Assuming the worst about one another, two flawed characters find happiness together!
Retribution: Nomad Biker Romance was gritty but an excitingly, smexy read! Feisty, Dakota Krueger's old Dodge Explorer broke down in Phillipsburg when a handsome but questionable tattooed biker tried to help her by offering her a ride. But out of nowhere two supposedly preppy college guys drove up and acted like her friends and she immediately decided that they were safer than the biker thus landing her in a world of trouble! At a bar in town, she's drugged w/ GHB and the questionable biker saved her but not without beating one of the guys that planned to hurt her.
I really enjoyed reading Cobra and Dakota's story. What started with two flawed people not trusting each other, ended with Cobra protecting and going all-out possessive when it came to the sassy and talkative Dakota. Dakota really had gone through a lot for her twenty years but then too so had 30 year old Cobra,the nomadic member of the Steel Devil MC who had done three years in prison for being a member of a known 1 percenter MC. Throughout the story, Cobra just wanted to make sure that Dakota was safe after her car died not forgetting her ordeal at Duffy's bar so he put her under his protector yet all the while wanting to get to know the sassy talkative hellcat. Being a very observant man, Cobra could tell that Dakota was running from something but hiding in plain sight. As they got to know one another better, their attraction grew while the hero continued to find out information of the drug given to Dakota by staying in contact with his MC !
So if you love the growly but protective biker with the strong but sassy heroine and badass secondary MC members going after drug dealer, etc who sold drugs on their turf then you will enjoy reading about a deadly enforcer who acted as the angel of retribution when it came to protecting his darlin' Dakota!

Let's start off by saying that we are really enjoying this series as well as this ongoing series. We really enjoyed this current story it was heartfelt and suspenseful and had a cast of amazing characters and two people who were drifting through life and found love in the arms of their perfect mate.
We always pick a favorite character and mine this time around would be Cobra he was my favorite he was really a bit of a knight and shining armor. Cobra was full of kindness and compassion and understanding a far cry from what his reputation states but, in this story, a little slip of a girl managed to get beneath his Armour and experience a whole different side of him that he does not let others see. We loved the possessive and protective bada** biker who screamed danger most of the time and who is surrounded by a dark aura could be capable of such tender feelings "just melted my heart."
Dakota was a little firecracker who for someone so young had some really tough breaks but, she was a survivor who rose above it all and it just made her stronger. We loved the little fierce and independent woman who had a bit of a temper from the onset of the story as she was just one of those characters easy to love and one that was so brave.
Overall we loved the story from cover to cover it was steamy and had hot sexy scenes and was filled with suspense and club drama and also had a really lovely love story where two people who through friendship and trust fell in love when neither was looking."The perfect mix of the things we love in a story."
This goes into the keeper pile to be read time and time again.

I think this is the best biker romance I have read in months. I hovered between 4.5 but went with the full 5 stars. Cobra went Nomad after he got out of prison and decided he wanted a different kind of life than the violence he lived each day as a regular club member. He had a dysfunctional childhood and didn't believe in love. He had many women in his life but he hit the road when "love" came into the picture. He's one of those really nice guys that likes to help people. Dakota is on the run from an abusive/stalker ex-boyfriend and meets Cobra when her car breaks down. Cobra rescues her from many situations and gives her a place to stay. This one isn't insta-love. In fact it's a slow burn. Great writing, great characters and a story that grabbed me and pulled me in. This is the best book I've read by this author. It can be read as a standalone.

He has hookups but is not interested in long term. Dakota has led a hard life. She is not looking for a man. When she crashes into one, she knows she is in trouble. He is dangerous and she knows it. Can she keep away or is the pull just too much? Can a man as hard as him really heal her demons?
I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I recommend this book.

There's a reason Cobra is a nomad. He still has connections to the MC and his brothers. He just doesn't want to stay in one place anymore. That connection presents itself when he spots a girl who rejected a ride from him after her car broke down. Seeing her again in a jam with the clean-cut guys who did give her a ride, he steps in to save the day and the girl.
Dakota had to leave. She couldn't deal anymore. Wouldn't you know her beater would breakdown twenty miles from anywhere. She didn't trust guys with good reason. Despite her caution, she was in trouble and woke up in a cheap hotel room with the biker she'd rejected the ride from earlier. As her mind cleared she realized that old saying about a book and cover were true.
While Cobra was gorgeous and hot as sin, she didn't trust him. Could he prove he was trustworthy. He may have done a lot of things as a member of the club but force a woman wasn't and would never be one of them.
He didn't do relationships and why he had gone this far without bailing was a mystery. He had business with his club. Business that could bring a lot of trouble.
Watching Cobra and Dakota learn to trust and love was a great read. The bad guys were nasty pieces would they keep the couple apart? The story was hot, emotional, and one I put on my re-read list. Don't miss this one. It has plenty of steam, club loyalty, and unforgettable characters.

