A dragon born without a soul serves no master and is feared by all, even Kya, the woman who made him. Demir is his name. Firstborn son of The Fallen—he is fierce and more powerful than any other dragon that ever lived. Demir will lead The Fallen’s army into battle against the Orishas. But before he can be unleashed, he must be tamed. For five days, Demir’s dragon rests and in that time, if Kya is to have any hope of controlling him, his soul must be awakened by the kind of fire that only love can offer.
Nerissa Adams, a proud, card carrying, blerd is definitely not interested in saving dragon souls. Suddenly, she’s forced into a world she never knew existed and is expected to accomplish the impossible. Not only is Nerissa to tame the beast that is Demir, an arrogant, demanding giant of a man who, out of nowhere, shows up in her small town. But she is a pawn to one sister and the ultimate enemy of another. Before she can save Demir, can survive this deadly battle of wills?
The battle between these dragons is going to be on fire! Literally. Kya has created a monster, or has she? Nerissa had her hands full with Demir. It was hilarious seeing him navigate through everyday life. The ongoing storyline is interesting as well as the characters. Now we'll have to see how the next dragon rises to the occasion.
Ugh you don’t want to like Demir but in the end you can’t help but love him. Can’t wait to see how the next two installments play out. I’m so ready for Kya and Tangee to square yo
This is the first book in the series. I had to go back and reread a few pages because I got confused but I never stopped reading. Mason keeps you guessing till the end. I am glad she ventured tp writing this genre. Now to purchase the next book
