Since early childhood, he has had an interest in the UFO phenomenon, and in particular Norway's world-renowned UFO hotspot 'Hessdalen' which is a two hour drive from his home. He has published one book on the subject (Hessdalen Lights, 2019), and is currently preparing a sequel.
