You can probably catch her huddled up in a hoodie, reading a good romance beneath a tree with her trusty husky by her side. She enjoys roller derby, sushi, and is always searching for her forever bad boy.
This is my first time reading a sports romance and damn it if I’m not hooked…now another genre and author to follow. Plus I found out what “incentives” to use to get someone to try their hardest. Junior Morgan was a college hotshot quarterback who had his pick of the victory hoes which didn’t make much sense because the team he played for sure didn’t win many games. Junior didn’t care and neither did his ladies because even though his team didn’t produce on the field Junior had his eyes set on the big time which he could do because he was that damn good. It was a good break for Junior and not so good a break for his coach when the coach died and in walks none other than the famous ex-NFL star Carey Pierce to take over coaching the team. Now this coach was going to get him places; namely a roster spot on an NFL team. Coach Pierce had heard of Junior and was going to make him his pet project and take this boy to the top along with getting this football program some respect. There was one rule that Coach Pierce gave to the football team and that was stay away from his daughter. How was horn dog Junior going to do that because once he laid eyes on Eliza Pierce the only thing he thought of was adding her to his long list of ladies. Was it worth risking his chance at the big time he knew Coach Pierce could take him to…hell yeah!
Eliza wasn’t a push over by any means. She wanted Junior as much as he wanted her but there was no way that Eliza was going to let Junior know that. And did that girl know how to handle the smooth talking Junior! I loved the hoops that Junior had to jump through in order to get Eliza in bed. Once they finally connected the further incentives that Eliza offered to Junior in order to further their hot sex, had him reaching farther than he even realized both on the football field and in the classroom. It’s amazing what incentives could get you to accomplish. One of the hardest part of these hookups was keeping it secret so Junior would be able to keep his football dream alive and for Ellie to stay in the good graces of her dad.
Besides sneaking around were Junior and Ellie able to keep any real feelings for each other out of this little game they had going on in the bedroom and was Junior able to resist all of his victory hoes once his team did start winning and making their way to the championship? What were some of the hang-ups that Eliza had because of her famous football father and how did they affect her feelings for Junior? As I said before I am now a sports romance follower all because of this book and this author. It was full of some pretty hot sex between these two and it had me not wanting to put it down.
This book was provided as an ARC from the author for an honest review.
I will admit it , I wanted to hate the user football player Junior, but I just could not because he just keeps turning out to be a good guy, perhaps though Eliza has a little bit to do with that! I'm jumping ahead though. Junior Morgan is the sexy quarterback for his College team , with dreams of going pro and the ability to charm just about any college girl into his Junior Mobile for a one night stand. Though he may have mad skills being n a loosing team is not going to get him a slot in the NFL, but when their coach passes on and the college brings in a New coach, a former NFL player ; Cary Pierce , junior childhood idol things start to look up ! The new coach has on,y three specific rules: "Hit the gym hard five times a week. Don’t fuel your body with crap. And…” . “Stay away from my daughter.” The last rule for Junior is going to prove to be impossible , because having just met her and felt the immediate attraction that seems mutual Junior can think of nothing else.
When ElizA moved with her father from New York with his promise to pay for her college education his only requirement was to stay away from the football players , which at the time Eliza figured no problem , why would she want to spend anytime with a bunch of guys probably like her father, egotistical, never home cheaters .But Junior Madison may prove to be a challenge . Junior devotes himself to chasing Eliza, with the goal of getting her in his bed and under him, but Eliza is not his usual college girl she shoots him down , but she really does not want to so she starts setting bars or incentives , win the game junior and we can go on a date. The incentives become more intimate and some were along the way these two discover themselves in a relationship they are actively hiding from her father the coach. Though Eliza has all, that money could buy , her father and mother have never been there for her and oddly Junior from the family who has to work for everything , has not had the same opportunities is their for her more than her own father. But what will happen father forces Junior to choose between a career in football or his own daughter?
