Trapped with a man she can't trust, in a place from which there is no escape...
Taylor was willing to do almost anything to protect the people she cared about. Even if it meant joining forces with KOR, the clandestine group she'd agreed to work with. But she hadn't bargained for this.
Taken away from the Agency within hours of coming out of a coma, Taylor finds herself isolated from the very people she has vowed to protect. She must now not only learn how to survive, but she must come to grips with a truth she has desperately been trying to avoid. Her powers are gone. Her one bargaining chip with KOR has vanished, and with it, would go the protection that KOR had promised.
Determined to regain her powers before KOR discovers her secret, Taylor struggles to complete her basic training, knowing it may be the only weapon she has left, but fearing it will change who she is forever.

Danger. Suspense. A story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. A book that keeps you up all night reading because you just have to see what happens next...
It's what we're all looking for. The type of book that reaches out, grabs you and doesn't let go. Oh, it has its drawbacks. Nothing gets done. No cooking, no cleaning, no laundry. People call your name and you don't even respond. But it's worth it. Because you've found another place. Another world. And just for a little while, you're part of it.
I'm Cat Gilbert, and I write the Taylor Morrison Psychic Thrillers and the Molly McMurray Mysteries. In both series I try to give you, the reader, that experience. Characters you can connect with, a gripping plot chock full of action, danger, and enough twists and turns that even I have a hard time keeping up.
The The Taylor Morrison series centers around Taylor Morrison, a private investigator whose life is turned upside down when she suddenly develops psychic abilities. We're not talking X-Men, comic book, mutant type stuff here. Instead, this is the kind of thing you've always wondered about. Or at least I have. The idea that maybe we aren't utilizing our brains to their fullest. That maybe if we tried hard enough, we could do stuff and if we could, what sort of ramifications that would have.
The Molly McMurray Mysteries is a new series. The main character is, of course, Molly McMurray. There's a psychic 'twist' to this series as well, and his name is Kaegan. Who he is, and the role he plays, I'll leave to you to discover.
Having moved over 32 times, Cat Gilbert now makes her home in Arkansas with her husband and their dog, Clancy. When she's not writing, she spends her time trying to figure out a way to keep the deer from eating her blackberries and fig trees, experimenting with new Paleo recipes, and attempting to convince Clancy that playtime has to wait until she finishes the chapter.

Was a decent book, but reading it at the end and how it finished was like WTH!?!?! Luckily it had an excerpt from the beginning of Book 2 so I could then remember how it transitioned into that book.
Now that the series is through that book, anyone starting the series I'd recommend you read this book as book 1.5
Amazing suspense story that had me reading the entire book in one day. Taylor was willing to do anything to keep her family safe but that didn’t turn out so easy.
A nice short story. Is this a new page in Taylor's' life? I appreciate all the training she received and was shocked by what has happened to her abilities. Time to read the next book.
Interesting about how she recovers and prepares for the next chapter. She has lost her powers and has to come to terms with that and learn other ways to survive.
For me this was a big let down after the first book. First, there was so little action when compared to the first book. Second, the book was so much shorter. Hopefully this won't be a series of chopped up novellas!
