Felicitated by numerous institutes, bodies and organizations alike, Kazi is a well-known name in the social media and literary fraternity. He is fondly referred to as 'The Young Marketer' and operates a revolutionary blog with the same name.

Kazi is a voracious reader and counts singing as his second love.
You have to agree that no matter what a love story always catch human attention. But plain love stories sometimes get you bored, especially every month hundreds of them coming in the market. that brings the creative side of authors how they can show it in a different style. I think recently apart from thriller and action-based love stories two types are doing great. One is an inspirational love story and another is mature ones. "Meant To Be Together" by Faraz Kazi belongs to later type. Well, I was not aware of the same when we received the book in exchange for an honest review.
Preeti is out protagonist who had troubled past and was on verge of breaking down. She met a guy named Sameer who helped her to come out of her emotional turmoil. Deep down, Preeti started having feelings for Sameer, but she was not confident about Sameer's feeling. Read the book to know more.
The overall writing style is smooth. Though written with emotional quotient in mind book won't bore you out if you don't like emotional drama. It shows how love can bring balance to an emotionally depressed person. Language usage is simple, I would say ideal for people who want to learn reading. A light and quick read. You can take it on a trip and enjoy it. Don't worry it is not another Mills and boon's type.
Publisher- Shristi publications Length- 218 pages My views- Honestly, i wasn't expecting too much, as Indian romantic books are not my type. But the blurb, firstly, i so insightful, i instantly got acquainted with the story. So, i won't be telling details about the plot. Coming to the narration, the book is good and author is very expressive through his words. It is a different story in terms of approach. The characters are good, Preeti's character is extremely relatable. The book has a slightly slow pace in the middle. Overall, very relatable.
After a long time I have read a book that literally kept me hooked and I didn't move until I finished it. Loved it. Be it the story, the writing style, the characters... everything was amazing. Though I wish Preeti and Sameer had a last conversation but I guess the coffee context at the end was also good. All in all it was a worth reading book. Kudos to the author!!
The title of the book makes you think this is a love story of two star crossed lovers when in reality it is so much more than that. At first I was skeptical because romance isn't my go to genre especially when it comes to Indian literature but as soon as I started reading, I knew I was going to be disappointed.
Right from the start, the author makes sure you get hooked and since the writing style is so vivid and descriptive, you can't help but get engaged in the storyline.
The plot isn't something that stands out but the narrative compensates for that. The intensity with which every word is penned down makes the experience worth while. The characters felt relatable and so did their experiences. Their loss, their grief, their insecurities, everything had a realistic touch to it.
It's intriguing from the start but loses its charm mid way through the journey and then picks up the pace again as the story comes to an end.
Overall it's an engaging read with events that you'd be able to relate to and characters you'd find realistic.
You should read it Atleast once so that your perspective about romance in Indian literature could change a little.
Preeti Thaker had a very troubled childhood — she had to shift to her grandmother’s house when her father met with a tragic accident and was completely bedridden. As much as she misses having a normal childhood like her other classmates, she is also a constant target of bullies and at a later point sexual abuse by her teacher. The only constant support for her through these years was her elder brother Hitesh, and just when things seem to be settling down, fate takes away Hitesh forever from Preeti again in an accident.
Depressed and not having any more reason to live, Preeti’s is on the verge of ending her life when Sameer Arora rings her door bell! Sameer, her neighbor who stays in the same floor, enters her house and life, is he going to change it forever or may be bring a storm as everything else had been in life so far for Preeti, forms the rest of the story.
The first fifty odd pages touch on the childhood of Preeti, her growing up years till she loses the only love she ever experienced, Hitesh. If the reader can navigate through these very intense, emotional and disturbing events of Preeti’s life, can the experience the sweeter and passionate relationship Preeti starts building with Sameer. Added to that is the immensely lovable gang Sameer brings along himself to Preeti. As with any other love story, this one too has the beautiful moments and some downtimes. However, Preeti and Sameer are extremely well developed characters who will pull the readers into their journey.
