I'm not exactly sure when I fell in love with books. Probably on my mother's knee listening to her read Dr. Seuss to me. I do remember that I was barely old enough to cross the street by myself when I discovered the delights of the local library. Could anything be more wonderful than spending summer days surrounded by stacks of Nancy Drew mysteries? Over the years I fell in love with Victoria Holt, Jane Austen, Agatha Christie, and J.R.R. Tolkien just to name a few. I read poetry, essays, biographies, and plays. In fact, I read anything I could get my hands on.

Years later (no, I'm not admitting how many) I'm still an avid reader, and my tastes are still as varied as they were in my youth, which I suppose helps to explain why I enjoy writing regency historicals under the name of Deborah Raleigh, as well as my contemporary paranormals as Alexandra Ivy. For now that is enough to keep me busy, but who knows what the future might hold!

I do have a few other loves in my life besides reading and writing, the most important being my unbelievably patient husband, David, and my two sons, Chance and Alexander. Without their constant support and belief in me, I never could have been able to follow my dreams. They are truly my heroes.

Roke I love how honest that boy is, "Sally, whether the mating is some demon magic or not, it feels real to me," he rasped. "To have you disappear..." He shuddered, revealing the genuine pain he'd been forced to endure. "Christ." He would do anything for Sally, "I would spend half a million on diamonds if it pleased you," he said, his voice low, rough." He's possessive, "no, I'm damned well not ashamed," he growled. "I'm protecting what's mine." I mean really possessive, "one of those dogs ever lay a hand on you and they're dead," he growled, is hands lifting to run up her bare thighs. "Hell, if any man touches you, they're dead." Nothing comes between mates not even fathers:
"Go away, Sariel," he growled.
There was a gasp of disbelief. "This is my home."
Sally stroked her hands over Roke's chest. "Father, please," she murmured, clearly distracted."
Roke he's not at all bashful in stating his needs, "I need you naked." his co** gave a twitch of approval, trying to bust through the zipper of his jeans." Yeah I love this series and I can't wait for the next book.

Is it possible that a mega alpha vampire could fall for a feisty, yet untried witch because of a spell she has unleashed? Does this mean an eternity mated to each other? Sally’s demon father has the power to undo the spell, but first he must be found. With Roke and the ever loveable gargoyle extraordinaire, Levet hot on her heels, Sally is desperate to find the one man who can help before she combusts with the heat that is shared between her and Roke.
Has the determined and strong-willed Sally brought the tough and hard as nails Roke to his emotional knees? Is it possible that there is more to their bond than a witch’s spell? As Sally braves all that is placed before her, Roke is compelled to protect her in any way he can. Talk about sigh-worthy! As she discovers more about her past, her powers and who she really is, she is prepared to take on the world for the man she has fallen for, spell or not. Have these two met there match? Where will their loyalties lie when it would seem the world is against them in one way or another?

Alexandra Ivy NEVER disappoints! Her ability to create drama, tension and humor in the midst of it all is perfectly captured in Hunt the Darkness. From start to finish, the heat and passion runs high in this fast-paced adult fantasy that she has populated with fiercely devoted characters, steaming tension and a cast of secondary characters that add so much to this tale! When an author can keep a series fresh and keep its characters feeling alive, they are doing their job, just as Alexandra Ivy always does! Her cherry on the top of her gift for words? Levet, definitely Levet.

~ 4.5 Hunt the Darkness Stars ~

Hunt the Darkness is book eleven in the Guardians of Eternity series by Alexandra Ivy. If you love supernaturals, then you will love this. We are given a verity of sups from vampires, werewolves, imps, gargoyles, witches, and so much more. It’s also full of action, romance, and plot twists and turns.

We where introduced to Roke and Sally in Darkness Avenged and Oh Boy, I could not wait to get my hands on their novel. Sally is a witch and vampires hate witches. Roke is a clan chief and a very possessive sexy vampire. He gets lead on a dangerous and entertaining chase. Sally and Roke's chemistry is off the charts, they have an emotional journey to go through and also a very unique and unusually mating. I loved that the mating was so different from what we have been seeing in this series. AIvy also included several of our favorite characters from previous novels in this installment including, Levet or fun loving gargoyle.

I loved Hunt the Darkness! I highly recommend this series and book. Each book can be read as a standalone. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next installment in this series.

