Have you just read something heartbreaking in The Fallocaust Series? Did that evil author Quil rip your heart out and now you’re curled up in the fetal position eating Cheetos and plotting his death? Never fear! Fallocaust Short Nothing Bad Happens I Promise, is here to save you. This book contains a collection of short stories that are cute and funny (also a bit kinky at times), guaranteed to make you happy and feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The only tears that will be shed are ones of happiness, unless you drop your e-reader on your face but that’s not Quil’s fault, it’s yours – be more careful. Some of the stories detail previously talked about like Reaver torturing Bridley, Leo and Greyson meeting for the first time, and how Luca got his cat ears; others are complete madness like ‘Backwards Land’ which takes place in a world where Killian is the greywaster living in Aras, and Reaver is the Skyfall boy whose parents are seeking the safety of the block. These short stories star all of your favourite characters doing all of your favourite things, and all that is missing is you.
Quil Carter has been writing stories since he learned how to write. Now that people seem to like his stories, this is pretty much what he is planning on doing with his life.
If you set aside Fucking Torture (because i didn't want to read any rape scenes, i was not prepared) i loved it! Most importantly MY SHIP IS SAILING. SANGY AND ELISH! I KNEW IT! So now that that is out of the way (SANGY AND ELISH 4EVA , lol ok i love them for some reason) let's get into the stories.
Blood Brothers: LOVED this one. Baby Reaver is creepy but cute. And Reno was adorbs and i love the ending lol Also, seeing Leo and Greyson again feels great.
Obsessive Chimera Disorder: Loved this one too. TBH my memory sucks so i don't remember Joaquin. I think i remember that he was mentioned as a baby? No idea, i should re-read and take notes. He's a very interesting chimera and i'd love to read more about him.
It's A Twin Thing(You Wouldn't Understand): Mixed feelings here. Those two are like creepy pervy 8year olds. I don't know why i like them lol that can be said for most of them. Well anyway they are great for one another at least.
Learning Lycos: Man. LOVED it. I miss Leo and Greyson and seeing how they met was amazing. Lycos was so weird wtf he had me laughing with his weirdness. Quil keeps rubbing it in about those two. After the hope he gave us died a painful death, those cute stories are killing uuuus.
One Wish: Lol this was a funny one. I KNEW the wish wasn't what was being implied to be. Jade wouldn't even dream to top Mr Pride over there. But it was hilarious that the wish Elish was so against doing was what it was. Also, cute.
Cat Ears: How can i not like the story, in which Elish ADMITS that Sangy is his best lover!!! Well, before Jade got in the picture but anyway! DAMN RIGHT! Sneaky sneaky Elish, you! I still wish Elish would love him as well though. Not just for sex but actually care for him. I think he does, to an extend. It's also a pity we can't have Finny back...Although Jade has been through enough, to say the least, so i wouldn't do that to him.
My Long Lost Love: I love Ceph so i loved this one. I lovehate Nero. He's very charming and sweet sometimes, but a f monster other times. Also this was bittersweet, considering how things between them are rn.
The Pineapple: I liked this one. Not like the others. I'm not too crazy for Reaver and Killian lately. Especially Killian. I don't know. Well anyways.
Backwards Land: I wanted more Jade and Elish. It was a cool story and Reaver still is a psycho in this other universe, which sounds legit.
Reaver Merrik and the Boy Who Died: ''THIS IS JUST PURE INSANITY'' That. lol
Fucking Torture: Um. I could live without this one. I wanted a torture, rape-free book and this blew it. I liked Reno and Reav's moments though.
Nana: Loved this one, because Sangy. It was very sweet and emotional and it also showed that Elish kind of cares for Sangy even if he'd never admit it, even to himself, prideful pri*k. It was a lovely way for this book of short stories to end.
At this point in the series, it's fair to say that Fallocaust is hardly a light story, and I mean that in both senses of the word. Not only is the series relentlessly dark (to the point where exactly one of the main series novels has anything even approaching a happy ending, and even then only for two of the characters) but the shortest book is still well over 500 pages. It's a series that demands attention and focus, with over a dozen viewpoint characters at various points, each with their own plotlines spread across various locales.
These short stories are a much needed breath of fresh air after the massive downer ending of A God Among Insects. There's a couple of more comedic stories, a fair few which focus on romance or friendship, and where something bad does happen it's relegated to backstory or happens to other characters (although, from the perspective of the leads in the one standout example, this bad stuff presents only a mild inconvenience- this has always been a series where you have to take human morality out of the equation, and this is no different.)
The stories take place at various points in the time, and focus on a variety of characters. As a result we get a deeper insight into characters like Joaquin and Ares, who we don't necessarily know as well as the main characters. I was told not to read too deeply into the chronology but I found it hard not to look for any clues possible in one particular case. A few of the short stories are AU which gives us an interesting look on how things could have been, and one in particular (which isn't featured entirely in the book itself) even places the characters in Hogwarts (And, given the fondness of multiple characters for the series, I choose to believe that this will turn out to be a fanfiction written by one of them.)
Overall, I loved all the stories. Obviously there were a few standouts (OCD, One Wish, and The Pineapple) but there were no stories I would have skipped, which is the mark of a great short story collection.
Couldn't wait for this little goodie to arrive on my kindle! And it didn't disappoint. Full of our favourite characters. A lot of questions are answered, I just want to give away so many spoilers, it was soooo good! We get a bigger insight to the characters, including some we don't really know that well, which was a real treat! Some characters will surprise you ..*cough* ARES *cough*. Those brute twins are part hilarious, part sweet (yes, in their own ways), and part dumbass. Some stories are added extras and some give a bit of behind the scenes. The whole Elish and Sanguine dynamic is elaborated and really interesting.
