Am I crazy to think that this quarterback deserves my V-card?
Chance Atkins… Sexy, tall, and charming. Nothing turns me on like he does. The way he moves on the field with his tight muscular body makes me blush. He was stark naked when I met him for the first time. I mean, who does that, right? I still dream of wrapping my legs around his waist. But now that his career is on the line… I might be stupid to think that he feels the same way. The universe has some cruel plans for us. And he has a decision to make. It’s either me…or his lifelong dream of playing for the NFL.
Well what’s it going to be?

I thought to storyline was interesting. There were a few things in the beginning of the book that were a little off. The was confusion with the sport. At one point I thought our main character played soccer because of the terminology used. Like goalie and kicking a goal. Also at the end of the interview, Chance askedJamie out but the next scene started as if that didn’t happen. Also there were a lot of dream sequences that wee confusing. However after a few chapters the author hit her stride and the story progressed fine. Insta love with an crazy ex and a rival teammate added a little drama. The enemy storyline really didn’t add any strife to the couple it was just there. Ok read.

College football Romance

This is the type of romance that could only happen between the pages of a books. Chance and Jamie are our main characters who essentially experience insta-love. He’s the alpha male who I’m sure managed to beat on his chest while fighting off all comers. She’s the smart upbeat virgin who upon meeting Chance decided he’s the lucky guy to devirginize her.

The had their barriers mostly in the name of the two villains (who were over the top) Lucinda and Ricky. Two of the most selfish idiots ever put on paper. Stalking and outright jealousy fueled their every move. I really didn’t like how the whole thing with Lucinda ended. It was sort of anticlimactic and she just slinked away. You’d have expected more crazy from crazy.

All in all it wasn’t a bad movie. Slightly dirty sex scenes and there should have been at least one discussion about birth control. For a young college stud focused on no distractions that seemed off to me. Dirtier but off. And I have never heard of the male appendage referred to as a “stalk”. I had visions of celery.

Little things about the writer reference to the sport itself also were off. It was as if he wrote the book about soccer and converted it to football (American). Goalie and “score” instead of goal. Little weirdness that you pick up on. It was just a little distracting and took away slightly from the book. Overall good read.

This one started rocky for me. Every couple pages, it seemed like the author changed the sport played. It always said Chance played football but the terminology used sometimes reminded me way more of soccer. After a few chapter however, it was straightened. I feel like, because this was self published, there were mistakes in the storyline that would've been easy to spot by an editor. Things like Chance asking Jamie out after the interview and asking her again a few chapters later. I also felt like a lot of the action was cut short or not entirely explained, especially when it came to Lucinda. The last thing that grated on my nerves was the uses of "synonyms" for the male and female genitalia. I don't have a problem with using different words than penis and vagina all the time, but there is just so many times I could tolerate seeing "member" in the story and I had to draw the line at Jamie describing her pussy as a lemon. Overall, I liked the idea behind the story, even if it was a lot of insta-love, but the execution lacked a little. I'm still on the fence as to if I'll be finishing the series or not.

Chance is an arrogant hotshot quarterback for the college team. Jamie is on the school paper and sent to interview Chance. Chance is trying to get rid of a stalker ex and its when he hangs up from her that he spots Jamie in the stands. When the team tell hers its alright for her to go into the locker room she doesn't expect to find Chance still in the shower. After he finishes up they go to get something to eat while they talk. Sparks fly between them and Chance wants to give her a warning about his crazy ex so if she wants to continue to see him. Jamie is curious about his ex but once she looks her up she gets seriously worried about Chance. Once they start dating someone keeps following them everywhere they go. Will they get the person following them to stop? Will Chance claim Jamie for his own?

This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This was hard to finish. The author confused American football with American soccer in the beginning. The sex scenes were way too drawn out and I skipped over most of them. The first date our heroine, who is a virgin, sticks a breadstick up her hoohaw; just no. There seemed to be way too much “telling” and not enough “showing”. So much more could’ve been done with the storyline had it actually been edited (or just edited better). The premise was good. The execution needs more practice. There was hardly a relationship forged between the main characters besides having sex, and IMO, the excess pages used for intimate scenes would have been better put to use in forging that relationship. I found myself wondering if this was the author’s first manuscript because it seemed as if someone very young had written it.

Jamie is a virgin attracted to the Indianna University's very handsome quarterback. She is a journalist with the school newspaper and has just gotten the go ahead from her editor and the football coach to interview Chance after the game Saturday. That goes very well considering how it started off. In fact, so well, Chance is looking for her contact info on the internet. He calls her and invites her for a Sunday evening date. She has turned in her articles and is on her way to becoming the top sports writer. But Chance has serious ex-girlfriend problems along with teammate fueds which become Jamie's problems. She hanldes them perfectly. This couple is on to bigger and better things! I volunteered this review from an ARC.

Super disappointing. I only read the first couple of chapters but they were so poorly written that I just had to stop. This book needed a proofreader and an editor. The dialogue didn’t flow and there was unnecessary repetition. It was written in dual first person POV and the female character’s mind was a mess. The male character wanted to play for the NFL but didn’t seem concerned that the team trainer could be downplaying an injury just so that he would play in the next game. The biggest issue is that the author couldn’t decide if the primary sport was football or soccer - we’re told he’s a quarterback but there’s mention of the team winning the first three games by at least two goals and the opposing team has a great goalie.