Cobra has his own reasons for becoming a Nomad, and when he finds Dakota broken down at the side of a deserted road, he just wants to protect her. Dakota has a heartbreaking past, and when the past comes closer, she moves to another town. No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! This is a well written story which is intense, raw, gritty, steamy, and with relatable characters who have explosive chemistry between them. I was hooked and intrigued throughout, and cannot wait to read more from this talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all MC lovers!

I loved Cobra and Dakota’s story, I was dragged into their hot tale and rooting for a HEA from the word go.
Dakota was a strong, independent young woman, running from her past and Cobra was an MC member who liked to live his life as an nomad but finds himself helping beautiful Dakota and more.
If you love MC reads this tale is definitely a must read. Terrific characters and plenty of steamy chemistry, I loved it!

This girl was ready for a hot biker story and who better to deliver it than Chiah Wilder and her Nomad Biker series. I felt for Dakota and what happened to her I her past - constantly running to keep her past in the past. Yet when she met Cobra (love that name), there was no way she could resist him. When things heated up, between the sheets and in their lives, Cobra was definitely a man of action.

Another great book from Chiah Wilder... Second book in her new spin-off series... Nomads... A great sexy hot story of two broken people who come together and make each other whole. Go for a ride with them through and the both big and little things that try to keep them apart and see how each thing brings them together instead. You don't need to read book one to enjoy this one but go ahead and grab it also.

Cobra and Dakota - What a couple to have starring in an MC book like no other – this story had everything you would expect from a Chiah Wilder book and a little extra.
Not to give to much away; Cobra used to be the Enforcer for the Steel Devils MC before he went Nomad he has tough exterior which has been a barrier to keeping other people from seeing the goodness that is inside him! Bring in Dakota (Tattoo Artist – who for years kept away from men after flashbacks meant she couldn’t bear any contact with men. I won’t give away why as it’s not exactly what you think).
Dakota is now looking to start over somewhere new Cobra as a Nomad has no home so are not two people who should have hit it of as both are looking for different things - but as they get to know each other while sharing a motel room (not going to spoil as to why they are sharing a room) you get to understand why they are so right for each other.
The chemistry is of the charts, but it doesn’t take anything away from a very good story line - I didn’t even know you could buy a two-thousand-dollar vacuum, but Cobra can do something with his tongue even better than one of those – sign me up!
Just when all that hotness gets hotter – BAM – Dakota is kidnapped by the men Cobra and the MC he used to run with after they blow apart a drugs operation. The race is on to get Dakota back and live the life they want!
This is a slow burn book, a great story line to go with some out of this world love scenes that truly do sizzle; seriously you could burn yourself so why not step into the fire!

I'm such a huge fan of Chiah Walker she has written some of my favorite reads and Retribution would be one of them .This would be book two in the Nomad Biker series and can be read as a standalone I'd recommend that you do get your hands on books one and other stories by the author because she is such a good story teller . I really enjoyed the chemistry between the hero and heroine the back and forth between them had me wanting to see what would happen next and I was so excited how some things played out between them . Not only will you fall for the main couple there are some secondary characters that I hope to see more of in the future . Loved how Dakota wasn't a weak heroine she really stood her ground and Cobra he was a yummy hero those two were super intense . I can't wait to read more by Chiah she is also one of my favorite re read authors so if she is new to you you definitely need to check her out .

Retribution is an exciting nomad novel as a spin-off from Wilder's Steel Devil's MC series and it was delicious!
Dakota's life is breaking down, just like her car. She's desperately trying to start over as far away from her past, and the creepy guy in it, as possible. Unfortunately for her, she's a magnet for trouble. Stranded beside her broken down car, in the middle of nowhere, she's at a crossroads. When a sexy but scary biker offers to help, she can't decide what to do; does she take a chance on him or simply take her chances with everything else?
Cobra loves the nomad life and he's got plenty of reason too. After a pretty serious wake up call, he walked away from his life as the enforcer for the Steel Devils and lives life on his own terms. He misses the brotherhood but he can pop in when he likes and pop right back put again. Never one to be tied down, he's not even sure he believes love exists for a guy like him. But there's something about the pretty damsel in distress he found out on the highway. Even with her prickly nature and mistrustful eyes, he's drawn to her. His plan is to help her out and then put her behind him. But as time wears on, he realizes this is one time he might not be able to walk away.
Fantastic book where two wounded souls find each other. Growly, alpha biker with a fierce protective streak and an even bigger heart and a kick ass, funny girl intent on making her own way. Loved everything about this book!