However I personally found the preclimax and climax a bit dramatic and at times unbelievable, the epilogue makes up for any lack of satisfaction seeping in towards the end, as the author reveals the people whose life this story is inspired from. And as intrigued as I was by this fact, I was pleasantly surprised and overwhelmed to realize Preeti and Sameer do exist, and the reader might want to re-read the book to experience a real story again. Pick this one to be taken on the exhilarating journey of Preeti and Sameer, especially Preeti’s story on how unpredictable life can be when it brings sorrow or happiness and how life is all about taking chances and living it to the fullest.
The best thing ever to happen to a book lover is to get a book in gift :) and I've been pretty lucky on that front. Starting from my daughter to family to friends to our book club members and even some lesser known acquaintances have all gifted me amazing books at one point or another. But the best-est thing to happen to me is to get a book straight from the Author :) like this time too, it was simply fantastic when Faraaz himself messaged me and offered to send his book. I grabbed it with both hands and on top of that I must mention quick that it turns out to be a totally fantastic story. If you have read my earlier posts, you already know that I am big huge Nicholas Sparks fan and a die hard romantic from heart - co-incidentally Faraaz is slated to be India's Nicholas Sparks :) you see, I was destined to get this book and love it too. Book is about 200+ pages but the story, characters, situations and handling is so amazing (read thrilling) that I raced to the ending in two sittings, how I spent a day in office with book waiting to be finished besides me is a story I will keep for some other day. On top of that I just read that he has written a few more books earlier to this one and the first of those is already getting adapted into a Movie. How awesome it is, I've gotta get his earlier books now and read them back to back.
Going by the title it simply sounds like a love story, which it is but other than that it has so much more in it. I guess as an ode to Nicholas Sparks, Priti's story starts with a flashback, keeps coming back and forth to the present. Her story of troubled childhood, struggle, family situation, Work, Love and Loss and so much more. His characters are so believable and totally life like that I was able to connect with them so well and understand their pain, happiness and even the language :) as the Author uses so many Hindi words and terms generously throughout the story, which works beautifully. Unfortunately the story is written in such a way that if I disclose anything, it will kill the fun for those who would like to read it. Priti's amazing story of childhood trouble, struggles, survival in a big city like Mumbai with no support or friends. Just when we realize that she has got a great companion the story takes a shocking turn, she still fights hard and how it all ends and what is she destined to get is what you should read this book for. I loved the way he has handled his Mumbai characters, so aptly with the attitude of Work hard and party harder. Especially the way they chill and talk and do things is so real that it sounds like a chapter taken out of my own life and friend circle :), it sent me back to Mumbai and made me miss those friends I have left back.
I must say I have read quite a few books with strong female central character but this one takes the cake as initially how Priti is carved out and how she grows into an amazing woman and leaves no stone upturned in writing her own destiny is totally amazing. As I said that I loved the story and everything else about it but Faraaz has saved the best for the last :) the Epilogue :) which put a huge huge smile on my face. Take a bow Faraaz as that was simply brilliant and now you have a huge fan of your writing in me. Looking forward to his earlier and upcoming books big time.
I rarely read and write romance books but somehow I picked this one and I am glad that I picked this one. Usually I don't like romance genre as there is typical college romance but this one is quite different. No wonder why the author is best selling author. I would like to keep reviews short. The protagonist of the story is Preeti. The entire childhood, adulthood, career and love interest is covered in the book by the author. Different and interesting plot. There are lots of amazing and unpredictable twists and turns. The author has used good vocabulary and language still it's easily understandable so that everyone can enjoy it. Unpredictable plot. I loved how it ended it Goa, as it's my favourite place. It holds reader's attention till the end. There are lots of chapters that are really emotional and heart touching. The story moves at faster pace so I liked that. I like how author has wonderfully covered Preeti's childhood in brief in a form of a diary entries. Overall good one. It was really amazing to read light love story in between intense read. Definitely recommended. And a must read for romance lovers.

