3 Country/City Fast Love Stars

So I hadn't read an Elle Goode book before. I have to say I loved the cover. This is cut from the Alexa Riley cloth where there is Insta-Lust/Love within the first meet. The difference with this story is how Goode works in a backstory of how each of these characters knows of each other through the woman's dad. By using this method to create an easier way for the reader to accept the strong attraction from the start, it allows this tale to take off. It is a story of an uptight billionaire who falls hook, line, and sinker for the sweetest, sassy country gal who wants to experience New York City.
Delilah Howell is the actual fantasy her name would suggest. She is a pocket rocket of a gal who is sassy, curvaceous, and as sweet as sweet can be. She has beautiful red hair and a feisty personality to match at times. Her family treasured her and was extremely protective of her since the moment she was born. Early on, Delilah learned of New York City from her father's business and once she heard of it, she became fixated on getting there.
Once she turned 18, she plotted on how to get there. She saved what she thought would be enough, and when the time was right, she took off.
Here she is in the Big Apple and stunned. So many people, so many rushing by, and in an instant, her plans and ideas of how to get along there are turned upside down.
Drake Weston is one of those men who does not allow no to come across his desires. He sees something he wants, he takes it. He has become independent and wealthy to the point where he could never do a thing and never want for anything. He has the looks all wish to have, chiseled jawline, toned body, and a thick head of hair...with eyes which could pierce right through you. He has no relationships except in business.
The one relationship he does value is the one with Mr. Howell. This is a man he wishes was his father. He met him when Mr. Howell approached him regarding a new venture. They both met before a scheduled meeting and bonded immediately causing the two to develop a mentor/surrogate/father/son relationship. Over the years, Drake has leaned on Howell as a touchstone. The affection was returned.
Now Mr. Howell is in need of help from Drake. Delilah is out there in the big city and Howell needs Drake to find her, protect her and get her home. When Drake finds Delilah, it is like when Michael in the Godfather has been hit by what Sicilians call "the Thunderbolt". He can't think, he is overcome with feelings he has never had...
Delilah is stunned by Drake as he seems to have appeared out of thin air which is crazy due to the size of him. He has taken charge of her and she is trying to get away as she has no idea of who he is...As she screams Stranger Danger to the passing hoards of New Yorkers rushing by, Drake kisses her to shut her up...
Well, that was a head turner for Delilah and Drake...
This follows the usual path of these types of tales with over the top possessiveness, intense desire both feel and a few conflicts to cause each of them to cling to what they really want from each other. This did have a strong layer of depth and gave each character an internal dialogue which was sometimes funny. sometimes revealing and all the times focused on the need for each other.
Ms. Goode has laid the groundwork for another book involving these characters and the secondary ones being the main focus.

Delilah was just a small town girl (yes, I went there, I grew up in the eighties when Bon Jovi reigned), but wanted something more. Knowing she just needed to take a chance, she went for it and headed to New York. As she's walking around, taking everything in, she's surprised and yet not to be found by her dad's friend, Drake. Those two have known each other for a few years and have grown close, yet Delilah has never met him. And wow, seeing him now...
Drake would do anything for his friend, including watching over his daughter while she's in the city. What he never expected was how seeing her would make him feel. He's been so busy building his empire that he lives and breathes work, at least that's the reason he always thought his personal life was lacking for so many years. But, now he knows he was simply waiting for Delilah.
Delilah is relieved she gets to stay and explore the city, all while staying with and working for Drake, though she doesn't want any favors, fully content to start at the bottom of the company and word her way up. Drake, already determined to give her anything she wants, agrees, but hates not being near her.
Their relationship moves at a lightning fast pace, but you know when you've met the one for you, so why waste time? Of course, things don't go smoothly as they'd hoped, but Drake won't let anything stand between him and his future.