Retribution by Chiah Wilder is a part of the author’s new Nomad Biker series. In this book we are following the ex-enforcer for the Steel Devils, Cobra. He has made a change to his life after certain events and has gone nomad. This means he is still affiliated with the Steel Devils and can be called upon to help out but he does not keep a permanent place with any chapter in the club. Cobra likes the isolation of the nomad life, he can come and go as he pleases, not roots, no ties, life on the open road to keep his head clear.
He crosses path with Dakota when her car finally decides to crap out on her and offers to give her a ride into town. Being a huge, intimidating figure Dakota is instantly wary and when an alternative ride makes it appearance she decides to accept that offer instead. That was a Big Mistake!!
You should never judge a book by its cover, which Dakota learns in the not too distant future, when Cobra must come to her rescue. Forced together by fate, a deep connection neither can explain burns between them. The chemistry is off the charts HOTT!! There are some hair and scary moments that will make you clench. Be prepared for the wind to be knocked out of you in this fast paced ever changing dynamic story filled with intense sexual attraction and the essential drama that comes from living the outlaw MC lifestyle.

4 Star Well Rounded Read.
Retribution is book two in the Nomads Romance by Chiah Wilder. I have followed her for quite some time. She can write an excellent biker romance. This is no different. The writng was great and she spun a great tell. I found myself falling off the precipice, then being reeled back in. The story had everything in it. Just enough drama and suspense, with humor and strong female lead.
Dakota is smart, young and a talented tattoo artist. She is trying to make a fresh start. She comes from a good close-knit family. That has a tragic past. She is emotional with good reason.
Cobra, oh how I loved him. He was such a great guy. He was the enforcer in his former MC. He was compassionate, hard, steely, and then passionate when it came to Dakota. He still loves the brotherhood even though he is a nomad. They will always come first he says it and he means it.
These two have such great chemistry. They meet when he stops becaue her car fails on the road. Then again at a local bar. He truly is her knight in shining armor. Dakota presence sets off a chain of events that can have dire consequences. The problem between them is Dakota wants to stay rooted but Cobra loves to pick up and go.
I loved everything. The people, the story all of it. I was invested in it. I was pulled in and didn't let go until it was over. There is so much to this story than what I told you You just have to read it.

I'm a huge fan of the MC genre, because I LOVE the Club atmosphere, but Chiah Wilder definitely has an original series with the Nomad Biker Romance series, and I'm fully invested in it! Cobra used to be the Enforcer in the Steel Devils MC, and his ruthlessness was a given, but after spending some time in prison, he opted to leave the life behind for the open road as a Nomad, though he still visited his brothers from time to time. Dakota's life is a mess, and she decides to leave to start over somewhere else, when her car breaks down on some back roads, when Cobra comes upon her. He offers her a ride, but she opts for some clean cuts boys, and it takes her down a dangerous path, where Cobra has to rescue her. See, her past demons have taught her that men can't be trusted, that they always want something in return, but the more time she spends with Cobra, she slowly learns that not all men aren't like that. It doesn't hurt that they have some amazing chemistry that finally won't be denied, so they light the motel sheets on fire. However, that danger is still after her, which provides some big, f-bomb worthy twists that amp up some action. Now, Cobra's ruthlessness comes back with a vengeance, with his MC brothers at his back. But can he keep Dakota safe? You'll have to one click this exciting story to find out! Looks may be deceiving. When Dakota gets stranded on the open road with no one is sight to help, she starts walking the twenty miles to town. On her way a rugged rough biker pulls up asking if she wants a ride. Red flags go up and as she is thinking of running a car with two male college looking guys pull up. She plays it off and goes with them. BIG MISTAKE! She ends up getting in the car and taken to a bar. All the while thinking of a way to get away from these two guys. She is offered a drink at said bar but declines while still having those red flags going off. So she goes back up to the bar and gets another but to no avail she’s drugged. And without her knowledge her savior is non other than the biker from the road. What will happen, well Cobra beats the crap out of one of the guys who drugged Dakota and he whisked her off to a motel to sleep it off. How will the story play out... Well Dakota is running from her past and so is Cobra. Will the age difference be an issue for them or the past keep them apart. How will this effect the standing with Cobra in the club because someone is dealing in the wrong territory. What’s to become of these two? This is a fast paced well written MC romance. The characters are rough, tough yet endearing. The storyline and the characters will take you one a wild and emotional ride.
Cobra is a hard hitting, no sugar coating force to be reckoned with and the former enforcer for the Steel Devils MC. After a stint in prison he’s now a nomad under the Steel Devils. Cobra is a hard man that doesn’t believe in long term relationships or being tied down. He’d rather travel the roads on his bike and live a free lifestyle.
Having gone through a traumatic experience, Dakota took off from her hometown as soon as she could get away. She is now a tattoo artist. But when her past catches up to her, she takes off again, only to find herself in another bout of trouble. Lucky for her Cobra is there to help. Being a type of white knight, he can’t stand to see a woman being hurt. But Dakota doesn’t trust people and she surely doesn’t trust this huge, sexy tough biker. But as troubles follow she has a decision to make: is Cobra the only one that can help her?