Chance breaks up with Lucinda before school started because he wanted to be celibate during the football season that year. He then meets Jamie when she interviews him for the school paper. All of a sudden he's ready to give up his celibacy and she wants him to be her first. That happens, oh wait they're in love. It takes two seconds to fall in love. Lucinda meanwhile is stalking Chance, so Jamie decides to use the internet to see what she can find on her. Where it turned out she had stalked other boyfriends before. Took awhile before she was finally caught on video with another football player and was sent to prison for a couple of years.
The book has grammatical errors that needs fixing.

This has all the right steps for a college football love story. Chance is the star quarterback and is no doubt going to get a contract with a great team. Jamie is the sports editor of the college newspaper. They meet in an embarrassing way but they hit off right from the start. Everything is going well until someone is starting to harass them. Is it a rival on the team or an ex-girlfriend who is a little on the crazy side. You will fall in love with Chance and Jamie. You will keep turning the pages until the end.

I thought this was a well-written debut novel, and enjoyed the story. I liked the chemistry between Jamie and Chance, it's electric right from the start, but there was a surprising emotional aspect to the story, as they try to grapple with the decision to be together or focus on their respective burgeoning careers. That's not the only drama that they have to deal with, there's also the issue of Chance's ex-girlfriend making waves, as well as negativity escalating in regards to Chance's teammates. Loved the way the book wrapped up, and I'm looking forward to reading more from K.M. Bishop.

After reading the prequel i wanted to see where this series would go, but found although the plot was good, I found I couldn't gel with the book. Sometimes I felt it was repeating the same things as others it seemed the characters changed names and that was a bit confusing, wasn't sure if it was the same person or two different people. I give it my best shot but have up after 60% because I really couldn't get invested in the characters. Others may give this book a higher score, this is just my opinion.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. 3.5 stars. The football scenes are well done. Jamie has a crush on Chance and when she does an interview with him for the college newspaper, she gets a chance. The interview has a very interesting and humorous start. They start dating and she gives him her v-card. However the really long interactions with Lucinda, Chance's stalker, detracts from the story for me. The relationship build-up for Chance and Jamie was really good.

Love On The Field -
WOW! Such a rollercoaster of emotions, that made me feel like I had been electrocuted. I just couldn't stop reading once I started and I tried several times, but I was gripped from the beginning. The characters were good, the dialogue flowed well and you will not be able to see the twists in the story coming. This is a beautiful love story, about fate, soulmates, supporting each other and unexpectedly finding true love. You won’t want to miss out on reading it.

I rate this book 4.5 stars.

This was a cute college romance. I couldn't stop giggling at how Chance and Jamie met. Chance is super confident, but it was sweet to see how nervous he is around Jamie at times in the beginning. Their chemistry together is sizzling hot, and they make an adorable couple as they seem so in sync with each other. Add in a crazy teammate, and an even crazier ex, and this book is totally entertaining!

This was a very entertaining romance. I liked Chance and Jamie. Their chemistry was steamy and the pull of attraction undeniable. I loved the level of emotional turmoil in this story. From Jamie and Chance's desire for each other, to Chance's need to avoid women and relationships, to their desires to acheive success in their careers, to the rest of the drama that surrounded them, their emotions were pushed to the limit. A very good book. This is my independant, impartial review.

DNF (Spoilery)

This was a DNF at 36%. I’d skipped through several, drawn out fantasies at that point only to make it to the MCs first date and the h stick a bread stick in her lady bits at the dinner table. No need for me to continue with this. Not to mention some story and editing inconsistencies. This was a no.

Loved it

Loved this book. The dedication between Chance and Jamie to their goals was amazing on what they would do to accomplish. There was some sketchy things done that could have been worse but thank goodness they didn't go that way. You never knew what was going to happen from one page to the next. Love this author.

Taking chances

Chance is the star quarterback and Jamie is a reporter with the college news paper. They meet when Jamie is sent to interview Chance and ends up seeing him completely naked in the changing rooms. These two are together practically since then but Chance's ex and another player nearly end up ruining everything. A great story with plenty of drama and sexy times.

Hotshot is book one in the series Indiana Panthers by author K.M. Bishop. Whirlwind of a story will have you believing in fairytales. There’s a damsel, a knight and a couple of bad peeps. You’ll find yourself truly entertained in the pages of this book.
Enjoy!!

A sexy romance...
Ok so there were a few inconsistencies but that's not untypical in an arc & to be honest I got so invested in this story they didn't bother me too much. I loved the main characters, flaws & all & their chemistry was off the charts. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

DNF

I couldn’t get very far in this... the main character, a football player talks about goalies and strong kicks... I can’t handle wrong terminology. If it’s set in Indiana, and it’s American football, then you shouldn’t be talking about goalies.

Great

This was a awesome book for me and I loved every minute. There were a lot of clerical mistakes which I try not to take that against the author, but it seemed like the book was not proofread.

This is a new author to me, and I will certainly be looking out for this authors’ work in the future. Chance is the star quarterback, and Jamie is a sportswriter who is assigned to interview him. There is an instant attraction between them, but how will that pan out, as Chance is determined to focus only on his football career? This is a well written story which is filled with drama, suspense, mystery, and love. I was intrigued and hooked from the very beginning, and recommend for all.