I got this as a Arc and for a honest review!! This was a quick pace good book.
Delilah had a rare heart condition but its fixed with that she had some overprotective parents that always wanted her near them never letting her live her life.. until she said screw it and left shes naive and innocent and in new york, but that doesn't last since she bumps into Derek and well that first meeting is hawt lol Derek knows who Delilah is since he knows her father and respects the man but like any Alpha he wants her.. but takes his time but not to much time lol i love Derek i wish we had more smut but it is what it is.. also i did enjoy that both were jealous of anyone giving their partner attention ;) they also had a small miscommunication moment that ended with Delilah running.. but glad that was taken care of..
I would love to read Coltons story and Charlotte.
Low angst, no om drama ow drama a chick at his job saying he a manwhore (but that was a lie) , dramaish, secondary charas, sexy time, not a manwhore and a virgin gal

Mí humilde opinión:
Delilah Howell es una chica de campo que siempre estuvo protegida por sus padres desde que tuvo una operación en el corazón. La negativa de ellos por viajar la empuja a tomar un avión para ver sola Nueva York.
Drake Weston es un hombre adinerado que siempre obtiene lo que quiere y le gusta su privacidad.
Que el hombre que aprecia como padre le pida cuidar a su hija no es algo que desee hacer pero no puede decepcionarlo, entonces acepta cuidar de su pequeña hija.
Pero cuando ve a la mujer pelirroja con dulces curvas de infarto sabe que está en problemas, en serios problemas porque ella está fuera de los límites.
Delilah cambiará de a poco a este hombre de negocios con sus sonrisas, sus besos y amor.
Un librito con un amor a primera vista como todos los demás, con algo picante sucediendo pero no es de mis preferidos de Ella.
No me conquistó ni la historia o la pareja protagonista tristemente.
Me costó los primeros capítulos, se me hizo pesado y principalmente Delilah no me terminó gustando mucho, no conecté bien con este personaje.
Y si bien se pone un poco mejor luego el ritmo de lectura, tampoco me conquistó está historia de amor o el EPÍLOGO!
Ahora espero que el libro de Charlotte y Colton este mejor.
Un flojito comienzo para la serie Home.

It was nice.
A little overwhelming by all the insta love, insta attraction and insta everything, but was a nice reading.
What really annoyed me about this book was that everything that happen in it, occurred in 24 hours!!
She's in New York, baggage stole, find the guy, kiss before hi (pun indeed), move in with him, a lot of other little and not so little things happen including a fight, she's run, they made up, I love yous, lost of virginity, of course with a pregnancy and a flight back home.
After this book, I think that I really don't know how to use my 24 hours per day!

I absolutely loved Drake and Delilah's story! This was an amazing and hot read and I can't wait for Colton's story! ;)

But Delilah has dreams of seeing the city and the only way to do that is run away.
Enter Drake Weston.
Drake has been asked by a man he thinks of as a father to protect his daughter while she's in the city. Drake may have promised to protect her from everyone else, but who's going to protect her from him? After all Drake's never been moved by a woman like he is by Delilah.
Maybe it's time to finally take his woman and take her back to the country where he can protect her be surrounded by those they both love.
First though Drake's going to have to chase down Delilah and show her just how much she means to him before she tries to run back home to someone else.

If you’re looking for some outrageous escapism this would certainly qualify. Normally I don’t have huge expectations in novella length romances but for some reason this heroine just got to me. The story takes place over maybe a 36 hour period and then the characters are professing their undying love and devotion. What I think bothered me most was the heroines crazy low immaturity level and how quick she was to judge and assume. She lives on a farm, in a little podunk town and after turning 18 she decides the only way to experience anything outside of her small town, (somewhere like NYC) is to just up and leave. And so she does. Her father however has a contact in the city and that’s when the hero comes in. The hero was immediately obsessed with the heroine the moment they meet. He’s also of course super rich, owns high rises in the city and his own company. Can I say what he does? Ummmm not at all, think it gets mentioned once in reference to his connection to her father lol. Truth be told I don’t know why I nitpicked this book so much but the heroine just came off so childish to me, so much so I actually wanted her to go back home to mommy. She was sooo clueless about so much, she should have been eased into a big place like the Big Apple lol. It was an ok read just hella unrealistic and sub par characters.

This was a sweet and sexy story. Delilah and Drake are good together. They bring out the best in one another. Drake becomes a man blessed when he sees Delilah. He is definitely an OTT alpha that gets jealous at even the thought of anyone looking at his love. I really loved these two together.

I received an Advance Reader Copy of the book. This is my honest and voluntary review.
I will admit, while this is a short read it did take me a bit longer to get through it. I had a hard time connecting to Delilah and I think that made me less motivated to read her story. However, once I got a few chapters in I sped through Bring Him Home and ended up really liking it. It reminded me a bit of old school Alexa Riley in the best way and I really look forward to reading Charlotte and Colton's story because it was set up really well. So while this isn't my fave Ella Goode book I did enjoy it and I'm excited to read more! 3 out of 5 wine glasses.

