Just okay

This was a pretty simple story. I liked both of the main characters until the end when the guy totally changed personality for a couple weeks. His behavior towards the woman he was supposedly in love with was ridiculous and then when they make up he makes it seem like she was the problem. I didn't get that. Also, would have really liked an epilogue to let us know how things ended up between them. Story was interesting but really fell flat at the end.

"Forever Mine" by J. L. Campbell

My Sentiments:

'Forever Mine' was a sweet romance featuring Shevaugh and Scott, who started after meeting at a conference. And finding out they didn't want any involvement with each other than... the fact they had both been through a bad relationship and didn't want to jump into anything too serious. However, what will happen as things change for Scott when he starts having feelings for Shevaugh? Will this be a good thing, especially with Scott's drama that was all around him with his ex-fiancee[Lucy]? I will say Shevaugh's daughter was quite a trip...leaving me to say, wow! Angel, the [daughter], had quite a mouth on her...being so spoiled! At times, I was left wondering if Scott understood Vaughn's predicament as a single mom with many past hurts that she had endured from her ex-husband, Nolan. What happened when Scott left Vaughn without explaining why he was going?

Be really for a story with not only drama but 'betrayal, hope, dreams, deception, intrigue, heartbreak.' Will these two finally find true love? This will be a good read to pick up and see if these two will indeed come to a good ending after all is said and done.

Sweet story

This is my first book by this author and it was good. Scott and Shevaughn were a sweet couple that deserve happiness. Although you heard more about Scott’s drama than Shevaughn’s. The daughter Angel was a bit too grown for me! I was an only child for fifteen years and spent most of my time around grownups but I was never like that. Every time she was in a scene I’d just cringe! Nothing wrong with being precocious but that doesn’t mean children should be in grown folks business.
The ending seemed a bit abrupt! I felt like something was missing. It was flowing so good that I was expect more!

This was a cute little story. I like that it was set in Jamaica with a Jamaican mc.

Angel is hilarious and very inquisitive

I still think it was bs the way Scott went home without telling Shevaughn what the deal was bc he was in his feelings about the fact he wanted to go full steam ahead and she wanted to be cautious. She had more to lose with having a child to consider, not just herself. Then he wanna be mad that she pulled back due to Lucy big belly. Vaugh had every right.

I’m glad he wasn’t persistent though. He knew what he wanted and didn’t give up.

Forever Mine cover and title grabbed my attention but the story did not, in my opinion the story was slow, some parts were interesting and made me laugh. The courtship between Vaughn and Scott was very slow. I did enjoy Angel this was my first book by this author I will give her another chance.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”

This is a lovely read about second chance relationships, coming through divorce, single parenthood and full time working. There were well written erotic sensuous scenes without being graphic. Two people meet, both having relationships in the past – can they get past the baggage and problems these bring in to their relationship?

Forever Mine

I loved that Even though Scott was Hurt he didn't allow it to harden his heart. Shevaughn is such strong and determine Woman. I Live that she has a great support system for her and her daughter Angel.

Boring!

The main characters in this book were so boring they put me to sleep! So, thanks for that I guess! The writing was too long and winded and never really developed the characters enough for me to care about them!

Protective Hearts

The message from this book is very relatable. I think everyone have experienced feelings of insecurity when it comes to the heart. It is difficult to freely trust someone.

Good reading

Vaughn and Scott meet at a conference. He wasn’t looking for love, because he had just broken up with his ex. However Vaughn sparked a interest. She offered him a temporary job assignment in Jamaica and you will have to read the story to see what else happens

Read

I really liked it, this is slow burn but the journey is beautiful. I like the open-ended ending and the development of each character. It's a romantic book but totally realistic as well, which is nice.

ok freebie

I grabbed this during the “stock your Kindle” promo. It’s ok. Nothing amazing but still a good read for what it’s worth.