Wonderful romance ; one I did not want to put down! Arc Graciuosly supplied by author for honest review .
Ahhh this had promise but again it only got better then to end at 40%. I actually almost gave up in didn't seen much story aside from the copious amounts of sex scenes and the last I wanted to see what happened. To find myself at the epilogue. I realize this is another not popular review that's very different but yeah I saw sports romance and gave it a go. It was entertaining at least.
Not a favorite -- but I did think the ending scored well. I almost DNF this one several times, but I just couldn't put it aside -- I'm neither a skimmer or a quitter. Sometimes it might be better for me all the way around though.
Whiplash is a stand alone sports romance by Tabatha Kiss.
Eliza Pierces footy legend father is the new coach in town. He doesn't want her anywhere near the players, but she's never been a 'daddy's girl'. When she comes across Junior Morgan, he thinks he's Gods Gift and that she will be in his bed before she knows it. However, she has much more interesting plans, Let The Game begin.
Junior Morgan, knows the new coaches rules, "Dont go near my daughter", but he's never been really good at following rules and Eliza just seems too much of a temptation. The game she plays is a dangerous one, especially since she has no idea who she is playing with. Bring It On.
I can see exactly why this book is called whiplash. The push and pull between Eliza and Junior was enough to spin your head and the way they kept trying to one up on the other was quite amusing to begin with. The whole jock quarterback player persona follows the typical cliché and it took me a while to get past. Even the retired pro player of a coach/father almost seemed cut from stereotypical a mould too. I am glad that Eliza is more intelligent and respectful of herself and didn't succumb to his player ways so early in the story, which it looked like where the story was headed.
My feelings whilst reading this suffered from a bit of whiplash too. At times, it was so cliched and stereotypical but then came back and redeemed itself. In the end it was an enjoyable book and I must admit that I did have the most stupidest grin on my face during some of the scenes, bloody romantic that I am, lol.
Both Eliza and Junior had more layers to their characters the more the story progressed and I did enjoy watching them grow as individuals and as a couple. My only request would have been to getting some closure or more insight into Where the relationship between Eliza and her father ended up. Apart from that, a fairly good story hovering somewhere between typical pro jock hopeful story and a sweet romantic becoming an adult story.
I received this for a honest review. This truly was a great book. This story truly had a deep meaning and I truly love stories like that.
Eliza was Coach Clay Pierce’s daughter. I actually felt sorry for her. She was one that felt like her father truly never wanted her. Her father wanted a son. A son that he could mold and make into a spiting image of him. This truly bothered Eliza.
Junior Morgan was the star quarterback. He wanted so badly to go pro. He was excited to hear that his hero Clay Pierce was going to be their knew coach. The coach had some rules and one of those rules was to say away from his daughter. Junior was the type of guy that did not like to be told what to do so you can only imagine how well that went.
Junior was a player and Eliza got to hear all about it from her best friend. Eliza could not help but feel this attraction to Junior. She knew that her father had wanted to her to stay away from his players, but there was just something about Junior.
Junior and Eliza will have some important decisions to make. The question is how will Junior react if he has to chose between Eliza or his career? This book is about how things do not go according to plan. Life throws us obstacles and causes us to have to decide what is more important in life. Not all the time people make the right decision but there are occasions where some do.
I was not crazy about Eliza’s father. I found him a bitter person. He truly treated Eliza poorly. I did however love Junior’s parents and sister. This story shows you can be brought up with money but money does not buy happiness. It is about how if you have a supportive family and a family that loves you then you are truly richer then someone brought up with money.
