The blow-by-blow autobiography of 'Super' Scott Dixon, the youngest UK boxer ever to turn professional. From training at London's Peacock Gym with the infamous Bowers brothers and surviving an attempt on his life to a Hollywood role, crime and redemption, The Road from Hell is testament to both human frailty and strength of will.
Whether you're a fan of boxing or not, this story is pretty gripping, from the very first chapter when he is attacked...funny at places, tough to read at places, but the narrative and his voice comes across the page. it's hard not to root for the guy and it pays off...It's not the predictive kind of sports story, There is a lot to it, but not a dense read either. Light-hearted yet serious, if that makes sense. highly recommend