Yes, it’s a love story and the characters and relationship of Preeti and Sameer are so beautifully portrayed by Farraz that even those who don’t love romance genre will actually fall in love with it. Preeti was sure that she is in love but was feeling the same for Sameer or its just a friendly liking for him. Will it be a happy romantic tale or again the shadow of unhappiness will return back to Preeti’s life? To know more do read this book. The flow of the story is smooth and narrations are simple yet thought-provoking one. It’s a worthy, short yet meaningful story which I personally enjoyed from the bottom of my heart. A love story worth recommended to all who believe in love. Once again a wonderful work by Faraaz Kazi as expected. For detail review visit https://www.indiacafe24.com/book-revi...

More Than Just Friends is a book by Faraaz Kazi, best known for his debut novel- Truly Madly Deeply. Although this is my first time experience with the author, I've no doubt that his other books would be just as good as this one.
The book is about Preeti's life journey beginning from her childhood. She has a disturbing childhood. Preeti's dad meets with an accident and is paralyzed waist down. Due to the added responsibility, Preeti is sent away to her grandmothers along with her elder brother and he becomes her confidant, the only person she trusts. A sad turn of events breaks Preeti's heart and she loses all hope and desire to be happy. And then she meets Sameer. Preeti finds friendship and love once again and couldn't have been more content. But fate decides to play with her again. She is clearly in love with Sameer, but does he feel the same for her? Or is he in love with someone else? Will she ever have a happy life? Without any answers, she is lost. Until she decides to do something about it.
The book is a short, romantic read. A well paced story, it has all the elements right for a romantic novel. The narrative is to the point and thus, effective. Nowhere does the story feel stretched out or boring. A short, breezy read that is thoroughly enjoyable.
I would absolutely recommend it to all the romance lovers out there. Go for it!
*** This book was sent to me by Juggernaut in exchange for an honest review. ***
MY SUMMARY: Preeti spend her whole childhood away from her parents, with her elder brother at her grandparents house. But when she lost her only support system that is her brother, she went into deep depression. Until one day, a knock on her door taught her how to smile, how to live life to fullest. She fall for him but he didn't. She was adjusting with the fact when destiny set them apart and Preeti again confined herself in her shell. Will she ever able to laugh and live her life again? . MY REVIEW: ♥️This book is a romance story of Preeti & Sameer and how they fought with their own grief to find solace in each other. . ♥️Book started with perfect scene of Preeti going through a journal of a little girl. So I just loved the starting of the book. Author has successfully maintained the pace of story throughout the book which I like the most. . ♥️This book has covered so many things; dark childhood, love of siblings, relationships, friendship, hatred and guilt. . ♥️The whole book is really interesting and intriguing. Once you start, there is no looking back. . ♥️Although I liked the book, but it was nothing like unpredictable factor in it. It was a sweet and simple love story with a punch of friendship. . ♥️Character build up was fine. Narration was to the point. Plot building was great. Language was super easy and visualizing. Epilogue was a cherry on the cake.
Meant to be together by Faraaz kazi is an unique love story which has made be believe that love stories can be written with an unpredictable storyline.
It's not a regular romantic fiction, but it has indeed an amazing plot to explore. The story is about Preeti who suffers from many setbacks and recent loss of his brother, and then how she comes out the depression she is facing with the help of guy she met 'Sameer'.
The plot is pacy along with a wonderful narration and lucid language, it contains emotions, which are expressed in a beautiful way at the proper timing.
What makes this story special, is that we can not predict the next moment and that makes it an interesting read.
Characters are very well developed and especially Preeti is soul of the story, her character has flaws according to story, her emotional side and everything about her makes us fall in love with the character.
The story covers many others aspects of friendship, emotions, courage and most importantly hope, it is good to talk about solving the issue of depression and creating a positive hope.
Cover is something that makes us fall in love with the novel at first sight, and title is also very much suitable to the plot.
At last, this is a must read book if you love reading romantic fiction, which is based on a true story, and a huge shoutout for Faraaz Kazi who has just made this genre feel alive again.
I'm not a big fan of romance genre but I had liked the author's earlier work, so picked this up to read.
The book follows the story of Preeti who has moved to the city after getting a job. She has also recently lost her biggest support system — her brother and is struggling to cope with the loss. At such a time, an unexpected knock on the door brings a surprise into her life that ends up changing it in ways just as unexpected.
