Nils Ofstad lives outside Trondheim, Norway, together with two kids, and one wife. He is a senior lecturer and has begun a doctorate which he does not seem to complete, ironically, since the field of study is motivational psychology.

'Squared Away' has since August 2007 become one of Norway's most printed single panel cartoons with a permanent place in the success magazine Pondus and in a thirty-number Norwegian newspapers. The panel is packed with madness, absurdities and more or less sick ideas.

Since early childhood, he has had an interest in the UFO phenomenon, and in particular Norway's world-renowned UFO hotspot 'Hessdalen' which is a two hour drive from his home. He has published one book on the subject (Hessdalen Lights, 2019), and is currently preparing a sequel.