There is a couple of kinky scenes for those craving that, not as detailed as the main series but enough to satisfy the fans :)
I hope there are going to be more short stories! Definitely recommend this to those who have read the books, not necessarily needed to have read all the books (there are book warnings before each short story if you don't want anything to be spoiled.) Helps for those who need a fallocaust-fix before the next book (which we would like very soon pretty please)
Holy F**king S**t, what a ride. I loved this collection. I laughed, I cried, I threw my kindle across the room. (Okay, I really just said WTF a lot) Now, I'm suffering from a book hangover and can't wait for more.
Hurry up Mr. Carter!
Never mind, I can wait till it's perfected—I suppose.
When I first heard this book was coming out with the catch phrase “nothing bad happens” I was hoping my beloved Fallocaust series wouldn’t lose its edge. I’m happy to say IT DOESN’T! It was just as dark with all the usual twisted Dekkers that I’ve come to love shown in a different light. Bravo Quil, you knocked this out of the ballpark.
Serious fan service from QC for those of us who have read all his current books. Not a stand alone by any means, and surprisingly short by QC standards, but full of all the dark/blood/taboo/drama that saturates the Fallocaust world. Awful and prodigious in ways that are thoroughly unexpected. While he promises "Nothing bad happens" that's more geared towards his core characters. One should always expect bad things to happen in the Fallocaust. Thanks Quil, I fully enjoyed it.
Full of spoilers for the entire series and the short stories
I just adored it !!!
As promised nothing bad happened and I was smiling so much my cheeks were hurting but no regrets the book was Soo good. Can't wait for vol 2 of these!
I just realized when reading this Perish loved the Silas original and the Silas clone and at both times his bastard of a twin was there sabotaging his relationships with them...I feel bad for perish now 😢😢##somehow bring perish back plz
Okay.. on to the stories... I just adored the first one with little Reaver and Reno..reaver was so bloodthirsty even at 2😆😆😆and him trying to kidnap Elish's wallet ..that scene was funny.
It was really heartwarming to see the Ares and Siris relationship develop
Seeing the start of Leo and Greyson's love story was a balm to my broken heart #somehow bring them back
The one wish thing was so adorable
Date night with Reaver and his Killibee was too cute for words...whenever I am going to re read the parts in AGAI where they both hurt each other I am going to remember this story
The alternate reality story about Killian being a greywaster was all kinds of awesome...Killian was raised with Malachy and Luca...and luca's name was LUCA FINN!!!
Can I just say I loved all the sides of Elish we saw here... And I truly loved to see the Dynamics between Sanguine and Elish. They both understood each other even if they didn't like each other.
I was always neutral to Sanguine at the starting of the series but few books later I had come to love the demon chimera and it was great to see him get closure.
And the things sanguine revelead about Elish were heart wrenching.I am team Elish by the way ...no matter what does it will be team elish lol🤷🙈And I like a true sadist want to know more about that time period..I know I am sick in the head lol
I wish Elish liked Sanguine though....
And the highlight was the HP story..I thoroughly enjoyed this one
Nicely done Quil Carter.Truly you have done a marvelous job Quil!!

After finishing A God Among Insects Volume 3, I’m not ashamed to beg. I was hoping in this set of short stories that I’d get more Elish &Jade and more Reaver & Killian. I got some of both, but please, dear God (and by God I mean Quil Carter), I desperately need more Elish & Jade.
They’re unbreakable. They have to be. Not Moros or Silas or Kerran or the plague lands or acid or Gage or proxy worms or death can keep them apart for long. I need to see their passion and their utter devotion to each other again. I’m definitely addicted to the two of them.
These short stories were fun and a really good read and I loved them, though. It was interesting to get some background on Nero & Ceph and others. Elish and Sanguine’s relationship is really fascinating. Elish figures in so many of these stories and in the history of the chimeras, and I can’t get enough of him. Although, the story about Killian, Malachy , Luca, Reaver, Jade, and Elish was confusing. So much seemed like a dream or Elish making the rest of them somehow forget. I can hardly wait to see what that story means in the grander scheme of things, because I couldn’t fit it into the timeline.
These were my favorites from this collection: Blood Brothers (Elish being Reaver's first kill is so special) Obsessive Chimera Disorder (Never thought I'd end up liking Joaquin so much. Also nice word-playing with the title) Cat Ears (Luca is adorable) The Pineapple (It was hilarious) Nana (I'm glad to finally get closure about Nan. I was so curious to know if Sanguine ever tried to find her. I also love that Elish was somehow there to help almost every brother at some point and hate that they all turned on him like he was a monster (not Sanguine tho, he has a heart of gold) I also liked Reaver Merrik and the Boy Who Died for the mere insanity of it :))

These stories were so cute and hilarious. I loved the Harry Potter au haha Profesor Elish and Silas Malfoy? The author has all my love for writing that story.
Also seeing Little Reaver and Reno's adventures was nice. And Leo and Greyson when they first met, they are one of my fave couples.
This book is a good break from the main series because oh boy the last books destroyed me into pieces. I don't know what the author is planning but I just hope Killi and Reaver are endgame👏
A dark and amazing book of short stories from the Fallocaust universe. They are brilliant, Quil really can make a story live. Fallocaust is one of the best series I’ve ever read. A must read series. Highly recommended