The author succeeds in showing Preeti's state of mind by flashback through her journal entries. Her pain is palpable, having been through a lot. The reactions to the lows of her journey are realistic and believable. And Sameer's arrival (and the gang's too) into her life is at the right time. The narration is simple, and many moments in the novel do bring a smile.
On the flipside, the story flow is kind of predictable. I won't say I could know exactly what would happen next but I could guess correctly on a few occasions. With the cover and title, I think most readers of the genre know the ending. Not necessarily a deterring factor to picking up the book of course.
Although I did enjoy reading the story, I think those who love to read love stories a lot might love this book more than I did. 3.5★
It is story of a girl Preeti Thaker whose father met an accident and got paralysed. No choice left she has to moves under care of grandmother.Growing up without parents was not easy but there was someone who nourishes her, Hitesh his brother. What if her only support system Hitesh dies? Will she give up on life or the person standing other side of door change her life forever? Are they meant to be together? I am not supposed to tell you that.
No doubt Faraaz Kazi is promising writer and creative too. He penned emotions very well.Narration is simple and crispy. The flashback of Preeti childhood through journal entry is poignant. The way in which story begins is exceptionally unique and ending is satisfactory but somewhere in middle story lost little charm. But overall it is good read.Writer perfectly delivers message that in life everyone going to lose someone they love dearly but you can't grieves over loss for the rest of life.Try to find your happiness in what is rather than what should or could have been.
I must say Faraaz has great sense of emotions because it reflects in his story, actually I'm not so fond of romantic books as cover says but story is bit different and intresting so I read it in one go.From the beginning story keeps me bound with characters, emotions are used so powerfully in story that you feel like you are there in story. Language is also very simple and lucid and I really liked the way which several social issues like dyslexia, child molestation and depression are raised. Story is about a girl Preeti Thaker who conquered all her fears during her life through childhood to become an engineer. His father is on wheelchair and she lives with Nani and her only support system his brother hitesh also met with an accident. After shifting to Mumbai he met with Sameer a whole hearted person and her life takes a sharp twist and turn that makes story more intresting. So I recommend this book its an awesome written love story.
The Blurb says: “Preeti Thaker moves to Mumbai to run away from herself, to put behind a painful childhood, plagued adolescent years and the recent death of her only support system – her brother. She is on the verge of ending it all, succumbing to her depression, when the doorbell rings. Little does she know that answering it will change her life forever! The guy on the other end of the door will offer her solutions to all her problems, but in the process, she will end up losing the only thing she had never lost till date – her heart!
Inspired by the true story of an artist who found that love was the only colour missing from the palette of her life, 'Meant to be Together' is a tale of love, friendship, courage, determination and above all, hope. Hope that makes us look for the rainbow when it rains and for the stars when it is dark.”
Book covers attract me first then the blurb on the back. The fascinating book covers instigate my creative thought process to accumulate all the imaginary components to reckon the storyline. When Faraaz extended the blurb of ‘Meant to be Together’ with a request if I could review the book, my reply was affirmative as I liked the story line. Honestly the book cover didn’t reach my expectation ( as the cover tuned to me cinematic) but the story did.
Preeti Arora, the protagonist had a challenging childhood. Preeti’s childhood projected in front of me the thousands of girls who had complications and that suffering led to psychological trauma. But few turns Lucky like Preeti to get a super supportive brother to pull her up, fearing off her woes to boon. But Preeti’s tragedy struck fate turned out to be too cruel when it took away Preeti’s most favourite and loved person, her brother. From her childhood Preeti loved to pour her heart out to her paintings. The colours on the canvases were her soul friends who silently bore all the secret stories, the stream of thoughts and her sufferings. Those were not mere paintings but each cried out the inner agony of Preeti. Being a financially Independent lady she had chosen to lead an independent life style staying alone, confining all the paintings rather her secret talent only in the bedroom. But suddenly like a dream one day a magician entered in her life who gradually started to change her life with the colours which were totally throttled in her paintings but not in her life. Sameer Arora who had lost his beloved wife, remained the rain man unless he himself fell in love with Preeti head over heals and Preeti too. But this love story didn’t turn out that easy as it looked like. The love story of the duo was articulated in such a way that one would drawn him/herself in the stream of emotional upheaval. Sameer’s appearance with the gang of his friends injected the life that was totally missing in the lifeless life of Preeti. The fun that she had missed in her college days almost returned back. Sameer’s extreme jovial nature, for a moment, didn’t let anyone feel the pain he had gone through, only one would keep on speculating - was Sameer hiding something!! It has a rhythm to flow you down till the end and then let you take a breath. One need to wait till end to know if the duo will become one soul or not.
