J.P. Comeau has just released a beautifully designed romance and it has such amazingly crafted characters, I am confident that you will most definitely be completely enthralled from beginning through to the end.

Lead singer of Vaporized, Alejandro, is taking a break after his concert, when he comes face to face with his future, in the lovely form of Abigail. To him, she is urethral and like nothing he's ever seen before. She might be a dedicated college student but even she knows who the insanely talented singer is.... and he is talking to her! I truly enjoyed everything about this publication and to be honest, I was completely addicted all the way through this exquisite romance. While I do try very hard never to give away any part of the plot so that I do not ruin it for reader's, I implore you to pick up this book and consider yourself as lucky as I have to have discovered the talent J.P. possesses.

I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Heart Strings in exchange for my honest opinion and I highly recommend reading this book as well as anything written by Ms. Comeau.

There is everything to love about this release and I look forward to her next book.

Way too short. It has some tremendous themes (music) and settings (Miami and New Orleans).
I was irritated by Sierra. I would think Al's security or manager could of moved her out. That just seemed silly. And she turned out to be a non-issue anyways (little drama).
I did like Al and Abigail's view of their time in Miami...sounded delightful. The time in New Orleans was fun to read about as well.
The whole book was too well written to have been this short. It's like the author was hurrying to make a few dollars on a short book when the voodoo or more of an Irish American girls college experience could of been expanded. Al's parents and their culture could of also been explored.

It boils down to girl wants one dream and boy enlarges her dream...without much growth or expanding of that singular theme.

So I can't wait to read more of this author but I'm looking first to see if over 150 pages minimum.

This extremely well written book draws you in until it feels like you need to slap someone in case they didn't get the drift. A beautifully crafted story with more than all the feels, toe curling chemistry with the hero & unlikely heroine. Loved the spark, the romance, the respect for their respective craft & talent, such a great read I highly recommend.
I received an ARC & this is my honest & voluntary review.

What is one destined to due is it something you have done since birth that has been in your DNA, or so you think. Is this the way we live our lives or does fate play a part different than what we think fate is. Abigail O'Connor has always known that she is destined to be a concert pianist. Her great-grandmother had been a famous concert pianist who gave all her music books to Abigail, along with her something else...her spirit. Until she graduates from Tulane University, she earns some money playing the piano in a downtown bar. Alejandro Devera is the lead singer and guitarist for the band Vaporized, but he had his musical beginnings as a pianist. He is listening as Abigail plays and is drawn to the beautiful music she's creating and has to see her. She's annoyed that a customer has the nerve to take up her space, but then he sits down to play and it's beautiful. She finally realizes who he is and is taken aback that such a Rock Star as he is would take up time with her. This story was written well the plot is well defined and because it is well written it is easy to read. I was driven by all types of emotions for Al and Abigail. I love that they decided to get to know one another personally and that they decided to give a relationship a try even though it seems impossible because he is a Rock Star that tours all over the country and she is graduating Tulane University and her fate is to be a famous concert pianist for the Philharmonic Orchrestra their in New Orleans. But maybe fate has a twist for them both. I would recommend this. By the way I would also recommend the other two spring fling stories from J.P. Comeau: Dirty Assignment and Lovesick

Abigail plays the piano she is studying music history at Tulane University she works in a bar in the French Quarter playing the piano and she was good at it, Abigail is auditioning for the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra but she needs to perfect three songs to stand a chance. Alejandro ( Al ) is the lead singer and guitarist of the rock band Vaporized he’s never fully sober when he does a performance and even though they are on tour this is their first gig in New Orleans at the Mardi Gras. Once the band had finished their concert Al was exhausted he didn’t want to go out with the boys he just wanted to go somewhere quiet for a few drinks so the limo driver took him to a bar in the French Quarter. Sitting down near the band Al heard the beautiful tones of the piano playing and the beautiful woman that was playing it. When Abigail finished Al went and sat on the stool and started playing the piano, Abigail was about to throw him off when he played such beautiful notes and when he finished Al threw his hoodie back and Abigail gasped she recognised Al he’s the rockstar from the band Vaporized. After the club shut Al and Abigail sat in his limo talking all night then Al took her home and asked for Abigail’s no, but there’s only one problem with all of this Al has a girlfriend at home waiting for him but he doesn’t love her and he’s tried to dump her a few times but she starts to cry and Al feels sorry for her. This is an amazing story and my favourite genre and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

A love story of a humble woman who is in search for a fate that she believes her great grandmother set out for her as a famous concert pianist and a rock star. Abigail truly believes that her great grandmother’s spirit is guiding her to be this famous pianist as she was once, but right before her audition, she meets Alejandro, a Cuban Rockstar. He believes that fate brought them together but needs to convince her of it. At the time he meets her, he realizes that she is what he needs to move on in life as lately it had been with a woman that was cheating on him and very manipulating.

