I liked the cover, so picked up the book and only realized they were a series of inspirational romance stories, once I got into them. This was a new genre for me - and I enjoyed it! Not too heavy at all on the preaching, and I enjoyed the feeling of redemption at the end of every story. We need to find ways to be kinder to each other. More reading like this could certainly help put us in the right frame of mind for it.
I found this book in an antique shop earlier this year, not knowing what to expect. As I began reading, I realized that it was a set of Christian fiction love stories, and it was better than I could have imagined. It gave wholesome, expected love story vibes, and I'm looking forward to reading another book of hers. My only gripe is that I felt that I was missing a lot of details with the very first story and that it ended too quickly.
I saw below where someone else wished to give this 3.5 and I agree. I left satisfied, but I had a hard time finishing the story...a modern family feud is hard to believe and it was emphasized too much, in my humble opinion. I like the spiritual growth and the main characters, but...
I want to give this one 3.5 stars... There are "four distinct novels" in this book. I only read the first two only because it was due at the library and with vacations, etc. I wasn't taking as much time to read. The stories were good but considering how slowly I got through them, I couldn't give four full stars.
Good stories, very intriguing and well written. I didn't necessarily agree with what some of the characters did, but otherwise it was a very engaging book. I think my favorite was Mountain Man.