It's been over 3 years since I read this series up until this point, and I forgot many characters, but it was an absolute bliss to read this book. Wonderful "enemies" to lovers where she accidentally mates with him. Everything was perfection here!

The day I can’t protect what’s mine, I’ll hang up my fangs, Roke

Hunt the darkness is the eleventh book in the Guardians of eternity series by Alexandra Ivy. This book tells the story of Roke, a vampire clan chief and Sally, a powerful witch.

Mating with Roke was an accident! Or so they both think. After destroying the Dark lord, Sally accidentally triggered the mating between Roke and herself. The only way to releasing the spell, is to find her father. A task very difficult considering that her mother never revealed to her his identity. The search becomes even more difficult when Roke decides to join the hunt...

Roke never wanted a mate like Sally impulsive, stubborn and trouble maker. He's trying to fight his instincts and stay away from her but it's not as easy as he thought. He may not have wanted a mate but he got one. But for how long? I really loved Roke, he was so different from the other males in the series and that really drew me to him. He was determined, strong-willed, protective, territorial, loyal but most of all he was against the mating. He's the first male in the series who's so against the mating and he's not shy to admit it. He believes that the sooner they find Sally's father the better. But after joining the hunt he begins to doubt his choice. Fake or not, though, the mating feels very real..

Sally's life hasn't been easy but neither was Roke's. They both had to go through a lot and they both survived. She never expected to be mated to a vampire, especially someone like Roke, but now she has to find a way to undo it! As their journey begins, they uncover secrets that threat to rip them apart. Sally isn't sure if her life is more dangerous without Roke—or with him. . .

I loved, loved this book. The world Alexandra has created is bound to captivate you! It gripped my attention from page one till the very end. It left me wanting more. Sally was such an incredible lead female while Roke did what vampire alphas do best, he was just AMAZING! The chemistry between them was already visible from the previous book in the series but here they "combusted".

What I also loved about the book was the secondary characters. Levet, of course, was a huge part of the book. The "savior" of the world comes again to "save" the situation. A charmer for the ladies but a nuisance for the alpha vampires, Levet was literaly an intergal part of the book. We also get to meet, the clan chief of Ireland, Cyn and Sally's family. I was beyond fascinated with Cyn and his many talents!!! I hope the next book will be about him and Fallon, Sally's engaged sister...

Filled with action, suspense, romance, drama, humor and a loveable gargoyle, Hunt the darkness will definitely captivate you!

Highly recommeded!!!

Note : This book is part of a series and it can't be read as a stand alone. If you do decide to read it before reading the other books in the series please keep in mind that some parts will definitely confuse you!

Alexandra Ivy is one of my favorite authors. Her witty and brilliantly cast of characters keep me coming back for more.

Hunt the Darkness is the vampire Roke and the witch named Sally's story. Yes, somehow and quite magnificently, Ivy twisted the evil witch Sally into a heroine with deep substance...a character I could get behind.

When you read Hunt the Darkness, you will be treated with a wonderfully sensual and tantalizing romance, heartfelt emotions, and the perfect amount of humor. Roke may be the dark and brooding alpha, but he sure knows how to pursue the woman of his desires. Of course, the center of the humor would be the irresistible gargoyle, Levet.

Once again, Ivy created a fabulous story you won't want to put down. The plot twists and turns, and I was hit with a boy I didn't see that one coming more than once...

If you love uber alphas with a paranormal twist, complemented by strong female leads that can stand on their own...Don't miss a single book in the Guardians of Eternity series.

NEVER has picking up an Alexandra Ivy story ever let me down! 5 Stars for Hunt the Darkness.

First of all, this was my first book by Alexandra Ivy but it will be definitely not the last one I read:

Roke was always a loner, but suddenly he found himself mated to the witch, Sally because of a spell gone bade. Now she is on the run and searching for a father she has never met in order to undo the spell and become unmated to Roke. As problems occur it becomes apparent that Roke cannot leave Sally alone because the mating has brought out his vampire yearning for her and his inability to to leave her alone.

Reading about these two was a lot of fun - their bickering and snark was hilarious and had me laughing out loud at times. in addition to that there was some real hot chemistry.
the characters were well defined and you could feel the tension and how their feelings changed. I loved it to witness these developments - especially when it came to trust and how they learn to trust each other.

the story was well done and had me on the edge of my seat sometimes because of the action.

