Principles of Environmental Science: Inquiry and Applications with bind in OLC card

Rate this book
As environmental science textbooks have gotten larger and more encyclopedic over the years, an increasing number of instructors have called for a smaller, less expensive book that concentrates on the core principles of the discipline. "Principles of Environmental Inquiry and Applications" emphasizes how science can help us find solutions for important environmental issues. While not attempting to describe every possible environmental dilemma or scientific field of study, this text focuses on the major topics we face and how scientists search for answers to questions about them. Students are provided a solid grounding in scientific principles and then encouraged to think analytically and creatively on their own.

The content of this book was easy to understand and was laid out fine. However, the preventable spelling and grammatical mistakes were just too distracting and made the overall experience dreadful.

I never knew the human impact on the environment to be such a major problem. One of the most important topics of our day. Absolutely. Highly recommend this book!

Easy to understand textbook, good case studies. Just was looking for more inquiry labs for my environmental science class.

Great textbook, I found the illustrations to be very helpful. Each chapter begins with a real word case study, which really makes readers apreaciate learning about the environment, and the different ways we can make more sustainable choices. It's not a boring textbook, I wish all textbooks were organized the way this one is, it's very engaging, and easy to read...relates to the international version.