I enjoyed reading Whiplash, I felt bad for Liza she's coach Clay Pierce's daughter, she always knew her father wanted a son he made it well known. Junior Morgan was the star quarterback, He's always wanted to go pro, he found out that Clay Pierce was going to be their knew coach he was happy about it but at the same time he knew with that came rules that coach wanted him to say away from his daughter. Junior never like to be old what to do so knew he had to stay away but Liza made it hard for him. Her father told her to stay away from the players but there was something about Junior that she could seem to stay away. I was sucked into this story I don't think I could stay away from Junior. This is one of those books that I would not mind reading again and again 5 stars for me
Whiplash: A Sports Romance by Tabatha Kiss Tabatha Kiss scored a touchdown with Whiplash. Quarterback, Junior Morgan knows his new coach has three simple rules: Hit the gym hard five times a week, don’t eat crap, and stay away from his daughter. However, he has no intension of staying away from Eliza Pierce. This contemporary sport romance is appropriate for new adults.
I loved Whiplash. The characters were likeable and believable. Junior is your typical player. That is until he meets Eliza. He is persistent and thoughtful. Eliza is the inconvenient daughter of coach Cary Pierce. She never felt loved by her parents. Sent away to boarding school but now needed to help her father’s image. The two characters are defiant and have great chemistry. I love their verbal banter. Eliza does not make Junior's life easy that is for sure. I thought it was cool that four-time pro-football champion Cary Pierce felt he was no one in college and had a coach who believed in him, so he wanted to return the favor by coaching a similar team. That being said, he was a jerk. I also liked Ty Fisher and Grant. They are good friends to Junior and Eliza and make a great couple.
I enjoyed the plot. It had some interesting conflicts and was well resolved. I love Junior and Eliza’s first date. Junior has a great family. I loved his sister. I adored the ending. This is a great read for people that enjoy sports romances. This is the first book I read by Tabatha Kiss. It will not be the last. She has a fantastic writing style.

I sure do heart me some sports romances and this one is pretty high on my favorites list now! We begin reading this novel with our main characters who are VERY different people. Junior Morgan is the quarterback of the university's football team and is used to getting exactly who and what he wants. Eliza Pierce is the daughter of the school's new football coach who made it big in pro-football, but she doesn't like sports and finds herself in the theater.
Eliza's dad explicitly tells Junior to steer clear of his daughter from the beginning...we all know how well that's going to go over.... Then begins a forbidden love affair of push and pull, and taking turns being cat and mouse.
Junior is of course as cocky as you would expect ;) Eliza was also a pretty strong and independent character on her own, which is a definite plus! I loved how much chemistry these two had, it shot straight off the screen of my laptop!
Whiplash was extremely well-written, and I couldn't have asked for a better story, even if I had written it myself! Bottom-line is that this is a great read word every second invested in it! If sports romances are your thing, then you sure won't be disappointed!
Great Romance Story that is about Junior Morgan & Eliza Pierce. Junior is a college hotshot quarterback who can sleep with any woman on campus and he avails himself every chance he gets. Thing is, he has actually fallen for the one woman who is forbidden to him- his coach’s daughter, Eliza. He realizes he cant nor wont stay away from coach’s daughter which sets up the forbidden and sensual dance/relationship between them. Also we get to read about college football and how Junior is on the fast track and his career plans in that arena. I enjoyed reading how these lovers overcame the odds defied everyone to end up together. It’s the getting together that ruled this story- the passion, angst, action, romance and HEA. Eliza was one strong woman- she came from not having a family to having one in the end. Junior’s family is a trip and I loved them. I would love to read more about his family in more books. I do not know much about football but this book made it easy to follow long ; the MC and the supporting cast of characters were right on track and made me invest in the stories. Another hit by this author, one I highly recommend.
My rating: 4.5 stars ***** **I was given an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review***
I'd like to say that this author has broken a repetitive YA-romance-bullshit-weakass-pathetic-brainless heroine streak that EVERY SINGLE AUTHOR SEEMS TO LOVE WRITING IN THEIR BOOKS; and I couldn't be happier.
This is a cat and mouse story between the popular football guy (the team sucks though) and the coaches daughter. Now, I'm being quite generous with my rating for this story specifically because I love the fact that the author gave this heroine a fucking backbone and a brain.