All in all: This was a hot and romantic read with a lot of action ... So if you are looking for a good PR I think this is worth a try :)

My Rating 4.5/5

Thrilling, action-packed, and delightfully romantic, Hunt the Darkness was a fantastic paranormal romance. I really liked this book and I really enjoyed reading it. It was an absolutely lovely read.

Sally was a wonderful heroine. She was strong, independent, and managed to hold her own while being surrounded by a bunch of alpha males. When she was determined, nothing was going to stop her. I thought she was lovely and I really liked her.

Roke was also amazing. He was so sweet, in his own gruff way. He was intensely loyal, whether it was to his tribe or his mate. And, he was definitely not someone to be messed with if you threatened either one. He was great and I totally adored him.

The romance was lovely. Sally and Roke were so great together. With them both being so strong-willed, they definitely met their match in each other. And, the chemistry between them was constantly on high and there was a ton of steaminess with these two. I thought they were a perfect couple.

The plot was fast paced and I was mostly hooked the entire way through. There were a few parts where I was less interested. There were tons of thrills and surprising secrets that kept me on the edge of my seat. I really enjoyed the story and the ending was wonderful.

Hunt the Darkness was a fantastic paranormal romance. I really liked this delightful read. From the thrills, to the romance, to the secrets I never saw coming, this book was lovely. Romance lovers, this is a book you won't want to miss.

As always Alexandra Ivy comes up with a great story to fit perfectly into this series!

As a continuing saga from the last book, Sally having accidentally casts a spell on Roke causing a mating mark to appear. They are now on the hunt for her father who can remove the spell, and Levet gets to tag along!

A demon keeps appearing & tries to steal a box they've found, Fae are leaving them gifts & bowing in their presence & they are fighting the mating, since it will be reversed... Witches & Vampires do not normally get along, so Sally gets the backlash from Roke's clan, too.

This was a great book & I love this author. I will keep reading this series forever too! I do have a complaint though... When I first started this series, I didn't need to remember exactly who is who & what happened last year - 6 months ago after reading 100 books in between. Now all of a sudden these books have something hanging on & there really isn't much refresher right away, so I was confused for a while before pieces were put together.... AND I had totally forgotten about the dark lord!! Still a great read!! But I like the first books better!

Sally accidently mates herself to to the vampire known as Roke. So as soon as she can she is on the run looking for her unknown father in hopes he will be able to break this unwanted mating. Roke on the other hand is desperate to catch up to her. While he doesn’t like it that his choice in mating was taken from him he also knows that he does not want this mating broken.

This is an action packed story full of drama and romance with just the right amount of humor. I was impressed with how wonderfully paced this book was and how fast I fell in love with its characters.

Hunt the Darkness is the eleventh book in the Guardians of Eternity series. This is one of my all-time favorite paranormal romance series and Hunt the Darkness is a wonderful addition. I will admit that I haven’t read them in order and there are several I haven’t had a chance to pick yet so I do think that this book can be read and enjoyed as a standalone. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series soon.

This is one of those series that is at the core of my PNR addiction and yet I don't devote nearly the time to it that it so richly deserves. I remember years ago when I first discovered the GoE series and I would haunt the bookstores looking for back titles and more information on future titles. I still love this series, but as the blog grew and life in general happened. I slacked off and I am completely repentant. I should be caned, flogged and made to lose my fan card.

This book was super fun to read. Loved Roke and Sally's banter. Levet was also an awesome character.
Its best to read the previous book to know how Roke and Sally met and their mating happened.

HUNT THE DARKNESS is the eleventh full length storyline in Alexandra Ivy’s contemporary, adult, romance Guardians of Eternity paranormal series. This is Roke and Sally’s storyline one that started in book ten Darkness Avenged. While being held prisoner in the King of the Vampire’s underground lair hybrid witch Sally will cast an enchantment spell over her less than gracious guard-a vampire named Roke-forcing an accidental mating between two species whose hatred for one another goes back thousands of years-vampires and witches are mortal enemies- and Roke’s clan refuses to accept that their chief is mated to a demon.

The storyline follows Roke and Sally as they endeavor to find a ‘counter’ spell that will render their mating inert. Suspecting that her mother may have hidden the secrets to Sally’s true heritage, Sally takes off for places unknown leaving a desperate vampire struggling with the whereabouts of his reluctant mate. Finding Sally is easy now that their mate bond grows stronger but keeping Sally safe from an unknown enemy is proving to be a little more difficult. Sally hopes to find the father she never knew but someone or something is planning to stop her at all costs.

