Brady Hawk has been the last line of defense between ruthless terrorists and untold bloodshed. But this time, he can’t win . . .
As hundreds of thousand of Muslims make the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, Katarina Petrov seeks to undermine the United States’ tenuous trust with the international community with a false flag. With The Chamber, Petrov’s shadow organization, struggling to maintain its control among the power brokers of the world, she engages Hawk and the Firestorm team in a dangerous game.
Firestorm operative Brady Hawk and his team are determined to bring down Katarina Petrov, the woman behind The Chamber and its “one world currency” plot to take over the world by controlling all its economies. With her ruthless scheming and the help of the President of the United States as her willing minion, she may succeed.
This book continues to deepen the relationships among the Firestorm team and also uses secondary characters from previous books. The action bounces around from Scotland to Istanbul to the U.S. And although not quite as compelling as other books in the series, it does have enough twists to keep you reading, ties up one thread and neatly sets the reader up for the next book, which will hopefully end in a final face-off between bitter enemies.
The Chamber, a secretive organization of extremely powerful people who influence world leaders, countries. There leader, Ms. Petrol. Ex KGB. Her goal, to control the world monetary system. She will resort to intimidation, blackmail or murder. Whatever it takes. Brady Hawk and his team are taking her on. They are not afraid of her. They were brought into play by the former POTUS. The new president has been duped by Petrov by intimidation and his greed. He will resort to intimidation and assassination to accomplish his goals. He has even issued a kill order on Hawk. This is an extraordinary and extremely were written novel. Full of action, intrigue, betrayal. I highly recommend!!
SEEK AND DESTROY by Jack Patterson book # 9 in Brady Hawk series Hawk and Samuels want information, and an invite into Ms Petrov bunker. She dealing with the top people and using blackmail, to get her way. Hawk and Samuels meets up with Blunt in Portugal. Mission to keep US from going along with Ms Peteov. As for Hawk there is another vendetta against him. The plot is great, tension is tight, readers will be caught up in another great story by Jack Patterson. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
Although I have enjoyed reading this series, this book was a struggle for me to get through. It was mostly due to the overwhelming amount of political aspects, as well as the unrealistic ideas that one of the criminals was demanding that all of the countries submit to. Reading about some fanatical one world order or any type of politics is not something that I'm interested in? I'm really hoping that the rest of the series isn't going to continue to be like this book. I would recommend this book, series, and author.
Undercooked characters. As a fan of the characters of Mitch Rapp and Pike Logan, this one can’t be mentioned in the same breath. Excitement is minimal, and the plan to subvert the crooked President, although noble, is cause for treason and I doubt that many govt. employees would buy into it.
I was hoping to find comparable writing here, but it was not to be.
Firestorm return, in a race to stop the one currency being approved and too finally stop Katarina Petrov. Following the decision to save Michael's last time out, he is again in charge as president and not looking to thank Hawk. As the Chamber is finally stopped, there is to be no hero's welcome home.
Great read. Well the team is working wonders but, so are Petrova and President Michaels. Chasing around the world trying to get rid of Metrics seems like a lost cause. Just as bad trying to bring down the President. Samuels gets hurt and is in acoma. Alex has been abducted and beaten but the culprit will suffer. On to my next story.
Wow this time Brady is having a hard time His battles with terrorists is really difficult this time. Can he win, he has to. Couldn’t put it down, had me gripped until the end. A definite must for everyone.
This series keeps getting more and more exciting. I just can’t stop reading this series. I have book 10 and 11 and I hope things slow down a bit because waiting for book 12 is going to be hard if this story line keeps going.
So many moving parts putting the world closer to one currency, one government! It is happening because politicians and bankers have been blackmailed into handing over the power and the money!
The basis for this big gift is fascinating and frightening. It's an interesting way to take over the world. I still enjoy the relationships between the characters.
