I learned a lot that I didn't know about the history of queer video games. The design layout of the book was really great. Some of the essays were difficult to read because they were written in complicated academic language with a lot of assumed understanding of queer theory.
The essays weren't always my cup of tea, but it was so refreshing and enlightening to read something about my interests and identities and the history within.
I purchased this book while visiting Berlin’s Schwules Museum. It’s a great addition to my queer collection and I’d never seen a book on this subject before.
I discovered queer games I’d not heard of before but ultimately there isn’t a-lot of material for this book to work with. We’re so staved of queer computer game content and it shows!
