Luck's Hollow #1-4

The Spell of Us

Rate this book
I'm getting lucky in Luck's Hollow... five times over!

My luck in my hometown of Love's Hollow, New York, ran out when I walked in on my sister and my fiancé together right before what was supposed to be my wedding. As witches, we're supposed to use our powers for good, not evil, but she's clearly the bad witch of the family.

I fled them both, and decided to take my planned honeymoon by myself, in Luck's Hollow, Ireland, where my distant relatives are from. Like Love's Hollow, it's a secluded, safe, woodsy place for non-human fairy creatures. I soon find out that the brothers who own Hennessy House Bed & Breakfast, where I'm staying, are big, strong elves who are super hot... and they all seem to have the hots for me!

I can't decide which one I should be with, and at first that's not a problem because I soon become too busy making spells to ward off the evil powers I encounter from my Irish relatives, the O'Donnells. (It seems I found out where my sister's bad witch genes came from). But then, the elf brothers are able to help me... and flirt with me, and tell me they want to share me and take me all at the same time.

I start to realize I might not have to choose between them. With so many options available to take away the bad memories from back home, what's a witch to do here in Luck's Hollow but give in to all the elves at once?

Is it just a fling, or can the handsome elves not only make me feel good but also help me work my magic, solve my family problems and find a very Irish happy ever after?

The Spell of Us is a collection of four full-length steamy urban fantasy reverse harem paranormal romance novels about female witches falling for multiple male elves who all want to please one lucky lady at once- there's no m/m action. Each book is standalone but connected by the same characters and worlds, so they're best read all together in this one series box set! The stories are complete and contain no cliffhangers or cheating. They do contain happy ever afters and a lot of heat and are for mature readers only.

The books contained in this collection are:

1): The Spell of Three
2): The Spell of Four
3): The Spell of Five
4): The Spell of Six

This one started off great. There is a story, there is drama, there is hint at romance to come. Then suddenly there is nothing but banter and talking at each other which eventually starts to drag :( Move on~
Then the romance goes from 0 to 100 in a snap. I had whiplash! Like okay tons of smut here, whatever, but I don't know why they like her or vice versa, especially since all she talks about with them is her ex. Seriously even in the middle of sex she mentions Derek. I'm like what?!

I just... I'm sure I could have pushed on, but I stopped caring :/

The Spell Of Us by Casey Morgan
The Spell Of Three by Casey Morgan
Two days before Shanna's wedding on Thanksgiving day, she finds out her little sister, Nora and her fiance were seeing each other. Shanna's parents are supporting Nora. Shanna decides to go on the honeymoon by herself to Lucks Hollow in Ireland. This place is full of elves, sprites, werewolves, leprechauns, and witches. Shanna is a witch. I found this story is full of all kinds of strange things and I for one loved the book. This story keeps my interest from the beginning until the end. Casey Morgan has a great imagination and knows how to write. I highly recommend this book as a five-star rating.
The Spell of Four by Casey Morgan
Mila is in Ireland after her mother passed away she went to find out more about her family. When she is there she met Aiden, Killian, and Donovan, all elves. She had sparks with all three when they touched. This is a very sexy book about one woman and 3 men. so if you like steamy sex this is the book for you.
The Spell Of Five by Casey Morgan
Keira is an American witch with relatives in Ireland that she wants to go visit. She meets four handsome elves, Tavish, Seth, Conner, and Ronan. They all want to date Keira but she is having a hard time choosing. This is a very hot steamy story. I enjoyed reading Casey Morgans book and this one doesn't disappoint. It is a page-turner and hard to put down. It is full of twist and turns. I highly recommend this story and hope you enjoy this book as much as me.
The Spell Of Six by Casey Morgan
Gwendolyn owns The Lucky Spell Pot in Loves Hollow where she meets five men all handsome and wants her. She is in need of money to pay her bills and the only way she can find to get the money is to auction herself off. The five men are Alex is a goofball, Travis is the bad boy, David is serious type, Robert is smart, and Eric is calm, cool, and collected. There is a lot of twists and turns on this story. It keeps your interest until the end. This is the fourth book and just as good as the first one. If you enjoy witches, werewolves, and elves you will love this book. I received an advanced reader copy and have voluntarily chosen to leave a review. This is my honest opinion.

DNF - quit at 18% (didn’t even finish book 1)
I don't know what happened, but by the 18% point, I was bored. It started off decent, enough to hold my attention, but things fell apart. This did move real slowly, which didn't help my attention span. I didn't really like the story in general, it seemed to be roughly thrown together to me. The characters were likable for the most part, but the argumentative humor between the Elf family was off-putting.

At my age, life is to short & my time to important to force myself to read a book I'm not enjoying, especially when there are so many other books out there waiting to be read.

I was reading this for a bookclub and I just can't.
This is SO bad. It started out really good. The story was promising and I really wanted to like this or at least be ok with it, but I just can't.
First of all: Why was everything so American in this Irish setting? Why would Shanna or even her ex-fiance, want to visit a family they don't know, just because some time ago a distant relative of theirs immigrated to the US? Why would this family want to meet them? I would be really weirded out if some couple from the US would want to visit me and my family, because some hundred years ago a very distant relative moved to the US.
But it gets only worse after this. The only thing these 3 are talking about is Shannas ex-fiance and her sister, even while lying in bed together. Wow, how is that not an instant mood-killer?
And the spicy scenes are written so bad. I cringed the entire time, it was just really really bad.
So now I can't really participate in the book club, but I will not read this book any further, for any amount of money.

It could have been better

I liked the characters, and the sex is good. The story is okay. It should be, as it looks like the author used the same outline for all of the books.

The writing is a cut below good. The editors/beta-readers, if any, should be replaced. The punctuation is spotty, and extra words and wrong ones are used.

The last book is the worst, taking it down a star. It was adapted from a four man RH, I think. And adapted badly. The character of Robert was spliced in, but not in enough places to really be in the book. The number of men is misstated many times.

It saddens me when a good idea is given a bad execution.

I am polyamourous. This is never how I found my partners. So, it is defintely fantasy leaving the supernatural element out entirely. This world and series has a respectible mostly predictable plotline.

DNF. I'm not a fan of menage with siblings but I was willing to look past it. There were so many issues with this and I barely made it to the first spicy scene. That's where the issues culminated and I realized this book just was not for me.

Great series

I really enjoyed this series. Really nice storylines and not sexy men with brave ladies they love. These four stories were great.

A cute couple of stories.

The first couple of stories were cute. But after that they each just added an extra guy to he mix. It got repetitive and boring.
