Cute but didn't feel as funny or moving forward as late volume.

More of the same really. Was cute to see Uzaki train and then show she knew. And I really liked the ending, the more emotional bits work well and bring some really cute moments. The comedy is hit or miss this volume, with some working well (Love the father) and some not as much (Grabbing titties can only be so funny so many times) but overall it still overall feels more wholesome than sleezy which is nice.

I still want to read more for sure but just wasn't as into it as volume 1. Still good though so a 3 out of 5.

Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!, Vol. 2 (My Kindle Review)

The humorous relationship of Saku and Uzaki just keeps getting more fun and irresistible to read. With summer here, the two begin to spend more time together by going to the beach with friends, a cat cafe and a yukata festival. It really looks like something is sparking between them, while their friends see them as a potential couple. A (100%/Outstanding)

2020 Read #170

Cute but a bit ridiculous at times. I don’t like the boob fascination, but then again I figure that’s a side-effect from the target audience where this manga is serialized in Japan. I’m really curious where the series will go next. I hope it continues to be light and fun.

This is my new guilty pleasure!

I am so in love with this manga. Uzaki is cuter than cute, & sassy too (I love that in a girl). I've got more than one "kouhai" myself, who all happen to be boisterous, busty, & full of smart @$$ remarks (and kinda like sempai, I can't get rid of them... sheesh...). So, I totally relate to Sakurai. Art, great. Dialogue, very good. Characters, believable, likeable, & relatable. If you like slice of life and/or fun rom-com, read this manga. Plus Uzaki in a bikini. I love it! "If you like pina coladas, & getting caught in the rain..."

Not as good as volume 1

Everything from my review of Volume 1 holds true here, but Volume 2 had a few miss steps. The first being the introduction of a Itsuhito a guy friend for Shinichi and I found him annoying. The second aspect that dropped this volume down a star was the whole thing was filled with sexual innuendos that distracted from the main focus of the relationship of Shinichi and Hana. I still had a good time and want to continue the series but I laughed more reading Volume 1.

This is a funny story about a buxom girl and her friend who is introverted. She wants to help him with that. She comes over often and cooks for him and begins to teach him how to cook. There's a school festival, a family meeting and various people and thinking that the two of them will develop a romantic relationship.

The way the whole thing is written is cute. There is no overt sex and the overall question becomes will they or will they not become a couple.

A good improvement from the last volume. The jokes were a bit better, the introduction and involvement of a couple characters made scenes more interesting, and it was less sluggish to read.

It’s enjoyable imo, but still a fairly standard slice-of-life rom-com. All the characters are adults though, which makes for a nice change of pace from the usual high school setting that most rom-com manga seem to be set in. I’ll probably keep reading🤷🏻‍♂️

Uzaki 2

Continuing teasing harassment by Uzaki-kun of clueless Samurai-kun. While it is funny & entertaining, I also find it grating because of Uzaki's pursuit of Sakurai. She is definitely attracted to him and in on a course to seduce him. She plays, innocent, but it come off false to me. I am not fond of hyper aggressive characters. I do like the Art Style and design.

More of a 3.5 star rating;
I like that in this volume we get to see more of Uzaki and Sakurai’s friends, since their interactions together and when meddling with Uzaki and Sakurai were very amusing to see. I also liked that we got to see a bit of progress between Uzaki and Sakurai, even if the pair are still unaware (or in denial) of their feelings for each other.

Very funny

Great volume. The anime stays true to the manga. Really glad I got into this series. I like how its about college people not high school. And neither of the main characters are whiney.

The first volume was better interms of comedy, this volume has its fair share of it, but it's more cutesy one rather than funny.

Decent volume nonetheless.

A comedy of errors but with a decent sense of progression. I quite enjoy seeing the other characters in the story trying to get the main duo to hang out more. I will continue the series.

I’m definitely invested in the future of the story. I did not love the two gratuitous “bonus” ladies at all. Uzaki’s cute and I like that her big boobs are just a part of her body (that sometimes provide comedy) and not all that her character has to offer…However, she is also rather annoying at times. Poor senpai!

So I don’t like this quite as much as the first volume, but it survives on the basis of the excellently written chemistry between the two leads. I could do without the fourth wall breaking, but this series only has one foot in reality anyway.

All this is in direct contrast to the art, which is a LOT more ecchi than the first volume, to its detriment (I know it’s half the point, but literally the first image in this volume is utterly insane).

Overall it’s worthwhile if you don’t mind the ridiculous amount of breast imagery (both in terms of content and size thereof). I don’t think it needed it, I know that’s a selling point for others given the author’s comments, but I’ll stick around for the writing and the quieter moments.

The anime was taken nearly scene for scene from the source material, but I still find myself grasping ideas in the manga that had totally eluded me while watching the show.

This is the volume in which we're introduced to Sakaki-kun & -- while the character sheet makes a point of mentioning that his face is nice, but his personality is not -- I find that he goes a long way towards providing clarification & additional narration to the storyline, especially written.

This was how I learned that Sakurai is not acting the prude out of genuine prudishness, but to protect Hana from scorn & social ridicule. He cares about her, whether he knows how deeply or not, & that became so much more evident after Sakaki was introduced to the plot.

I am really loving this series and I've also realized I love slice of life manga. I'm glad that Senpai is starting to come out of his shell more and be more comfortable spending time with people instead of just hanging out by himself. This is mainly because of Uzaki getting him out of his comfort zone, but as well as his friend, coworker, and boss as well. Can't wait for volume 3!