The relationship between Sally and Roke has been building for two books. Enemies to friends to lovers, Roke was assigned by Styx as Sally’s keeper but the mating bond would prevent him from doing any harm. As the couple travel cross country hoping to find any information that will ‘inactivate’ the accidental mating, Sally will discover that there is more to her DNA than a suspected witch and demon mating-there is much more to Sally than meets the eye. Roke knows in his heart that Sally is his mate but Sally still believes that she has tampered with their mating and Roke may belong to someone else. As Roke struggles to convince Sally she is his mate, Sally continues to search for the spell that will tear them apart.

The secondary characters include a couple of the previous storyline heroes including Styx, Salvatore and a fearless little gargoyle who bring familiarity and humor to a story with the potential for heartbreak and loss. The enemy may not always appear in their true form and oft times they may even be someone close or related by blood.

The majority of the storyline focuses on Sally and Roke’s hunt for Sally’s father and the truth behind a box gifted with magical powers. As the storyline builds so too do Sally’s powers-ones that will reveal themselves in their entirety when her destiny is foretold.

Alexandra Ivy writes another exciting storyline with suspense, mystery, romance and love. As Roke and Sally struggle with their attraction to one another the realization that their mating may not have been a mistake is one that must be pushed out of their minds when a long forgotten enemy reappears at the same time Sally’s future begins to unfold. Choices will be made and passions will be ignited, and in the end, a young witch with unforeseen powers may be the key to uncovering a long forgotten species.

The Guardians of Eternity is one of my all time favorite series so when I saw Hunt the Darkness pop up on NetGalley I jumped at the chance to review it! Being that it is book 11 I would recommend that you read the entire series to get the full effect but it's not required. I somehow managed to somehow skip the last book but found that there was enough information in it to keep me from being lost.

I have to say that I love and I mean LOVE Alexandra Ivy's vampires! They are so deliciously possessive of their mates. They will move heaven or hell to protect them even if that happens to be from themselves. And in Hunt the Darkness, Roke has his hands full trying to keep Sally out of danger.

In the previous book halfbreed witch Sally has cast a spell that unwittingly forced Roke into mating her. In this world the couples know their mates by a mating mark that appears on their arms followed by an intense desire for one another. At first Roke is furious, he doesn't like witches and feels trapped but the mating won't allow him to turn his back on Sally. It compels him to take care of her and keep her safe. Sally manages to press every button that Roke has while they search for her demon father in the hopes that he can help her reverse the mating spell.

Sally is an awesome heroine. She has a fearless, stubborn, spit in the face of death attitude that I adored. She was determined to release Roke from her spell even though she was developing feelings for him. Sally's led a hard life of abuse at the hands of her mother which broke my heart, it made her feel totally alone in the world and expendable.

Roke was possessive, fierce, domineering and determined to protect his mate at any cost. Even though he started out resentful of the mating bond he never once faltered in his duty of taking care of her. No matter how aggravated Sally made him he always treated her as something precious to him. And I loved how he always referred to her as "my love" The emotions that he develops for her remind him that life isn't just about duty and he quickly embraces the idea of Sally as his true mate.

An excellent addition to the Guardians of Eternity series, Hunt the Darkness is a fast pace read with lots of action, romance and the right amount of snarkiness that had me laughing out loud at times. I love the world that the author has created, it's rich in detail and color and I can't wait to read the next installment! I recommend this to anyone who loves PNR with tons of excitement and crazy possessive alphas.