Sum Cap: Popular jock wants coaches daughter, daughter wants jock, cat and mouse game is played for a good while, both characters are immature and stubborn but they're hilarious too. Coach wants none of the players around his daughter, the truth comes out, fights break out, hearts are broken anddddd in the end..... HEA? Did she piss me off at all? Why of course she did. But all around, she was a pretty cool chick. Only thing I didn't like at first was the fact that she gave in a little too soon for my liking between her and the hero AND she seemed to be confused with what the hell she wanted a couple times which is aggravating.
And sadly, typical. Either you want the sausage king or you don't. It's very simple. It only becomes complicated when you're playing games.
Anyway, the humor aspects in this book and the H / h was a fun relationship, silly moments that had me chuckling several times. The idea for this story line had potential but it fell flat. It was boring for the most part until the very end of the story.
There was plenty of moments where character connection could've been more developed as well as just overall storyline dynamic. But each opportunity was passed with bare minimum scenes. It was boring, nothing really spiked sometimes.
I didn’t connect too well with the story or the characters besides the heroine.
This is a very quick, light sports romance with no immense depth or a captivating plot. But as a quick read that’s simplistic and easy to roll with, you’ll enjoy it.
Highlights and notes included.
Did I like it? Eh, yeah. Will I read it again? No. Would I recommend it? No. Am I giving up on this Author? No. What am I eating for dinner? Hm, I'm thinking hot wings.
Junior Morgan may slay the ladies but he's met his match in his new coach (and childhood idol)'s off limits daughter, Eliza Pierce.
He's a cocky athlete who has never been serious with anyone. He just plays the field. And this year he hopes to make his mark on the field since they now have a star coach.
He doesn't expect that his stellar performance may be more because he's getting extra help from the coach's hard to get daughter. Eliza not only captivates and captures this player's interest, but she improves his focus on and off the field. And he shows her that she comes first.
Hot, witty, sweet, and I said hot, right? Loved Junior and Eliza. Our supporting cast were an added bonis with Grant, Ty, and Maggie.
I actually remember reading this book awhile ago and I really loved it. Junior and Eliza were such great characters I couldn't get enough of. Tabatha always knows how to write a great sports romance.
Loved the ending! And the fact that this author actually had her character really consider her options when it came to an unexpected pregnancy rather than just skirt around abortion like it's forbidden.
My problems with this book include all the clichés and writing errors. From fused sentences to comma splices, random capitalisation of words after an ellipsis, and (extra/) spacing between em dashes and words.
All of Tabatha's stories are "unputdownable" for me and I really loved this one. I usually try not to read stories with characters in college, but I appreciated this one.
Of course to make it more interesting, Junior and Eliza come across as star-crossed lovers since both of them were forbidden by Eliza's dad. There's the excitement of sneaking out and what would happen afterwards. Would they end up together?
I read on and I'm not a football fan but it didn't diminish the storyline. Junior really improved in all aspects. Being with Eliza, he's not a sl*t anymore, he actually cares about his grades and he was really interested in Eliza and her activities (acting).
I guess I could say that there's true love at work because at a young age, Junior decided what he wants in life, or rather, who he wants and it's Eliza. They had good and bad times, he really didn't give up on her and it was really sweet.
Junior's family is what Eliza needed, after growing up without a family. Technically she's not an orphan but she might as well have been, not feeling love from both parents, each one has his or her own interests.
This is a good story where all characters redeem themselves.
I did not like the beginning at all. I was almost going to DNF it. Junior was a womaniser and Ellie didn't have much resistance against him. But then it changed. It got intimate, sweet and made me sappy. I loved the way they fell in love. Slowly... without them realising it. And the best part: there was no rotten drama. It was amazing. And the sex, dear God. MINDBLOWINGLY HOT!
You know that happy-giddy feeling you get when you read a good book? Yep, I had it with this book. My advice: stick with the book for at least 50%.