I found a very interesting point after finishing the book. Though the storyline and the book cover project to a mere love story, that has two love birds with differences. But ironically it spreads the truth of life. Preeti and Sameer are the epitomes of life. One shows the pessimistic side of life that dejected people to live in hell and the other one always tries to spread happiness around him suppressing all his grief. This philosophical aspect of life skilfully penned down by Faraaz. Even the epilogue at the end was quite new to me how the writer brought himslef as a character to give the stroy a more realistic look. His accomplished flare of writing skill and the dramatic aura of the book will surely hook his readers to keep on reading till it ends. Faraaz Kazi who is known as ‘ the Nicholas Sparks of India’, fascinatingly ended up his truly romantic novel – Meant to be Together.
Preeti did not have a happy childhood. She and her brother used to live at their grandparent’s house while their mother took care of their sick father. Her classmates would tease her when her parents won’t show up at various school functions. Moreover her P.T teacher molested her which took away her mental peace. She became uncomfortable around boys and developed trust issues. Also her mathematics score was going down day by day. During all those difficult times she found solace in her brother. He used to comfort her, cheer her and helped her with her studies. Eventually she completed her higher studies and got a job. But her brother’s sudden death right before his wedding left her shattered. As if all the brightness from her life was snatched away. That’s when she met Sameer and her life took a beautiful turn. But her sufferings didn’t end there. If you want to know more about Preeti and Sameer’s story then pick up the book.
The story was beautiful, fast paced and kept me you hooked till the end. The characters were well casted and didn’t fail to impress. My favourite character was that of Sameer as he was a cheerful, helpful and fun loving young man who had a soft corner for Preeti. He gave her company when she needed the most after losing her brother. He is like the boy next door who was always there for her. On a serious note, the book also dealt with sexual abuse and exhibited how difficult it is for a person who went through that trauma to trust anyone again. Also not to mention the brother-sister relationship was wonderfully portrayed. Preeti was very lucky to have a brother like Hitu in her life while growing up. Only a person who had lost a loved one can understand the pain she went through after he left the world. She was lucky to have parents who supported her throughout and also motivated her to do well next time whenever she failed in studies. The book also dealt with the beautiful bond of friendship who helps you to smile a little bigger and live a little better. Also while reading this book I came to know about a learning disability called dyscalculia which hampers a person’s ability to understand numbers. The parts with the diary entries starting from Preeti's childhood were touching and heart-warming. Overall it was a pleasant read with a happy ending.
Pain is everywhere. It blooms in you when you are pricked with thorn, you twist your ankle or even hear something hurtful from someone you love. Whatever form it may take, the end result is the same. You are hurt, sad and end up disrupting your own peace. Pain is constant. But like a diamond formed by constant pressure on a piece of coal, what emerges out of pain is a beautiful form of happiness that restores the peace that was broken.
Under this premise, Meant to be together is a book about pain. A lot of it. And then healing and finally love. Inspired by a true story, the author Faraaz Kazi writes the tale of Preethi and Sameer. The story begins with a grief-struck Preethi looking through her old journals and remembering her childhood. She reminisces the various stages of her life till the present day. That is when she meets Sameer. Her friendship with Sameer grows stronger and soon evolves to love. But a tragedy befalls and leaves Preethi unsure about everything. What happens next is something for you to read.
