The main character is a Virtual Game developer, who forces his way into the game. His character is a beetle who has lost his memory and doesn't consider himself a monster.
He begins to upgrade his skills and get different achievements. He's trying to get to the truth as he pieces together shards of his memories, which he can't completely trust. As his intelligence grows, his memories are coming back.
The realm he falls into is an underground world, which consists of ten levels, with different caves, tunnels, and monsters.
The dungeons are full of hostile beetles of different types, forms, and sizes. There are a clear hierarchy and division between them. At the same time, two endless wars are going one between monsters' clans, and the other between monsters and humans.
A spin on the typical litrpg. Although multiple stories of NPCs gaining power have been told. We see a story incorporating a dungeon mob gaining power and developing into new and more powerful MC. A dev stuck or purposely placed in a beetle's body. Ready and willing to read the remainder of this series!
This story is in dire need of a good translator. The story is interesting but it really suffered from poor English. There were sections that the writing was incredibly stunted and it read like someone who was just learning a new language. I enjoyed the story but it could have been a lot better.
Smarter than the Tick, the beetle keeps sending himself to respawn when he thinks too hard. A great adventure. Solo for a while, runs with a sidekick, plays with a party. A pretty stand up guy (on at least 4 legs). I had fun and I assure you that there isn't a harem in this book. Pretty darn enjoyable for a story about running around underground with a bunch of bugs. You hardly notice after a while, since they are the people if the book. The 2 legged do feel alien after a while in this story.
Nice incorporation of LitRPG elements. The story of the growth of a monster character from birth to ... mid levels? Still plenty of room for growth and lots of story left to explore. A good, solid story. Likeable and unique MC. Overall great book. Will definitely pick up the next in the series.
I liked where this nice went and thought the whole upgrading system was interesting. I appreciated the author changed to level up for starts info through or the book so up upgrades made some more sense. Biggest thing is getting a better translator but if this does well then maybe book 2 will have some more funding. Keep up the good work
A strange tale of an evolving beetle MC. But plenty of action and excitement. A lot shifts of viewpoints though. Still I will continue to read his works.
Honestly this is all over the place, to begin with yep you get it. But then it explodes into loads of different people and characters. The translation I’m listening to was pretty janky too.