I loved that this book talked about different cultures and views on Voodoo plus the addition of the Spanish language was a major plus. It is pretty hot when a man knows to speak a different language especially one of that makes every word sound lovable. This book dealt primarily with Abigail, but Zoe played part in it, it would have been nice to have some mention of Aiden as it is Zoe’s new love that she met at the ball. I am hoping that the next book is about Maggie and if it is, that somehow a marriage takes place and/or it incorporates all three of them with their new mates.

Abby has always felt that she was destined to follow in her great grandmother's footsteps and become a great concert pianist. One night when she was working during Mardi Gras she is surprised to find Alejandro Devera sitting at her piano bench. She sits down beside him and they play a duet making her night all that much better. When she was done for the night she found that he had waited for her. Alejandro was drawn to Abby even though he is technically involved with someone. They end up spending the night talking and exchange numbers before parting. Abby doesn't think that she'll ever hear from Alejandro again so imagine her surprise when he calls her later the next day. They connect so well that after spending the day with him she agrees to spend her spring break with him. Will he be able to break free of his girlfriend? Can he convince Abby that they can be together?

This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter. The chemistry between them sizzles with each turn of the page. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Good NA college Romance

Heart Strings by J.P Comeau book 2 in the Spring Fling series. This is about 3 college roommate best friends

I gave this book 4 stars. I definitely enjoyed this book more then book 1. This story is about Abigail who is studying to be a pianist at the University, she is also applying for the position in the orchestra. She's a great classical pianist. Abby meets Alejandro at her part-time job, he is the lead singer in his band, also play guitar. They are very popular ( whom she loves) they quickly developed a friendship-negotiations. He kind of hires her to get rid of his current ex-girlfriend that's cheated on him, but won't leave him or his house.
After a week of Spring break, and having fun feelings begin to develop!
This was a light, quick read rockstar/college NA romance with some emotional parts, good characters, his family was awesome, and her connection to her gram's added something special to the storyline. We also had some steamy chemistry with the main characters.
Not a cliffhanger, and can be read as a standalone. The ending could have been a little bit more detailed with an epilogue maybe?!
Overall I enjoyed this book though 😉

While I do not usually read stories about "rock stars" or college students, I like J.P. Comeau so I decided to give this one a try. I have to say, I was glad I did. Often times, "rock star" themes have a lot of drugs and partying in them that can detract from a true romance story. Heart Strings mentions drugs in passing but the story focuses on Alejandro and Abigail - separately and together. Alejandro is in one of the most popular bands in the country and their tour happens to take them to New Orleans where Abigail is a student. They meet, spend time together, and then it's time for Alejandro to return home - where he has a girlfriend. Abigail is smitten, but she is smitten with the real Alejandro, not the rock star. He finds that he likes the way Abigail is also real: smart, determined to finish her degree, not fawning over the "public Al." I was happy to find that Comeau did a nice job of writing about two people who find each at a time when they may not realize that they need each other.

Abigail, was into classical music and taking a music degree at Tulane University. She was also a member of a seniority along with her two best friends, Zoe and Maggie. She also played at a bar as a part-time job. Alejandro was in the successful band Vaporized and a not so successful long term relationship. After a successful performance he wants to unwind and wanders into the bar Abigail is playing at. He approaches her and she is star struck, he too was in taken with her.

This is a steamy contemporary romance. The story is easy to read and pulls at your heart strings. The love of music and for each other Is inspiring. The carefully crafted and interesting characters make you want them to be together. There is emotional drama as the characters experience internal struggles and external obstacles. The heated scenes work well within the story, adding to it rather than distracting from it. This is a good romance with some heat.

J.P. Comeau has outdone hetself with this installment.
Abigail has only one goal in mind after graduation, to become a concert pianist for the orchestra in Louisiana. She is set that it is her fate.
Alejandro is the lead singer and guitarist of the rock band Vaporized. After his last performance at Mardi Gras he decides to go to a different bar than his bandmates. Thete he finds Abigail in all het glory playing the piano.
This was a beautifully written love story with a few bumps in the road. I love how the author put in parts of beliefs both Catholic and the New Orleans Voodoo culture. They worked well together! The storyline is wonderful and sweet, yet also sexy. I definitely recommend this book for your TBR.