The beginning of the book left me wanting more. The writing style of the story through journal entries was very creative. The first half of the book did what it was intended to, give a gist of the plot, set the mood and evoke the necessary emotions. Kudos on the last part. It was very well carried out. The second half was good but it was not able to match up to the beginning. The transition can be described as interesting to slightly interesting. I did notice there are a few inconsistencies, Preethi's intense smoking habit vanished and her struggling to smoke a joint to name one. I also felt that the book ended abruptly. The story reached its conclusion out of nowhere and I feel it could have been fine-tuned. I liked how the author included himself in the story. It felt like he was giving a part of himself through the book. Now the grand verdict, do I recommend it. For all of you who have been hurting and want something to show you, it's not going to last, pick up this book, read it and you will feel better.
I thank Faraaz for providing me with a review copy and wish him all the best for his future.
There are few book which reach to my rating of 4.5 and this one is among them. In short it is a worthy book to read! When there is a line"Award winning author of his or her book this and this" then what else reason do you want to give a try to any of his her books.
Now, If you don't know, I am a fan of romance and Mythology and I review them with special care.
This book was so beautiful from front to end. And I don't know how but the magic in narration is that it holds usual words and gives the exact essence.
No doubt author's first work is being adapted on big screen.
The narration and story telling is lovely.
The story is very nice, there is reality, and twists and much more elements which make it a GOOD READ.
I will have to say that Srishti Publishers are bringing good books.
The cover of the book (as you can see yourself) is a photograph of a girl and boy looking at each other smiling. See I don't have any problem with this one but it is not at all giving the idea of how wonderful this book is from inside.
It seems like a novelisation of a movie. (Yes that's what I felt when I looked at it first)
But anyways it is for those who judge a book by it's cover na😁(I know that cover is very impactful when it comes to deciding whether or not to read a book you never heard of)
So the conclusion...
If you are someone who loves romance novels, go go gooo and read it. It won't disappoint you but at last why not talk little bit about the story.
Stoooryyy
our protagonist preeti a diary writing gurl. Who had a bad childhood, and also teenage life. Is having a turbulent life, ups (rarely) down's (frequently)but now things gonna change.
A tale of love, friendship, courage and ... HOPE.
Hope a big word and also the core which makes the story lot more gripping than usual romance stories.
So that's it. (No I am not gonna paste blurb in my review for the sake of story introduction)
It is a beautiful story and worth reading.
Now I need to go as possibly I'll read some parts of this story again. Happy reading
Book Title: Meant to be Together Author: Faraaz Kazi Format: Paperback
Book Title: The title of the book ' Meant to be Together ' is very heart-warming and emotional.
Book Cover: The cover image of the book is of a couple embraced in a cozy hug with great happiness in their faces.
Plot: The story is about a young girl who faces obstacles in every stage of her life be it small or big. She recoups herself with great self-inspiration and comes back to her normalcy with will power. With an unsupportive father as he is down with a medical ailment, she strives hard to balance her emotional and sentimental state of mind. With the welcoming of her lover, she sees a new light in her life. Will her love life succeed?
What I like: 1. An honest attempt of moving away from the normal chic-lit romance to a matured storyline 2. The difficulties faced by a girl or a female child for having an unhealthy and unsupportive parent are described in a heart-touching manner 3. Where there is a pain, there is hope and with the hope, love can be found. This is the mantra that the female protagonist, Preeti showcases in the story. 4. The very supportive male character, her brother Hitesh is good to read. It is indeed nice to see that the male characters in the story are shown in a very positive manner. 5. The climax and the epilogue are very novel
What I didn't like: The story is good but as it progresses somewhere the narration looked out of the pace but quickly gets into the track. This is a common thing observed of late in romantic genre books.
Characters: All the characters are plotted well.
Narration: The narration is very interesting. The readers get a chance to peep into the characters' lives through the diary maintained.
Language & Grammar: Simple language with good grammar is found in the book.
My Final Verdict: A nice one-time read
Book Title: 3/5 Book Cover:2/5 Plot: 3/5 Characters: 3/5 Narration: 3/5 Language & Grammar: 3/5 Final Rating: 3/5
#bookreview5 📖 Meant To Be Together 🖋️by Faraaz Kazi How many of us thank almighty for what we are and for what we have? Rarely any of us does. We never take some time to appreciate others for their efforts. We never even attempt to. Rather we keep venting.