Arc review For honest review. Junior and Eliza meets when her father come to junior's school for football .these characters make me laugh and I love how they both are so in love they are inseparable. Great read.
There is nothing more intoxicating to me than a forbidden romance, so I got a pure adrenaline rush when I dove into WHIPLASH by Tabatha Kiss, a standalone sports romance about a hunky quarterback who tumbles headfirst into love for the coach’s daughter. This book is hot and sexy and sweet and flirty all at the same time!
The premise is utterly delightful:
Star Quarterback Junior Morgan could not believe his eyes when the team comes face to face with their new coach. It was none other than Cary Pierce. THE Cary Pierce. Four time pro football champion, a man he’d idolized since he was ten years old. A coach whose poster had been hanging on his bedroom wall, for heaven’s sake! He’d been hired to whip the team into shape because they’d been on a horrible losing streak for the last couple of years. The team’s morale was at an all-time low and Coach Pierce was determined to bolster their spirits and to transform these losers into champions. The only stipulation? He had three simple rules that MUST be followed:
1) “Hit the gym hard five times a week." 2) “Don’t fuel your body with c**p.” 3) “Stay away from my daughter.”
Rules one and two were a cinch to abide by. But rule number three? Um…not so much. Following instructions isn’t Junior’s strongest suit, especially after he catches a glimpse of the beautiful Eliza Pierce’s delicious curves, saucy grin and shimmering blue eyes. She is the prettiest girl he’s ever laid eyes on and she does funny things to his insides. But she is playing hard to get. Bigtime!
“That dress. That body. Those eyes. There’s not a single part of her right now that I wouldn’t kill to touch or kiss or flat-out destroy. I saw the way she looked at me. I saw that subtle twitch of her lips —like she’s starving for food and just saw a defenseless animal walk right into her trap. She wanted me to look at her, to notice her, to want her. There’s a word for this and I’m more than happy to enlist. War.”
She challenges and taunts and teases and arouses him at every turn. Junior is a player in every sense of the word, a hit it and quit kind of guy, but she ain’t playing by his rules. She has more self-respect than that and does not want be just another notch in Junior Morgan’s dirty van floorboards. If he wants her, he is gonna have to work for it!
And so the games begin.
“She’s dangling herself in front of me again, toying with my hunter instincts just to whip it away at the last second and laugh at me.” He wants to please her, make her proud, ravish her from head to toe. But she doesn’t have time for losers. As she so eloquently states: “My p***y is loser-free zone, Junior. Win the game on Saturday and you just might qualify for admission!!!”
And boy does she give him plenty of juicy “incentive” to shine on the field and off. There chemistry is undeniable but their dalliance is forbidden and could destroy all his plans for the future. Junior knows he should steer clear because if he sticks to the game plan everything beyond his wildest dreams will be in the palm of his hands. He just needs to stay focused and forget about distractions. Distractions like Eliza Pierce.
So does he do the smart thing and heed the coach’s stern warning? Of course not! What fun would that be? But what started as a clandestine no-strings-attached hookup sans emotions where “I scratch her back, she scratches mine” turns into something both neither counted on. True love. But it could all come crashing down at any moment. As his teammate and best buddy Ty cautions: “There’s having fun with girls and then there’s having fun with Cary Pierce’s daughter. Only one of those things will get you kicked off the football team.” Is love worth forfeiting his golden ticket for going pro? And will sweet, feisty, adorable Eliza end up being collateral damage?
