealing, bombs, murder are just a few of the incidents that happen behind the scenes. This is mother Russia!
