I won this book on a Goodreads giveaway. Full of misspellings, the book was hard to read because of that and jumping around before a scene should have been finished.

I really wish that ebooks were given the same quality control checks as hardcover books. I realize that proof-readers and editors seem to be in short supply, but before a book is "published" it needs a lot more editing than a run with a spell checker. The first third of the book wasn't too bad, although there were plenty of inconsistencies in the story and several misused words. However, the remainder of the book read as either several people authored it or it was completed in haste. Maybe this book was supposed to be several books, or serialized? Ideas/actions were repeated from one page to the next or one section to another as if the reader needed to be reminded what just happened. It was very frustrating and took away from the story. The word choices/errors were multiplied many times over from the first part of the book.
Otherwise, the story was very much like a superhero vs. villain with the end of the world at stake, thin character development, and lots of violence. Actually my kind of book, it was a shame there was no real editing in evidence in the final product.

I cant believe I actually read the whole book....

Riddled with spelling errors and a woeful lack of knowledge of firearms this book is hardly deserving of any Award. It promised so much but left me bitterly disappointed.

I won a copy of this book in a Goodreads Giveaway.

The version I won (from 2020; I suppose there could be a newer edition) felt...flat. Characters were stereotypes, dialogue was flat, the concept had waaaay too many holes (and I'm very willing to suspend disbelief), and there were typos and misuse of words that were downright distracting. I try to finish books, but just couldn't do it with this one. It wasn't awful, just...boring.
