I am amazed at the amount of information that Annie Nelson provided in this book about thru-hiking the Superior Hiking Trail (SHT)! I loved her bravery to hike by herself with her dog--wow! She goes into lots of tiny details to help any future hikers! I'm always impressed with the positivity and generosity of people involved in the same hobby! It's so wonderful to hear good, heartwarming stories about people helping each other while we in the midst of this pandemic and the rioting that is happening in 2020. This is a must-have book for anyone thinking of spending a lot of time on the SHT and especially for a thru-hike! How great that the community surrounding the trail are all so willing to be helpful to hikers! I loved her side stories about the details of her hike and it inspires me to find more books from authors that go into the details of some big thru-hikes! I loved "Wild" and "A Walk in the Woods" and I see that there are a bunch on Amazon to consider for future reading! Nice job on this book, Annie!

Planning a summer adventure. This should be useful for some elements that many hiking guides overlook (super specific tips and contact info, store details all along the way, etc), but it’s more of a supplement than a full guide. Excited to bring parts of this along for the hike.

The middle section with all the locations could've been an appendix in the back.
