Wicked smile. Wicked secrets. Ready to protect her at all costs...
Tasha liked Club Crimson at first. Hot guys, sexy music, and new friends all around. But when the shock of a lifetime leads to her waking up and staring into the mysterious eyes of the club's co-owner, Lock, she might just have to revise her opinion. All she wants is to go back to her world, but Lock is insistent: if she leaves she'll be in danger, and the roguish rake might be her only hope.
Lock gave up on a normal life a long time ago. All he cares about is vengeance, and protecting those he loves. When he meets Tasha, he's only supposed to remove her memory, but after one look at her he knows he has a problem. If he lets her go, she'll be captured by predators. If he lets her stay, she'll be a danger to a heart so black he hadn't known it could beat again. And it does, but only for her.
As Tasha and Lock search for answers, they're pulled together by an attraction so intense neither can resist. But Tasha knows the enigmatic alpha still has his own agenda. and she isn't sure if she'll ever be able to get past his roguish smile to his wounded soul. Meanwhile, the forces Lock has been fighting all his life are circling, waiting to force him to make an unbearable choice.
Terry is the author of over forty bestselling shifter romances. She spends her spare time dreaming of dragons, playing with her pets, and watching sunsets from her home in the mountains alongside her husband (who she suspects would make a great bear shifter). She loves the wild outdoors, her fans, all readers, and getting lost in a great book.

Loved this story and it's characters. It was action packed and romantic with a dash of suspense. The sexy parts were great. Overall an excellent presentation and continuation of the former book. I highly recommend with kudos to the author.😊
This is a good addition to the Club Crimson shifter series, but I did have a few issues with it. It gets 3 stars from me.
Tasha was likable, but I wanted her to resist her sexual attraction to Lock a little longer -- so that she could learn more about her wolf, and get to know Lock better. Since she didn't do that, it seemed like their relationship was mostly about lust, not love.
I liked Lock, but I did wish that he didn't hate himself for his past mistakes. I wish he hadn't lied to Tasha, although I get that he was trying to protect her. I also didn't buy his quick change from thinking he was unable to love, to being madly in love with Tasha -- that just happened too fast for me to believe.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
Lock is the second book in Terry Bolryder’s new Club Crimson series.
I have been looking forward to reading Lock’s story since he was first introduced in Prince of Ice, book three of the Frozen Dragons series. There was just something mysterious about him that begged to be heard. Terry Bolryder did not disappointment. This paranormal story was filled with fantastic characters, suspense, a wonderfully unexpected love story and a happily ever after.
Lock is a mysterious alpha wolf who co-owners Club Crimson, an exclusive club. Tasha is an outgoing hairdresser who is in town visiting a friend. The two are thrown together unexpectedly when shifter politics and the human world collide. The chemistry between them is intense and explosive and both stubborn alpha personalities have a hard staying focused. Secrets surround them. Some known and some yet to be discovered, but when all is revealed will Tasha be able to forgive Lock? Or will Lock have to give up everything to ensure Tasha’s safety and happiness? Read it to find out!
This was another great book by Terry Bolryder. I am looking forward to reading Benny and Harley’s story. I really hope they get together. I am also looking forward to a story for Felix. He was a great addition to the Club Crimson series and he deserves his own HEA.
LOCK left me breathless, satisfied, and wanting more. Lock and Tasha’s story is my absolute favorite of all the Terry Bolryder titles I’ve read over the years. The story is complicated yet simple, complex yet basic, long-reaching yet solidly in this moment.
I don’t feel comfortable saying much about LOCK plot-wise for in telling you even the smallest details that could result in spoilers – and it really is best to devour this story on your own. It is a fast-paced story with danger, frenemies galore, sizzling steamy sexual chemistry and a chance to catch up with old friends once again. For this one I’m going to have to go with check out the cover description, that tells you what you need to take a chance on this story.
The one thing I will say, vaguely I hope. I’ll be watching future series for the reactions to events in LOCK. It’s going to be fascinating to watch unfold.