Cobra an ex-enforcer for the Steel Devils MC and now a nomad meets Dakota Krueger in an unfortunate situation and things get sticky for her after she makes a massive mistake.
Although there are some extremely serious topics explored in this book and they are explored well, there is a light humour that takes you by surprise and really makes you laugh out loud. One example is the consultation with Tawny, a customer who wanted a very unusual tattoo, this took me completely unawares.
The chemistry between the lead characters Dakota and Cobra is intense and red hot! However they are much more than physically attracted to each other, they develop a deep respect and care for each other and bring the best out in each other.
Some excellent descriptions help to make it easy to visualise each scene, even the more graphic ones, in this fast-paced, easy-to-read story. Great characters add to its charm as well. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to more from this author...

Chiah had my attention from the very beginning. I can't resist a book about two people who have flaws and are untrusting coming together and something great coming from it all. This book gave me the feels and I couldn't put it down. I had to see if they would open up to each other, learn to trust and to love one another or if it was destined to be a short lived thing.
Dakota hasn't had an easy life. The last thing she wants, needs or is looking for is a man. She just wants to start over her life far from where she came from. She is running from her past and it has left her with some major trust issues. Cobra wants nothing but the open road. He doesn't want a woman for more than a good time. When he sees Dakota in trouble he can't help but to help her never expecting everything that would come along with it. There are threats arising and he is determined to not move on until everything is sorted.
Another must read by Chiah Wilder. I can't get enough of her books and they are addicting let me tell you. You will be completely engrossed into this story from the beginning.

I found this fast paced, easy to read story entertaining and delightful. Some excellent descriptions help to make it easy to visualise each scene, even the more graphic ones of which there are only a few. Great characters add to its charm as well.

Chiah Wilder has delivered yet another hot AF Biker for us to fall in love with in the shape of Cobra.
Cobra used to be the Enforcer for the Steel Devils MC before he decided to go Nomad. Whilst on the road heading back towards the Steel Devils he meets Dakota on the side of the road. Soon as he meets her she sparks this protective instinct in him.
Even thought their romance is a slow burn, with their friendship building up first, the sexual chemistry between them is palpable until they finally give into their attraction.
Of course in true MC fashion there are some dangers lurking that Cobra needs his brothers to help him with but you will be kept on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens.
Can't wait to see what Chiah brings us next in this series.

Retribution was no different I was hooked from the beginning right till the end, it is a definite page turner with a great storyline and fantastic characters!!
Cobra and Dakota are off the charts HOT, the chemistry between these two is absolutely insane!! If you like MC books then this a must read book!! It's full of love, lust,suspense, chemistry, breaking down walls and dealing with the demons of your past to start a brand new future!! This a definite five star read and I can't wait for her next book!!

A great read!
I really enjoyed this story! Although Cobra isn't a full time member of the Steel Devil's MC anymore, it will always be his home where his brothers are ready and willing to do whatever it takes to have one another's backs. When Cobra rescues a hitchhiker from a terrible fate, he never expects for her to be the one who will change everything about how he lives his solitary life. This was a fantastic story that you won't want to miss!
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and terrific author.

This was a fast paced read that had me turning pages at a rapid speed.
Chiah Wilder definitely has a hit with this book. It had it all love, drama, chemistry, and undeniable passion. The connection between Cobra and Dakota was off the charts steamy.

Some will read this book and think that Cobra saved Dakota but, I think Dakota saved Cobra as well.