Abigail's O’Conner dream is to play piano for the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra but fate throws a spanner in the works when she has a chance meeting with Alejandro Devera ( the Rockstar) lead singer for the notorious rock band Vaporize. he needs a change in his life and he is dealing with a cheating girlfriend who is also extremely manipulative He offers Abigail a job and the chance to be his fake girlfriend so helping him out what she doesn't know is that he pland on making their engagement all so real.

This is a wonderful story that handles the question pf fate throws in a little bit of voodoo and is basically a story of love between two people not between a rock star and a student altogether a great read

Between rock and classic
This is a good description of this story, with Alejandro, a rock band singer who approaches Abigail, a piano concert student, when she plays jazz at work one night in a bar ...
They appreciate each other and to finally get rid of his ex squatting his house, Alejandro asks Abby to be his fake girlfriend, although he knows that it will never be a false relationship. But Abigail's dreams are not really compatible with Alejandro's life.
It is a good short story, simple, but well written and which kept my attention.

This is the story of Abigail, a senior at Tulane University, who meets Alejandro, the lead singer of a successful rock band, while playing the piano in a jazz group in a New Orleans bar. After the bar closes, Abigail and Alejandro talk until daylight, then spend the afternoon taking in St Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square. After a fun-filled day, Alejandro invites her to Miami for spring break.
This author gives the reader a steamy romance and well-defined characters wrapped in a well-written book. The issues of different goals and a long distance relationship are wrapped up nicely in an HEA ending.

Two Making Beautiful Music
by Korkoi

This book is very entertaining. Alejandro and Abigail are as unlikely a couple, as you could imagine. He is the famous, rich, Rock God, with women falling at his feet and she is the plain Jane, concert pianist student, who has to work to pay for college. She agrees to help him finally get rid of an ex, but things get complicated as they always do. It is a well written storyline, that keeps you captivated, as you turn the pages and go through their trials and tribulations. I guarantee you will not be disappointed, if you read book one and two in the series.

Heart Strings. This was a sweet romance story. It joined two people from different worlds into one. Abigail thought her destiny was to be a concert pianist and play for the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. She meets Alejandro who is the lead singer of the rock band Vaporized. They form a relationship that Abigail ends abruptly because she is sure they can't be together because of the different types of music they play. Abigail believes fate will give her what she wants but does it? Heart Strings is the 2nd book in the Spring Fling Series and is way better the first. I did like the first one but this one is more in Ms. Comeau's style; it moves along at a faster pace and has way more heat. The characters are an unlikely pairing but they are well written and easy to care about. It is a Great short read. I finished it in less than a day, of course, I didn't want to put it down. I look forward to the rest of the series. I have read all of Ms. Comeau's books thus far and I am a true Comeau fangirl.

Are we really destined to do what we think fate prepared for us?

This one really touched the strings of my heart. Very well paced plot with story line thought through perfectly. Likeable characters and one villain girlfriend. Everything seams like in a fairytale and seems simple and romantic. But what happens when the distance come into equation of this freshly formed relationship? Are we really destined for what we think we are? Is fate what it seems like to be? Will two of the main characters find their way to be together or will this one end without happy ever after?
I very much enjoyed this story set out in the time of spring brake. Fast paced story with unexpected twist and even greater ending.

Well-written, intriguing story of the rockstar who realized the glory of fame was not all to life, and the college student who believed she should be a concert pianist because it was her fate. Could they find their happiness together or not. I highly recommend this book. The series is awesome. I can't wait for the third book.

A Very Romantic Story

A very romantic story with a few bumps along the way. The main male character and the main female changes had a synergy almost from the get go of meeting. They connected on another plain as a result of their musical interests. A unique romance story that flowed along well and was easy to read. There could have been more depth to the story, with Ms. Comeau going into more detail about the main female character and her belief in Voodoo, as well as Catholicism.

Abigail is a music student who wants to become a pianist for the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. She meets Alejandro, a famous rock star, on Mardi Gras. He is immediately attracted to her skill on the piano and her beauty. The book keeps the reader wondering how these two will be able to find a compromise with different career goals.