I won't lie was very excited to be able to read this next one in this series especially since I have read most if not all of the ones proceeding this one in this series. When that happens you anticipate waiting for the next but when you finally get it you think or I do is this one going to be just as good as the ones proceeding them? Can she do it or could it get even better? I guess to it becomes like a series on tv you wait for the next one know all the players or characters in this instance and get to meet new too. Having read on these two before now it is there turn to have their story expanding and finally find out what is what with these two and where will they go-Roke and Sally. Of course it would not have been as good if this was skipped the bit in Styx's lair that fills in someone who is first time reading this author's book but when Salvatore and Styx are having to play nice with each other it is priceless banter you get from these two. Everyone one of the males always seem to pick on Levet who thank goodness is yet again to the rescue in his fashion that only Levet can do. The ladies do seem to love him or lets say have more tolerance the men. So in this one we get to go with Roke while he searches for Sally who by accident they have become mated. When found you then get to go with the two of them on quite the adventure in looking for who and where her father is but also discovered is a box of a special kind that will also be a bases in this story. Roke also finds he wants to stay mated with Sally while even though she tries to deny it feels very deeply for him also. Their building relationship will be witnessed in this novel with all the style you can expect from this author but also she has the ability to make each couple's story unique in itself. The excitement when you read of the love that grows paranormal style and the challenges that are faced and dealt with keep me the reader quickly turning each page hungry for more not wanting to miss any tidbit. Just because he is Clan Cheif will not make it any easier for his clan to just bow down and accept Sally either especially because of who she is and how their mating began. It the true fashion of this author when you have devoured and reached the end you are truly sated because this author still has the magic touch and she has yet again delivered awesome in this series. On this plus side to for me as this series grows I get to revisit also with some of my favorite characters as they too grow and evolve. Received a arc for a honest review.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

It's been a while since I started this series back in 2011. I read the first 6 books in the series voraciously, then, while I was waiting for the 7th book to come out, I was distracted by other series and while I kept buying the new releases, I never did come back to this series. It was only when I saw this book, book # 11 of the series on Netgalley that I thought, well this would be a good time to catch up. I'm very glad I did because the series has only gotten better over time.

I may go back to review the other books, but I have an obligation to review this one so I'm starting here - and it was also my favorite book so far in the series so that helps.

We left the last book after Roke and Sally met and left each other under less than ideal circumstances. Since it's in the synopsis, there are no spoilers here - due to an unusual manifestation of Sally's magic, she forced a compulsion on Roke which triggered his mating bond. Now Roke is bound to her out of duty and obligation, and they both are trying to find a way to break the bond. Roke because she is an infuriating magic-user and he has never trusted magic, and Sally because she is feeling guilty for her out of control magic. Plus - let's be honest here, we can all tell that Sally would rather a man be with her out of love than obligation even though she does find him extremely irresistible.

As Sally and Roke try to track down her father in the hopes that he will be able to fill in the mystery surrounding her unknown background, they are being tracked by someone who wants Sally's growing power for himself. Sally learns that forced or not, Roke is the only one she can depend on.

I really liked the way Sally has completely turned around from the black magic witch she was in the previous book who supported Gaius and the Dark Lord. The author was able to make her almost instantly likable, instead of having her have to battle back from her past transgressions. By showing her POV, the reader can see that Sally is really a troubled person that just needs to finally catch a break for her to turn her life around. Roke was just yummy in his role as her alpha male protector and I really liked the way he kept chasing her down no matter what the circumstance. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to see what happens with Cyn and Fallon next!

Roke is on a mission. Forcibly mated to Sally, a witch, which he now wants reversed, he first needs to find her though so far she's been able to elude him. Finally relying on the sleuth skills of the ever obnoxious, irritating, and all around menace to society Levet, he's finally trapped her. As a feared clan leader it will be child's play to make her dissolve the bond....

Sally is on a mission of her own. Having survived the aftermath of the Dark Lord's death, she now needs to find the father who donated sperm and left. The key to her future lies in finding him to dissolve the mating bond that ties her to one very opinionated, bull headed, conceited, dictatorial, sensual, gorgeously HAWT vampire. But. That doesn't mean she can't enjoy her honeymoon in the meantime .......

This is a standalone installment in the Guardians Of Eternity series featuring Roke and Sally. I guess I don't even need to add that it also includes the favorite sidekick of the series Levet along with cameo appearances from characters from past installments.

I will add that the erotica portions of this book barely crossed into the adult content threshold. Additionally, the sexual tension between the two main characters drove me crazy wanting the two to hurry up already and jump each others bones. So, if you're one who looks for a good dose of adult content scenes know that this one won't scratch that itch though the build up to the actual scenes (less than a handful) WILL test your ability NOT to skip pages to get there. hehehe.

I recently had the opportunity to meet and talk with the author of this series and got insight into the inner workings of her mind. I do like where she's going with things and can't wait for the overall series plot to evolve. In the meantime enjoying the individual installments are worth checking out for fans of paranormal vampire reads who enjoy spice and snark in an action-adventure storyline.

