I love all of Charlene's books and this one is romantic, sweet, and super fun with fake engagement and amnesia tropes. There’s also some enemies to lovers action between the hero, Risk, and heroine, April, which adds some great sexual tension that had me quickly turning the pages. Loved it all!

This is a great book about April and Risk. April has a chance to win the heart of a wealthy and handsome rancher she had been with years ago and never got over. I loved it!

‘Stranded and Seduced‘ is the second title in the ‘Boone Brothers of Texas‘ series. And one sizzling with chemistry, and flowing with charm romance as well. I’ve been spending some time lately getting caught up on series or trilogies that I started but life got in the way of finishing at the time. I’ll admit to being just a bit in love with each Boone brother and by this story’s ending, you will definitely have a soft spot in your heart for Risk…. after you want to smack him upside the head for his stubbornness and then sit him down for a stern talking to about reality checks. But I get ahead of myself.

April and Risk are certainly no strangers to each other outside of living in the same small Texas town. They’d had one amazing night right up until Risk messed it up leaving without a word letting April believe the worst of him and herself. Years have passed, life moves on and now Risk is back in Boone Springs working with his brothers, looking into perhaps opening up a lodge. It just so happens that April’s real estate agency has the perfect property, if she can convince Risk to see beyond the work needed and envision what it could be.

Now, April’s friends know how badly she was hurt by Risk’s actions years ago, and how with very little encouragement she could fall under his spell once again. So. They propose she wears a friend’s grandmother’s engagement ring – as protection of sorts, and a reminder to not fall for this man again. The only trouble is… it worked a bit too well. When Risk is injured while inspecting the lodge during a strong storm he wakes up with little memory and seeing the woman who is taking care of him and the engagement ring on her finger… well, assumptions were made, and allowed to stand, for now. It’s when memory returns that things get complicated with anger, accusations, and a famous ex-girlfriend making a play.

I was so caught up in ‘Stranded and Seduced‘ that I didn’t really notice time passing only to look up at the ending and see that night had fallen. So, yeah, you could say I completely enjoyed myself with Risk and April’s romance. There is anger and hope, tears and laughter, family and foes to be found in this story. I loved Aunt Lottie, and her own romantic situation just added to the enjoyment. I had a blast and I’m betting that you will as well as you watch two people who really do belong together work that out between frustration and sizzling attraction. If you love a really good romance that will keep you flipping pages, believable characters, and a secondary cast that brings the book to life then you’ll want to check out ‘Stranded and Seduced’… like right now.

I own a Kindle edition of this title.

What started out as a little white lie gets blown out of proportion when it becomes a tabloid sensation.

April Adams had a crush on former rodeo star, River “Risk” Boone, when she was in high school, but never acted on it. Two years ago, they hooked up after a rodeo, but the next morning Risk was gone. April’s dream of them being together was shattered. Now, Risk is back in Boone Springs, working with his siblings and looking for a new venture. They wanted to open a lodge and Risk knew the perfect one, Canyon Lake Lodge. April’s real estate agency needed the money, and the commission from selling Canyon Lake Lodge would really help her out. But that meant working with Boone. So, April wears her friend’s engagement ring to avoid any temptation between her and Risk. Then, they get stranded together during a storm at the lodge. The engagement lie quickly spirals out of control until they realize they really do make the perfect couple.

I’m always intrigued by a fake fiancé story. I feel it’s a hard one for an author to write because if there is one little thing done wrong, the entire story can feel fake. But this one really had my attention. I could feel the emotions coming through the words and the characters become some that I wanted for my friends in real life. Well, except for Risk’s ex. I wouldn’t want to be around her for long. I would definitely recommend this book to my romance readers.

STRANDED AND SEDUCED is book two in the Boon Brothers of Texas series by Charlene Sands, and centers around a former rodeo champ turned rancher and a realtor in a tempting reunion story.

Risk has a self-assured personality that is quick to catch a reader's eye, and his story of amnesia gave a little hint of mystery as we wondered how it would all play out.

April had a bit of an unrequited crush on him back in their school days, then a bit of history with him a couple of years ago but at this point she's only out to resist him ... if only she could.

I recommend this story to anyone who enjoys a delightful fast paced story with a hint of unknown, a fake engagement and even a spell of amnesia! I'm enjoying this series a lot and looking forward to more to come.

This was a fun read with a different take on the normal romance recipe. After River "Risk" Boone takes a solid hit to the head and loses his memories he wakes up thinking the curvaceous April is his fiancee. The high jinks that ensue after that are a really fun plot that brings in family and even a slightly delusional superstar actress ex-girlfriend, Shannon Wilks into the story while they fake their engagement. But will it be fake by the end of the 10 days to Founder's Day? You will have to find out for yourself.

Highly recommend this book because it is just so easy to get lost in the story. Definitely some great junk food for the brain. Sometimes you need that with a daunting graduate program.

Happy reading!

Stranded and Seduced
(Boone Brothers of Texas Book 2)

A story of attraction that led to hurt feelings and years later resurfaces at a time April needs to make a sale to keep her real estate business in the black. When Risk comes to look at the lodge, old feelings resurface and leads them to create a “oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.”
A story of overcoming distrust and the need to build new trust leads you to a story of twists and turns, emotional ups-and-downs that keeps you reading to the end.
A delightful read of two great characters you hope will have their happy ever after.