Bring Him Home is one hella Hot Home run! Ella Goode has given us a Swoon Worthy Romance to fall in love with! I couldn't get enough of Delilah N Drake they are the perfect combination of funny, sexy, sassy N sweet!!!
This story of love at first sight between a small town girl N a city boy stole my heart from the very beginning N held on to it until the last page, leaving me craving more, I'm dying for Charlotte N Colton's story, can't wait to for Finding Home!

Bring Him Home by Ella Goode was a sweet and steamy read. Delilah Howell has been protected and sheltered all her life. She is ready to live her life and decides to move to New York. Drake Weston respects and cares about his friend, Delilah’s father, and is determined to watch over her, but once they meet, he wants her.
This story is fast-paced and sexy. A small-town girl and the workaholic city man fall and fall hard. It was fun and had great characters. Delilah was feisty and ready to take on the world. Drake was all alpha, sexy and protective.

That was short and very very sweet. We have a naive heroine that acts first and then thinks and a super alpha hero that will do anything to keep her close to him. Country girl that is not afraid of any bull and a city men that falls deep once he puts his eyes on her. What could go wrong?
I'll be honest with you, I didn't really like Ella Goode's stories until this one came along. I really enjoyed this over the top, insta love and cannot wait to read a story of Colton and Charlotte.

Her parents adore her and a protective of her, she knows they'd never let her go on her own so they had really left her no choice.
The city is like nothing she's ever known. There's people everywhere. She feels overwhelmed but she's also excited.
When Drake gets a call from Delilah's father asking him to look for his daughter he doesn't hesitate. He respects the hell out of him. What he doesn't expect though is to fall instantly head over heels in love with her.
Delilah's innocence shines brightly. Her smile and her sparkling personality are hard to ignore. She's like a light that seems to draw you in.

There is nothing better than sitting down to read a steamy insta love story with fun characters, an interesting plot and lovable dialogue. This book was such a fun read! I love that this author knows how to write a possessive alpha who knows what he wants and takes it (with respect of course). I loved Drake and his determination to get Delilah as his woman; and I loved Delilah and her ability to melt into Drake yet, still be herself.
This is a city boy meets country girl story and it was written to perfection. I might still be swooning… just saying. If you’re having an off day and need something to lighten it, this read it perfect (or if you are just looking for awesome read)! I received an ARC and am leaving a honest review. More please, maybe Charlotte next?! (4.5 stars)
This is a city boy meets country girl story and it was written to perfection. I might still be swooning… just saying. If you’re having an off day and need something to lighten it, this read it perfect (or if you are just looking for awesome read)! I received an ARC and am leaving a honest review. This was such a fun, hot story with a sassy heroine who is strong and doesn’t become a doormat when she falls in love, and a hero who will move any mountain to make her happy. Their possessiveness over one another was adorable, which is hard to write well, as it never became overbearing or ridiculous.
Safe read, with a virgin heroine and a long celibate hero. Slight OW drama, but it was actually useful to the story (often when you see it there’s no real point, but here there was a purpose), no cheating, faithful after meeting, no separations, and no TSTL moments.
I’m an ARC reader, but as you can tell from my other reviewS, ARC or not, I tend to only review the books I particularly enjoy. Honesty matters.

Delilah and Drake have sparks flying very fast. Drake knows what he wants and its Delilah and he will give her anything she wants. Drake is someone that just works but that changes with Delilah...his focus is changing.

Bring Him Home was my second read from Ella Goode. It was only okay for me. I liked She's All Mine A LOT more. I liked the characters, but they weren't too memorable. I felt much of the same way towards the plot. The epilogue was by far the cutest and best part!!! I'm hoping to read more Ella Goode books and SOON.

Cute story. H is super obsessed, over the top crazy, love that h has a sassy mouth. Some OW drama trying to talk the h into not trusting H. Reminds me a lot of Alexa Riley style, will definitely look out for the next Charlotte and Colton story! Can't wait!

I loved this book! Hot, fast paced fun read. I couldn’t put it down. Insta-Love billionaire meets country girl visiting the big city. The chemistry between these two is off the charts!!