"Some people are going to leave, but that's not the end of your story. That's the end of their part in your story." - Faraaz Kazi
This story is of a girl named Preethi, who suffers a lot throughout her life, with mere happiness entwined with her. First, it's her father's accident, then her mother moves with him yo the hospital to take care of Preethi's father as he is bed-ridden. Time mends everything gradually and they come together once again as a happy family when suddenly she witnesses her dear brother's demise. She is terrifically hit. She even tries to put an end to her life, but that is when destiny plans something else. She moves straight to the front door as she hears the constant knock, and that is when her life takes a complete u-turn. She bumps into Sameer's life and gets entangled in his love, care, and affection. But to devil's eye, everything shatters once they find themselves in love with each other and when Sameer reveals Revathy's name ( his late wife) under the heavy dosage of drugs, which he consumes. Preethi leaves. She resigns from her job and moves back with her parents and finds another job there. She struggles to get rid of his memories and thoughts. She accepts the Malaysian trip which her employer offers, along with her colleague Abhinav. On her return journey, she is asked to come to her old apartment to collect her letters, and when she arrives she learns that Sameer has vacated too. She learns about Revathy from Tara and repents hard for her mistakes. Preethy strongly vows to leave no stone unturned in finding Sameer. After tremendous attempts, she finally finds him and kindles their first-day convo by placing her empty glass of coffee on the table and says, "Hi! Do you have some coffee I could use?" To bring it to notice, I was very much happy with the Epilogue. I cherished it completely. No flaw, nothing. Perfect. Faraaz kazi is no doubt but "The Nicholas Sparks of India."

I have previously read and thoroughly enjoyed Faraaz Kazi's debut novel Truly, Madly, Deeply and his venture into horror, The Other Side. I did miss his anthology titled LOVE, but when I got to know about his latest, Meant To Be Together, I couldn't say no; not because it's by Faraaz, but because the story genuinely sounded wonderful and that's exactly how the book ended up being!
Meant To Be Together is a story inspired by artist Preeti Thaker Arora whose rather interesting and as she herself rightly puts it- full of "love, friendship, loss, regret, hatred"- story is penned down by Faraaz in the way he does best- simple, straightforward and superb. There's something very intriguing about Faraaz's storytelling which makes you want to know more about the characters. That, coupled with his fabulous writing, make for a fantastic combination that doesn't disappoint.
Preeti Thaker hasn't had the childhood she deserves, but she still manages to get through it all with the beautiful company of her brother. When she faces tragedy after tragedy in life, it seems like giving up is an easy option, until her neighbour Sameer walks into her life and changes it for good. Preeti and Sameer's relationship was beautifully portrayed in a teasing slow burn manner even though there was chemistry from the very beginning. That was definitely the highlight of the book.
Like his previous books, I would highly recommend Meant To Be Together simply because it's a beautiful story that is also quite thought provoking. Not being a very long book, it would make for the perfect weekend read.
*Note: A copy of this book was provided by Srishti Publishers in exchange for an honest review. We thank them.
That is me after reading Faraaz Kazi's 'Meant to Be Together'. This is the first time I'm witnessing Kazi as an author, write for a female protagonist and boy, does he please! This goes to show that there are still some rare male romance writers who understand the female psyche. This is easily one of Kazi's best and most mature works till date... I'm against comparing works but it reminds of the author's magical debut novel, Truly, Madly, Deeply.
Coming back to 'Meant to be Together', the story deals about love, friendship and the hope of never giving up on life, hoping there is always something better in store and life relenting to hope. The book introduces us to Preeti Thaker (a character inspired from a real-life artist by the same name) and proceeds to tell us about her insecurities and fears via a little girl's diary. Having had a troubled childhood fueled by sexual abuse and dyscalculia plus a turbulent adolescence driven by a hatred for most men, Preeti loses it all after losing her only pillar of support- her brother, Hitesh. Back home she is about to end her life after reaching her lowest point when Sameer walks in. The story just blossoms with some of the best subtle romance one has read in modern times. There is a mystery element too in the climax and Kazi gives us enough to cheer for as the story comes to an end feeling your heart with warmth and hope.
