The second book is Tabatha Kiss’ Bad Baller series follows John Kirby, the halfback on the university football team, and his chemistry TA Rose. This book is the key piece that connects the first and third books, with the first focusing on John’s teammate Junior, and the third focusing on Rose’s twin sister Daisy. It was a terrific addition to the series, and I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a low angst, easy summer sports romance!
John Kirby is a player. The book starts off with him making a bet with another guy on his college football team. Whichever person can complete the trifecta first by sleeping with a freshman, an alumni, and a teacher, wins. The minute John sees Rose, his chemistry TA, he knows that this she is the perfect teacher for the challenge.
Rose is a graduate student who is obsessed with football. Despite her attracted to John, she knows he is completely off-limits, as any relationship would cost her, her job.
I loved Rose and John, I thought there chemistry was terrific. The story moved quickly, and was well written, so I was never bored. There was lots of steam, humour, and romance. The plot was pretty predictable, and I knew how the story was going to play out from the very first chapter, but that’s to be expected with this trope. Another plus: it’s available on Kindle Unlimited!