There were minor issues in this book that were problematic for me but seriously I enjoyed this read so much (and I admit I'm still in fangirl mode from meeting Ms. Ivy in person ... and yes she's as sweet, wonderful, and genuine a person as I've ever met) that they fade into the background.

Can't wait for the next installment which will feature Cyn & Fallon. :D

If you are a paranormal fan this is a must read. I have apparently been in some sort of paranormal black hole to have missed out on this very popular series. Hunt the Darkness is book 11 in the Guardians of Eternity series and I am in love with the world that has been created by Alexandra Ivy. I read this one as a stand alone story and knew about 25% into the story that I was in trouble. It caused a groan that was a combination of joy and despair. Joy because I was totally drawn into this great story, and despair because now that I have discovered this wonderful world I must go back and start from the beginning. Reading this as a stand alone story was fine, but now I must know the stories that came before. There are definitely references to things that happened before Roke and Sally's story. While not taking away from my enjoyment of this story, not having read the previous books definitely left me wanting to know the back stories that came before.

Now where to start with my love of Roke? Strong, determined, territorial and possessive (in the best possible way), and loyal. He has all of the best alpha vampire qualities that one could ask for. Sally is a great lead female; smart, determined in her own way, but in no way flighty or stubborn to the point of aggravation. There's plenty of steaminess to go along with this terrific ride of a story. Alexandra Ivy has leap frogged her way to the top of my want to read list with this series. I fully plan to carve out time to binge read this series over the summer. I don't know whether to bless or curse Ivy for drawing me in the way that she has. Paranormal Romance
Release date: May 27, 2014

ABOUT THE BOOK:

The vampire, Roke, is raw, sensual, always in control. Yet somehow he's allowed the unthinkable to happen: a nymph-like witch named Sally has used her magic to trick Roke into mating with her. The pair will remain bound for eternity unless Sally breaks the spell. The trouble is, she has no idea how. . .

Mating with Roke was an accident; at least that's what Sally keeps telling herself. She's on the hunt for her demon father, whose identity holds the key to releasing the spell. The search won't be easy with Roke shadowing Sally's every move. As they mate with a ferocity that leaves them both aching for more, Sally isn't sure if her world is more dangerous without Roke—or with him. ..

MY REVIEW:

Holy cow, this was a good read! It’s been awhile since I’ve picked up a paranormal romance, and I think that’s because I overdid it a few years back. With this read, though, I’m glad I did. It was highly engaging, hot, suspenseful, and overall, a great romance.

So here you have this witch whose managed to bind a strong vampire to her, one who doesn’t want the binding, but finds himself slowly and very reluctantly caring for her. Sally, our witch, also gravitates toward feeling for Roke, our vampire, but she doesn’t know how to proceed. Of course the two don’t talk about it, because if they did, well we wouldn’t have a book, would we?

Add in a demon father, her history that she doesn’t yet realize, and one very funny gargoyle, and oh my goodness, you’ll be flipping through the pages faster just in an attempt to keep up. It’s all around very enjoyable.

If you want a book that will leave you wanting to read it all over again, one that’s hot and engaging, one that will have you laughing out loud, then pick this up today!

Hunt the Darkness is the 11th book in the Guardians of Eternity series by Alexandra Ivy. For the best understanding of this book, I recommend that the series be read in order. Hunt the Darkness is about Roke, a centuries old vampire clan leader and Sally, a 30 something witch. Sally has accidently forced a mating with Roke through her magic. Roke was furious when this happened but he finds himself drawn and attracted to her. Sally feels the same but she is determined to fight the attraction while they search for her father. Sally is part demon, through her father, but she has never known who or what he is. It is their hope that her father will know how to break the false bond.

I liked both Sally and Roke. As the story unfolds some of their individual history is revealed and it helps us understand them better. This is especially important for Sally since she made some questionable choices in the past. It was nice to see her blossom in this novel, as she becomes a character you can admire.

Roke and Sally’s story takes us on a journey from one location to the next as they dodge danger, and unexpected attention from the fey. There is action mixed throughout as Roke and Sally find themselves growing closer and closer. Roke is a very protective and gruff hero. He holds back a bit in the beginning but it’s not long before he starts to believe what he’s feeling is real and not a result of the false bond. Sally is also falling for Roke but she knows that his clan won’t accept her as long as the false bond is in place.

Hunt the Darkness was a delightfully entertaining read, filled with action, adventure and romance. I recommend this book and the entire Guardians of Eternity series to fans of paranormal romance.