I enjoyed this book immensely! It is hot and sexy and oodles of fun!! The best part of this book was the cat and mouse chase that ensues and the fiery battle of wills between “Ellie” and Junior. Their sparkling chemistry was absolutely captivating and kept me eagerly turning the pages! I really loved both these characters…they just clicked so well together. Junior is utterly STUDALICIOUS and everything you imagine a star quarterback to be: Big, broad shouldered, infuriatingly arrogant, and oozes testosterone. He is all sexy swagger at first and comes off as a real player, but as the hardened layers slowly peel away we come to see that deep down he is just such a sweet, caring, funny and charming guy. He just hadn’t met the right woman yet. Until Eliza. She takes him down a peg or two, rightly so, and gives as good as she gets. Junior’s hot pursuit of Ellie and the slow buildup to the main event was scintillating and I thought it was refreshing and empowering that she had too much self-respect to “put out” straight away.
Growing up as the neglected daughter of a “narcissistic womanizer” she refuses to be taken advantage of by one now. “You’re all dirty, cheating, lying scoundrels. And you break hearts just as fast.” She takes immense pleasure in pushing his buttons, dangling herself in front of him, and while at first it drives him nuts and gives him a horrible case of blue balls, in the end it ends up being a huge motivator. No one has ever turned him down before, made him work so hard for it, but Eliza is well worth the effort. “A quickie in the pool house might be enough for most girls,” she says, holding my eyes. “I’m an all night long kind of lady.”
But holy smokes, when Junior finally “scores!” it is well worth the wait! Their sex scenes are fire engine hot. And plentiful! But beyond the smoldering encounters, one-upmanship, and naughty innuendos is an endearing NA love story about two college kids who bring out the best in each other. She "coaches" him on how to work hard, to believe in himself, and what it means to be a REAL champion, while he gives her the unconditional love and support she never got from her family.
“Every time I was sure he’d give up and forget about me, he came back to prove me wrong. I gave him the right incentive to succeed. Now, he’s giving the same to me.”
There is nice character/romantic development in the story, the plot flows at a brisk pace and there are some heartwrenching twists and turns along the way that got me welled up a time or two. And even though I am not a sport aficionado, I thought the football sequences were breathtaking!! And the ending is pitch perfect!!! So if you are looking for a fun, flirty, hot and sexy “feel-good” sports romance that will leave you with a great big goofy grin on your face, WHIPLASH is guaranteed to score a touchdown!

This one was free on Amazon. I love books of manhore jocks that find their true love. I don't know why but I do. This is one of those books. Here we have Junior that is attracted to coach's daughter and against his coach's rules he goes after her. Eliza, knowing that he is a player gives him insentives (i.e. if you win the next game, I'll let you bla bla) to not only help him achieve his goals but keep him close to her longer. It works just fine, when the inevitable happens. Father finds out. The book was predictable but I didn't care. It flew just fine and I didn't have to skip or jump pages (besides, the sex scenes were good). My only problem was Eliza at the first 30%. OMG I did not like her. I didn't even want her to end up with Junior. She was so sure for herself that he will stay around because, and I quote "If he doesn't get me, he'll die. That's how badly he wants me...". These thoughts are not even during sex. WTF woman?!!!! She just sounded so overly confident that I wanted her to not have her HEA. BUT, what I loved was that Junior had the same reaction as I did. For instance, she did something and I thought well, if I was him I wouldn't be interested anymore. And what do you know!!! Junior told her the same thing. I loved that Junior wasn't blind from lust/love to not see it. Anyway, after 30% Eliza stoped acting like that and stoped irritating the hell out of me. I was in the mood for a college/sexy jock/ dirty sex book and I got it. Not five stars because of Eliza.
Junior Morgan had everything he thought he wanted: Quarter Back, all the ladies he could dream of and endless amount of parties. He had thought he had everything until he realized everything he had meant nothing unless he had someone who believed in him. His Team was far from exceptional and no one expected them to ever qualify for Nationals or hell even win 2 games in a row. After the death of their Coach they are floored by the chance to have a famous NFL Player step up to be their Coach and to mold them into the Winners he knew were. It wasn't the NFL Star Coach who made Junior realize his potential and open his eyes to everything his future could hold but Eliza the Coachs Daughter.
