Very helpful insight into living with bipolar. Written by people dealing with bipolar, so the truth shines through in the writings. My only issues are: a) seems to focus on managing the mania rather than the depression, and b) so much of what is written talks about the support from family, and very little from people who live alone. I live alone.

Well worth reading.

Reading this book gave me a comprehensive understanding of how bipolar disorder manifests as certain behaviours. By no means a clinical textbook, the stories collected within are very accessible and insightful.

An enlightening insight into Bipolar.

The voices compiled in this book give it power and make it compelling reading. The biggest struggle both sufferers and those that know them face is understanding. This book is not a medical text book but more like joining a room of people with experience in dealing with Bipolar and listening to them speak. At the end of this conversation (or book) you feel like you do understand more of what living with Bipolar must be like.

I would highly recommend this book as an excellent starting place in learning more about Bipolar and those it affects.