I had a blast, was completely caught up in and captivated by LOCK. If you love a really good Shifter Romance then you need to check out the Club Crimson series, especially Lock and Tasha’s journey.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
Tasha came to visit her friend Jackie and when Jackie is suspicious of Max's behaviour they go to investigate (see Book 1 Max) she is overcome with sleepiness and wakes up in a backroom of the club with the most stunning man she has ever seen. Lock is an alpha wolf and one of his abilities is to wipe the memory of people who see things they shouldn't in the shifter world. He can't wipe Tasha's memory when he realises not only what she is but who she is so begins a rollicking adventure to try and save family members from the tribunal. Along the way Tasha will grow into her abilities and we will learn of Locks past and how he became the way he is Will Love redeem him and the draw that Tasha feels to stay in the area is it because of Jackie or is it really Lock that she is drawn to The depth of the characters in this book was outstanding especially Lock he was such a multi dimensional driven character damaged by his past and looking for redemption. Now looking forward to Benny and Haley's story and hopefully Felix (Fifi's) story
We finally get the story of the mysterious Lock. When he is brought in to erase the memory of Jackie's friend Tasha he makes an amazing discovery. she is an alpha female wolf shifter. These alpha females are rare and Lock knows this is his chance to finally stick it to The Tribunal, he just has to convince her to be his mate. Fortunately for him he is an alpha wolf also and she will be attracted to him because of it. Now he just has to keep all the other alpha males away from her long enough to do the deed.
Tasha had no idea that she was a wolf shifter, she had no idea there was such a thing as wolf shifters. All she knew was that her brother was always sending her a special perfume and she wore it for him, even though she had never even met him. When she finds out that he works with Lock and is in big trouble, she knows she will do what ever it takes to save him and Lock. It is a good thing she has some special powers.
I can't wait for Benny's story. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
Love this series. When I first started reading books by Ms. Bolryder I read the Alpha Contender series where Lock was a part of a 10 alpha challenge to win a rare female werewolf. Lots of shenanigans going on. We get to see a few of the "contender" characters. It won't matter if you haven't read the series but those who have will love checking up on them.
Now Lock lives a life of protecting other shifters and humans. When he meets Tasha in his co-owned club, she's in trouble and the one woman he's been attracted to for years. Instead of using his alpha power and disappearing, he wants to keep her near and protected.
Powers That Be trouble, old acquaintances who have resentments and are not fully informed about Lock and his current life and finding a woman who can understand and accept him as he is. Is it possible? Will they be able to live long enough to explore a future?
The characters are strong, wonderful, and hot as heck. Ones you won't forget.
Lock is different from the others at Club Crimson, but as part owner, he kind of does his own thing. Everyone assumes that he's the player he portrays, but in reality, he's a ruthless and intelligent wolf with a mind only for revenge. Until he meets Tasha that is. Lock reveals a secret about her that she didn't know herself, which completely changes her entire world, but also ties them together in more ways than one. Fighting the unbelievable attraction between them, trying to find her brother, and attempting to stay ahead of the enemy has begun to wear on the both of them, but determination keeps them going. What will they find? Will they be able to save her brother, while also saving themselves? Will everything bring them together, or push them further apart? You're going to have to read this to find out. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
This is the second book in the Crimson Club series. I highly recommend you start reading the first book in the series Max The Crimson Club. It will give you background which carries through into this story. This story can be read as a standalone as well. This story takes place immediately after Max's story. Lock is an alpha wolf who likes to wear leather and act like a biker. He has taken Tasha into the back room office to wipe her memory upon awakening. Tasha is in town for a conference and has seen Max shift. Having no idea why she wakes up to Lock, she just wants to leave. All does not go as planned for either of them. Thus starts an exciting story that is hard to put down. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and the series so far. I can not wait for the next story to come out. So come read this story and find out what happens to Lock and Tasha.
OMG !!! This book is just totally awesome. I have read and own every one of Ms. Bolryder's books on my Kindle and I love, love, love this one. I expected to find out that Lock is not really like the persona he portrays at Club Crimson but never linked him to to any of the previous books. I was so surprised and excited when characters from way back in the Alpha Games entered figured into Lock and Tasha's story.
I love when characters from previous books come back into the picture giving you a glimpse into how their lives have progressed. It was great to see Fifi (Felix), Rowan, Thor, Lacey(Matt), Lindon and Misty again. I hope we will see more of these crossovers in the future.
If you are a fan of Ms. Bolryder, you will love this book. If you are a new comer, I recommend you go back and read the earlier works especially the Alpha Games.
