It's been a short while, but I missed my visits to the 'super powered youths hiding in plain sight in a Yakuza filled Tokyo' reality. Another volume, another subtlety darkly comedic episodic look into the lives of the Espers and their friends and 'families'. Great stuff, one Esper is leading a super powered martial art academy; one is living n America but still attending school via tablet; one is trying to not get pulled into battle with a battle-fixated Esper male; and one continues to manager her ramen street food stand. This series, would make a cult TV show I reckon. A Four Star, rounded-up(!) 7.5 out of 12.

Another slice of life slide through the ensemble cast is perfectly fine but leaves me longing for a little more progress to the overarching story. I just found out there are only three volumes left and figure something has to happen soon, right? But then again, I wouldn't be surprised if its just a casual walk out the door instead of a big send off. Oh well, I'll take whatever is offered.

The series keeps chugging along, being fun but not really doing a whole lot to make this volume stand out from the others.

One more down, last 3 to go. It’ll surely be sad once there’s nothing else to read. At this point I’m almost close to catching up to the released volumes (currently 18 and 19 haven’t released).

It’d be surely sad once the series is over. I’m amazed at how this manga has managed to not get too serious until now. Even with mangas with comedy focus there are periods of relatively somber stories, but here that hasn’t seemed to have happened. Other than that, there are fun, comedy stories. I had to read this one on kindle, since the library didn’t have this volume. That part sucks a bit, would have been nice to have had paperback to read.