Junior grew so much throughout this book and the Man he became makes me say without a second though he is my newest member of my Book Boyfriend Club! When a Man steps up and Stands up for those in his life no matter the consequences there is nothing sexier.
Eliza was a breath of fresh air - she was No Blushing Virgin. She knew what she wanted. She didn't let some College Football Star play her because he may be a Player but she showed him who was the Coach in the bedroom.
Whiplash was a pleasant surprise and I am happy to say it was filled with actual Football which this Sports Fan always craves in her Sports Romances!
I enjoyed this book, but some events felt a bit sudden.
Junior was such a cocky playboy at the beginning, so used to getting whatever he wanted from girls without really working for it. It was actually kind of off-putting, the way he so openly treated girls as disposable. But Eliza really stood up to him and showed him who was boss. However, his actions at the start didn't make it super realistic because I doubt any girl would've gone near him if he had acted like that in real life, especially because he didn't seem like that much of a hotshot, as the failing college quarterback!
Eliza's move after their first date was so good, it was the point I thought she had a backbone but then she went straight back to him! Yes, she made him work for it but the change happened so quickly, she hated him one minute and wanted to teach him a lesson and the next she was giving him incentives! The saving grace was when Junior realised what a good thing he had with her and then pulled his act together, but even that came out of nowhere, he just sort of woke up and realised he liked her. The ending did help make up for it too, so sweet!
I will read the next in the series just to see more about the other players, but really I want a book from Ty and Grant!
The chemistry between Eliza and Junior kept me turning pages just wanting to know what was going to happen next. These characters didn’t delve straight into a forbidden romance instead engaging in a battle of wills and torment as Eliza prolonged Junior’s pursuit of her making this story much more entertaining. It’s not only the main characters that really grab your attention in this book though, the friendship between Eliza and Grant left a smile on my face anytime the two of them were in a scene together (Grant honestly needs his own book), Junior’s friend Tyler becomes very interesting as the book continues (I just wish we saw him a little more) and it really didn’t take long for me to start to really dislike Eliza’s dad but he does begin to redeem his actions near the end and Junior’s family were brilliant. The epilogue taking place 5 years later shows you just how far the characters have come and some really sweet interactions between characters. Overall, I really enjoyed this book, both it’s characters and story line combine to create a sweet, sometimes sexy and romantic story line that made this book really enjoyable.
This is somewhere between a 4.75 and a 5... and I'll get to my complaints a little later.
First, how can you go wrong with a hot football playing badboy, and a girl who can hold her own... and all for FREE? (5/12/2017)
Second, it's a relatively quick read (or maybe its just that easy to read).
Third, I feel like the writing is relatable. It's not like the characters are saying things out of context; it feels like something college students say-- like things I've heard college students say.
Third and a half-- those sex scenes? {fanning}
Fourthly, and probably one of my favorite things-- the characters; they weren't stupid. They didn't make those classic romance mistakes {Note that Eliza did by not talking to Junior} but I'm really happy that Junior was overall the best!
My only complaints? I felt like their sexual relationship got started a little fast... I mean who does that on their like 3 meet? You haven't even had a date! I also felt like there was something missing between the "end" and the "epilogue." Or maybe that I just didn't have enough?
Eliza and Junior Morgan. What a crazy ride this one was with them. I didn't really like Junior at all initially, thought I wouldn't at all. But that man has done a complete 180 and also where my feelings are concerned. Now I'm so going aww and junior has now melted me completely. Junior is a total manwhore, as most jocks are in college and when he Eliza, it's just another challenge for him. Especially when Eliza is not easy to impress. Eliza has seen her father, the football legend but not an exemplary example of a good father. She has no intention of being just another easy one for junior Morgan. But sparks fly and what starts out casual unknowingly ends being so much more. That last chapter and epilogue, oh my, melted my heart. I never expected such pure love and devotion from junior Morgan but that man has left me pleasantly shocked. I love him now. Loved loved this one.