I'm really enjoying this series, especially because I thought I'd have to wait even longer to find out what kind of wolf Lock really is. He seems to be a player and a little shifty, but is he really like that? What secrets is he hiding? Well, there is one woman who seems to be the key to unlocking the man. Tasha, Jackie's friend, woke up after seeing things she probably shouldn't have seen and her best friend is nowhere in sight. If you think the beginning is crazy, just wait! There is so much more - not just lurking under Lock's mysterious behavior, but Tasha also has a lot of baggage that she didn't even know she was carrying. Steamy read! I can't wait to see what the bar tending Bear is hiding! I received an advance reader's copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Tasha is knocked out with her bestie Jackie, outside of Club Crimson when they go to investigate why Max is acting strangely! Tasha wakes up to find Lock with her. She’s instantly attracted to him and his beautiful good looks...if only he had a better personality...hehe 😂 Anyway, he asks her what she saw and when she explains he realises he can’t erase her memory....because of who she is❣️
It was great to learn more about Lock and his past and I found myself immediately drawn into their world and the story😍 A not to be missed story and I can’t wait for more in this series. Thank you to Terry for my advanced copy for which I leave my honest review.
*WARNING* contains explicit adult sexual situations Lachlan, better known as Lock is such an interesting character. This book explains more of how and why he is so damaged. He can be charming and in the very next breath, be a douche-nozzle. It was interesting watching Lock slowly change throughout the story. I am super glad the sassy Tasha was paired with Lock. I like this new series quite a bit, but that Benny! I would just like to reach through the pages and shake some sense into Benny. I am hoping Felix gets a story and I'd really like to get a conclusion on the dreaded Tribunal. RECOMMENDED.
Different from the Dragons series, but still great!
Benny has got to be next. Lock is every bad boy/wolf you have ever read, but he has such a good side. It's just hidden, way deep down! And Tasha brings that out in him. This is a fast paced story with an emotional tone, a character oriented storyline with steamy scenes and vivid characters! You may want o read at least the Double Dragons and Tiger Protectors series before this series. There are many other Dragons series you can read before this as well: Awakened Dragons, Rent-a-Dragon, Date-a-Dragon, Awakened Sea Dragons, Dragon Guards of Realize is and then Nightmare Dragons. Lots to read if you haven't already! Enjoy!
Loved this story. Who knew Tasha had been hiding a wolf all these years? Right her brother that she never really met but had seen many times. Loved how Tasha's wolf was brought out. Loved how Tasha became the heroine. So much information came out in this book which was nice to know. Still need more information on Benny and Fifi. Love that nickname Fifi. Only should be a poodle not a wolf. Lol I enjoyed reading this book very much and hope to read about Benny and Fifi soon.
Oh my, my, my I knew Lock story would be epic, but wow that was a lot. Finding out that Jackie's friend Tasha was indeed a shifter surprising oh yea it was. But Lock out all his differences aside and accept what faith brought to him. And Tasha finally getting to meet her brother Dave to face, and not little sightings every now and then while she was growing up..oh la la I loved it..Now who will be next will it be For I or Benny, so will take either one please...☺ big fan as always Winzie19💞☺.
Kindle unlimited purchase By Terry Bolryder Tasha wakes up to a hold new world, one she never knew existed. One thing I like about her character she didn't whine about finding out that her life was a lie, that the truth was kept from her. Lock is an alpha wolf that is on a mission to end the Tribunal, anyway, he can. This book was great. You got to see characters from "other" book sets that are spider-webbed in to the book. So I would take a look at the book set that TB published.
Lock has always been perceived as a player and bad boy. Tasha has always longed to meet her only family. Both are drawn together, but he has secrets. Can Tasha accept Lock's past? Will Lock realize that he is worth it?
Loved the fine line between love and hate! I loved how while on the outside Lock was this tough, bad boy, but really he was a good guy, his past just didn't let him recognize it. I didn't blame Tasha for being scared of her life changing, but loved how once she opened herself to it, she took everything by storm. Great read!

I’ve really enjoyed some of this author’s books in the past. I just feel like the last couple series have been poorly written. The stories have zero depth. Any attempt at making a good storyline is met with poor vocabulary and juvenile sentence structure. Plot development is very weak. Terry Bolryder used to be one of my one-clicks when new books came out. Now, I’m just hoping the writing improves. I don’t want to give up but I’m tired of rolling my eyes every time I read one of her latest books. :-(
Lachlan or like he wants people to know him as lock has done bad things in his past and has had bad things done to him by the people he thought loved him. When Felix aka Fifi lays a cute blonde and Jackie's best friend Tasha unconscious on a table Lock knows something is different about her and wants to get to the bottom of it. When Tasha wakes up and noticed gorgeous Amber eyes she's intrigued, but what comes out of his mouth is obnoxious. Can she believe what he is saying? Can she fall for this sexy hunk who is obnoxious when he speaks? Great read.