REVIEW:
I can't get enough of Alexandra Ivy's Guardians of Eternity Series. It's on my Top 10 List of favorite paranormal romances and the series never fails to entertain while also satisfying my need for hot alpha male heroes. Hunt the Darkness's ultra sexy and possessive vampire is Roke. Roke is lead on an entertaining and dangerous chase by his mate, Sally who happens to be witch. This leads to conflict because vampire normally hate witches, but Roke can't deny the mate bond with Sally and their chemistry is off the charts hot. I loved their story! Alexandra Ivy also included a lot of my favorite characters in this installment which included my favorite little gargoyle, Levet. If you're a fan of the series then you're a fan of Levet. He usually steals the scenes and keeps the reader laughing. This series is an exciting and sexy paranormal series filled with vampires, werewolves, imps, gargoyles, witches and more. I highly recommend the entire series, but each book can be read as a standalone. I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Readers were treated to a great deal of page time with Roke and Sally in Darkness Avenged. In fact at the end of the book he was chasing her. Hunt the Darkness picks up with Roke still chasing Sally. I’m just perplexed by this. A sexy as sin alpha vampire like Roke would not have to chase me down. I’d gladly run to him. Oh that vamp is made of all that is hot.
Sally has her reasons for running. They are good solid reasons. She’ll be damned if any chest pounding Neanderthal vamp is going to stick her back in a prison. She is desperately trying to fix a wrong. The wrong involves the bossy vamp. Sally is just used to solo life and she feels that it needs to stay solo. She feels that finding a secret from her past is key to correcting her wrong.
All this leads to Roke and Sally getting perused by new foes for them and the Guardians for Eternity books. True form to Alex’s books there is plenty of humor mixed with her domineering alpha males and the females that drive them to the point of insanity. There appears to be an entire new race to give Ivy’s sexy vampires hell. At eleven books into the series they still remain fresh and unique by continually introducing new characters and new species of paranormal beings.

Thank you Netgallery and Kensington Books for letting me read and review this book..

I truly love the Guardians Eternity series by Alexandra Ivy.

Hunt of Darkness starts off with Roke and Levet searching for Sally while she is trying to find some information about breaking the mating "curse" and her father.

Sally is a very misunderstood witch that wants a family and someone to love her. She is very strong, independent and very determined to get her own way.
Roke, what can I say. He is hot, knows what he wants and takes it.

I love Sally and Roke together. Their love for each other truly grows in this book. They work together as a team most of the time. Like I said she is very determined and he is very stubborn.

I don't want to give to much away in this book. It was a very fast pace and enjoyable read. I can't wait for the next Guardians of Eternity book.

Raw, sensual sexuality all in an always in control Vamp.

Roke is a vampire that keeps it all in check. At least until he meets a nymph-like witch named Sally and she cast her mating spell. The mating between the two may end in the opposite direction in which either of them may actually want. Which is alive. At every turn there seems to be someone or something on their tail.

This is only my second read in the 'Guardians of Eternity' series and I must say that a I so enjoyed this much more than the first. Hunt the Darkness has the heat, passion, and suspense that drives one to want to read more.

Ivy has given me a reason to come back for more of the 'Guardians of Eternity.' After this I will most certainly pick back up where I left off in this series.

Thanks, NetGalley.

Another great book! I love all this series! Alexandra Ivy does it again!

I love a strong heroine that can hold her own against a alpha male. I really liked the way Sally has completely turned around from the black magic witch she was in the previous book who supported Gaius and the Dark Lord. I loved their story! Alexandra Ivy also included a lot of my favorite characters in this installment which included my favorite little gargoyle, Levet. An excellent addition to the Guardians of Eternity series, Hunt the Darkness is a fast pace read with lots of action, romance and the right amount of snarkiness that had me laughing out loud at times.

I really liked Roke and Sally. I liked that it didn't come easy to them and that there wasn't insta-love which I hate.

The only thing that annoyed and which I found rather unrealistic was Roke's lack of reaction with that annoying pest Levet (a 3 foot tall gargoyle) stole his quarter million dollar, one-of-a-kind, custom-built Harley and Roke didn't do a darn thing. Nothing! Honestly how the hell could a 3 foot tall anything ride a harley? Seriously. Mate or not he should have been all over that mini-gargoyle.