The plot is not extraordinary or fantastical but the story-telling more than makes up for it. The words used, the emotions touched upon and the characters themselves are so wonderful that there is no loophole I could see in this cracker of a book that kept me awake for an entire night in my eagerness to finish it. There was hardly a moment where the narrative lost me or when I felt bored. Preeti's story is strongly motivational in nature and has a lesson or two for everyone who has fought a battle in life. The epilogue is a real sweet piece and tells us how the idea for the book germinated over a casual meeting with the real-life Preeti Thaker.
I'll be re-reading this book once again whenever life gives me the doldrums because it has a lot of hidden gems and for sure, has made me a stronger and focused person. The stars fall short but for now, I'll rate it 5/5!
Publication : @srishtipub Genre : Fiction After reading it, I remained wordless. Only tears were something to express the blurb of this book! Its so realistic !! Did you ever feel there is no one in this world who can love you blindly? Did it happen with you that somehow you lost your everything including your favourite person and just though it is baseless to live, there is no reason to live more?? REVIEW: (❤❤❤❤❤/5) ●after receiving the book, I was so excited after seeing the cover! It has a perfect romantic touch. But after pronouncing the title "meant to be together " and seeing the cover Its impossible to understand the story what it consists actually.. ● Story was started with a young girl PREETI THAKER who was reminding her some memories by a old album. She is so shiny externally but broken. Will she get anyone to heal her heart ? Or will it break the rest ? ●The girl has some unique inability (that I ll not explore here) so that she wasnt so good in study but her family never told her abour it and continuously encouraged to be her best version. What is it? What makes her incapable? Grab the book first to know the answers❤ ●The book consists a lot of emotion, love, hate, romance, misunderstanding, family, and many of this! It has a perfect description about friendship ! It disclosed the meaning of life! How to struggle And how important a family to us! There sacrifice and all. How difficult it is for a girl to get harnessed and sexually abused by her teacher. It has a lot of realistic circumstances that all make us aware about real face of society surrounded us. ●There are many characters, n everyone has its own space what I liked most ! Its a perfect example of, time really doesn't matter between two people if they are true and honest ! A perfect love emotional story I have ever read. ● Its a fast moving book what I liked most. Author's work and writing style is extremely appreciated. He defined every single segment very finely.
Life is never fair and it's definitely not a fairytale. We often complain about the sufferings life throws in our way but fail to understand that it also compensates our losses. The story in the book depicts the same.
Preeti Thaker has seen a lot in her life. Her father got paralysed in an accident on her birthday. Her mom torn apart between taking care of her husband and her children decides to send her children to their nanima's place. Since then Hitesh preeti's brother has been her support system. But again a tragic incident occurred and her only brother died. These all things were a lot for her to bear but she had to live her life and so she was just living it. But as it is said life always gives a fair chance to everyone who deserves. A second chance to live her life to the fullest came knocking at her door. And her life changed when she answered it - Sameer
From thinking about him to be a thief and a robber at their first meet to being his friend and share her personal woes with him Preeti saw a second chance at life. She started loving him. Butttt Sameer has a past Preeti is unaware of. And it all comes before her in wrong way that creates a misunderstanding between them. Will they be able to solve it ? Is there a happy ending to their story? Will Preeti get a beautiful life she deserves or another tragedy is making its way to break her all over again? My review:- ☑️☑️☑️☑️.2/5 ▶️I generally don't give reviews in points. But i gave this one so you know the story is not at all boring. ▶️The title suits the plot . ▶️The cover is as romantic as the story. ▶️The first half of the book may seem slow and depressing to some. But the ending is worth the 4 stars. ▶️Also the ending is a bit Bollywood type and its dreamy too. ▶️After a long time i have completed the book fully. So I feel good. Definitely worth reading. Gooooo n grab it.