Terry Bolryder is on fire with this last two series! Lock is the second book of the Club Crimson and is one not to miss. Fantastic plot, fast paced, packed with action, adventure, intrigue and red hot romance. I didn't like Lock since we were introduced to him in the previous series but I loved the journey Terry Bolryder took us to get to really know him and literally watching change to better himself for his mate. So much emotions and depth to this book. Highly recommended
Had potential for a five star, but it left me wanting more. Read 1st book in series, which I loved. Thought Lock and his mate would be more powerful and amazing. Besides the relationship development issues I found some things hard to believe. The tribunal business, come on the dragon “police” would have revolted or turned on them. Other is the Mate. What happened to her mother, supposedly Fifi sacrificed his freedom to let his Mother and Sister live free. And many more little “no way” moments and bits.
Good second book in the series, Lock is a sexy hot Alpha wolf with a secret side that is always focused on trying to bring down the evil tribunal that governs the wolf world. Tasha is Jackie's(Max's mate) best friend and through a fluke witnessed men changing into animals. Lock is attracted to her and discovers she is a female alpha wolf who had her powers and wolf hidden from her by her brother Felix. Lock and Tasha go on a voyage of discovery about themselves and find love on their journey. A good story with strong characters and sweet romance.
This is a wonderful addition to the Club Crimson Series. Lock (Lachlan) is an Alpha Wolf and is on a mission to bring down The Tribunal. Tasha and Lock are wonderful together but have some serious issues going on in this interesting storyline. Tasha is unaware of her heritage, but Lock senses it. They need each other to fight The Tribunal. It was exciting reading about Tasha coming into her powers. This is an exciting, interesting and well-developed story and I enjoyed.
Another sexy, experience read from this new author. This is one romance that keeps me from going back for more. This fantastic world is exactly what we need to relax and get lost. And thankfully this has everything one’s need. I truly got lost on how this storyline kept me engaged. The sex, banter, suspense. Love is in the air and the characters shows it so well. I most certainly recommend this hot, sexy book.
It's all on me. I'm just not a shifter fan, unless it's dragons I guess. It was a good story, but like the last one, while it is billed as a standalone I'm left with the feeling of missing a great deal of backstory because I haven't read any of the non-dragon books. Lock is, IMO because I don't know the backstory, needlessly secretive with Tasha. Many guys hit on her because she is an alpha. Tasha really wants to meet her brother. It didn't really draw me in as a story. I suppose if I had read the non-dragon books I might have found it more compelling.
Excellently written. Amazing characters. As I read I had a few chuckles and even shed a few tears. There is some sexual content that in no way distracts from the story. I'm fact, during this time I chuckled a bit. Sure there weren't rabbits? Lol. Seriously, I kinda wanted to hurry and finish this story. Not because of anything bad, just the opposite. It's so good and leading into the next story of the series. I'm loving it. It deserves more than five stars, maybe ten.
What can I say on this book other than Dam!!! Lock with his cockiness and good looking. However he keep people at arm length. Women falls for us him every time, however with Tasha he found a very strange and fiesta alpha wolf. At time you want to just slap him upside his head. You have read it to understand Lock strange behavior. Tasha discover of who she really is. This is a great book for book club. I’m interested in Benny and Harley story!!!
I adore Lock! I knew he wasn't the bad boy he had everyone believing he was. He is really pretty awesome. There was a bit more substance to this story than many of the others by this author. Kept me glued to my reader. Good thing I went to bed early so I still have time for a decent night's sleep. This is a bit longer than I like for a bedtime story. I look forward to pleasant dreams.
Lock was a co-owner of a night club. He was the person most went to if was a problem with humans discovering the shifter world. Meeting a beautiful, passed out Tasha. He sniffs the air, only to discover a faint scent if a wolf! How can this be? Why suppress your wolf? Be can't erase her memory. He needs to unlock her mystery. He's attracted to her.
