Rate this book
The year is 1980, and the Cold War has never been hotter. Over the course of two-decades, the Soviets have silently completed their masterplan to smuggle the world's most devastating atomic weapon onto American soil - and now two rival factions of the KGB are desperately after control of it. The only thing standing in their way is Sgt. Jack Bonafide - a founding member of the legendary Delta Force and a lethal CIA black operative.

Only, Jack isn't the man he used to be - and in accepting this assignment, he finds himself facing a lot more than he'd bargained for.

What Amazon Readers Are

★★★★★ "An edge of your seat prequel to what promises to be more Bonafide adventures! 'Kick-butt adventure' complete with 'ouch, did not see that coming!'" Molly Hamblin

★★★★★ "Between all the Jericho Black, Jakob Mitzak, and Jack Bonafide books there's enough excitement, mystery and intrigue to keep one entertained for a long time. Direct Action is no exception. While it's a novella, it's still packed with the trademark style that is Jordan Vezina - exciting and fast paced" Ralph 2

★★★★★ "Jack Bonafide looks like the real deal. Ex-Delta soldier, now a CIA black operative, trying to prevent Russians from assembling and detonating a huge nuclear weapon in the US." Amazon Reader

★★★★★ "Wow! What can I say? Another 5-star book from this author. I really enjoyed reading it, and I'd definitely recommend to other readers." Susan Burns

This is the second introductory novella to the Bonafide family saga. This is leading up to the first full novel to be released this summer. If the future novels featuring this unique and interesting family are as compelling as these first two, I am in a state of quivering anticipation. Jack and Mac Bonafide are newly minted operatives of the CIA tasked with locating bits and pieces of a Soviet H-bomb supposedly located in various places all over the USA. Along the way there is plenty of action and more than a fair amount of trouble with local law enforcement agencies. Jack and Mac, you see, don't always play by normal rules and the results are usually interesting, to say the least.
Jordan Vezina is rapidly becoming one of my favorite authors. I love the plots and the characters he has developed and even though they are not always politically correct, they make for compelling reading. It has been my pleasure to read and review these great books and I look forward to more from this author.

Jack Bonafide is on another mission - of a different kind.

Leaving Delta for CIA NOC work was starting to look like a fruitful and good choice - until they were faced with some other conditions that were less than ideal.

So they safety of the world lies once again in the hands of some football playing, red necked southern boys.

hoo-yah!

an edge of your seat pre-quel to what promises to be more Bonafide adventures!

Kick butt adventure complete with ouch did not see that coming!

I received an advance copy of this book. I read it and most of the other books in this and related series on Kindle and on Kindle Unlimited.

This is a wonderful intro to a new series. It’s a short read but a brilliantly crafted story that introduces the new series perfectly. This author has become one of my favorites when it comes to this genre, I have yet to read a book by him that I didn’t enjoy! Can’t wait for the next book and for this series to develop.

Direct Action. Jordon Vezina

Jack Bona fide is a former Delta Force operative. Now CIA. Unfortunately, his first mission doesn't quite go as planned. Russian agents have infiltrated into America and are planning on assembling a bike they have secretly placed in America in the past . They are now trying to locate the nuke, probably better referred to as a suitcase nuke that has been disassembled. Fast paced read. Enjoyed

This one explores another member of the Bonafide family who were featured prominently in Broken English and a previous Jericho novel. High stakes action, espionage with Russians, and a nuclear threat. What more can you want?

More branches in the Jericho Black series, this is one awesome ride. This unique series has hooked me way back in among wolves and I cannot put these books down - this one as well. It is a short read, but I want to read more.

Having read several of Jordan Vezina's other books (love the Jericho Black series) I decided to give this new series a go. In Direct Action and with Jack Bonafide it appears that Jordan has really hit his stride. I found this book to be somewhat better than even the Jericho Black series, at least for my tastes. I really enjoy the new character, Jack, and am looking forward to future stories.

Direct Action is a thriller dealing with a time in history not often talked about, this fresh perspective makes for a cracking read. I’m sure once you have read Direct Action you will be downloading the rest of Jordan’s Universe of Characters.

Great start to a series

This was a good, quick introduction to a new series. A good deal of action as well as character development. Giver it a shot.

Awsome

A great addition to an already great list of books by this author. The only disappointment is that you have to wait for the next book!

Not a book, only a short teaser story. Stick to Tom Clancy or Mark Greeney, much better writing and use of your time

Beginning a new series

Direct Action by Jordan Vezina is the prelude to a high-intensity race to find a Russian super bomb hidden in the USA. Jack Bonafide is the protagonist of this new series that includes his brother and a female auditor who will use their skills to track the bomb's location. The backstory and action in this novella has emerged my appetite for the Black Tsar, so now I'm waiting impatiently for the next book.

The dynasty building reminds me of Wilbur Smith one of my favorite authors. The characters are well developed and mesh together well.
