A feel good book, I found it unputdownable. And I read it twice in two days.
The story is simple but the way the author has written it, makes it very readable. The characters are realistic and relatable. The relationships between the characters has been beautifully portrayed. I liked the conversations between the characters and also the non verbal communication between them.
The language is simple, but the story needs a bit of editing, which I feel, if the author can go through once, it would be helpful. There is a mention of Tamil movies and songs and places in Chennai which goes well as the story is set in Chennai.
I loved the book a lot and am planning to buy a physical copy of the book soon (when Amazon makes the delivery free).
A must, must read for all and especially for those who do not believe in arranged marriages.

A really good attempt about a movie like plot. The book reminded me of a few Tamil movies but the treatment was fresh. Arjun was not really likeable in the early chapters and Neha's motivation made little sense. I understand she could not have confronted her evil aunt when young but was not convinced that getting into a fake marriage was her only way out.. We all know how this book is going to end and the chemistry that only builds somewhere halfway of the book will definitely keep you going.
The epilogue was interesting and pleasantly surprised me

There's Something About this Novel that's Dated!

I was excited about this book from the title, but was disappointed. The interest and intrigue that the ending of the first chapter generated slowly got faded away in a sea of clichés as I learnt that the story was heading exactly in the direction as I expected.
There was nothing Tangled in this love story - it was a straight path from two people not liking each other to eventually falling in love. This is one of the oldest plots in the history of love stories, and that is not a bad thing in itself. What's disappointing is the generic depiction of emotions.
I read half this book on a very delayed flight. The rest, I completed over many sittings just as a courtesy of finishing a book once I had started reading. I wouldn't recommend it to romance lovers out there, this story will appeal more to a younger population, who would relate to the concepts of love at first sight and knights in shining armor and white horse.

A surprisingly well-written story by a new author. I'm glad she has chosen to self-publish her book without waiting for a traditional publisher to pick it up.

The story setting sounds familiar: a couple who get into a marriage of convenience discover each other along the way; but do they get together? It's not anything we haven't heard before and reminded me often of the movie Mouna Ragam, a Mani Ratnam classic from 1986.

What redeems the book is the honesty of the narrative. The characters, their motivations, their feelings, their actions...all of these feel very real and relatable. The climax is also not drawn out as it usually is in the movies. There's no unnecessary drama, yet you find the ending satisfying.

What i presumed to be another romance along the lines of Mills & Boon, turned out to be an unputdownable light hearted read. I loved the way the author has handled her characters. She has avoided the clichéd steamy scenes of an ordinary romance, yet, has brought out the warmth n connect between the protagonists in an extremely appreciable and a beautiful way. They begin to like and love each other and nowhere is there the hint of an insatiable physical need. Neha and Arjun grow on us and we want them to stay together in their marriage, Shobana Mahadevan is successful in instilling these emotions in us. Being a hardcore chennaite at heart, I also loved the innumerable analogies to tamil movies, songs and Chennai in general. Good job.

An interesting story.

Two people with quite different wavelengths get into a marriage of convenience with a sole intent of divorce after a year. While we all know they are going to end up with each other, the slow burn love between them has been interesting to read. The characterisation of the MCs is natural and they felt like people we would encounter IRL.
At times there was more introspection and narration than conversation.

Loved it.

Loved this book so much. It truly is a tangled love story. Lol. There are other books that are similar but this was still a cute story. Read it In one sitting. It shows that age doesn’t matter when it comes to love, society view about you should not affect you and everyone needs a girlfriend who you can get drunk with and badmouth your husband. Lol

Immature cliche love story

A cliche love story that has nothing new to offer the readers. More suitable for young readers who are trying romantic genre books

Not so tangled , pleasent love story :-)

To start it is a feel-good love story. I got carried away with the story, the book is very well written, simple and makes you fall in love with the main characters, I really liked the character of simple, lovable girl "Neha" somehow I got attached to her that's the magic of authors writing.
The end is predictable still you keep reading to find it out, the way the character Arjun and Neha start their journey from friendship to love is very well written. The conversations between them is so cute.

Overall it is a good read.

Happy reading :-)

Love stories are always special. You know what happens but still you likes to read it. I liked reading this book. although plot is familiar and end can be guessed, the writing is top-notch. It keeps you hooked till you finish. The chemistry between lead characters weaved properly through words.
A good refreshing read.
