The true story of the author's efforts to treat a young homosexual patient with several personalities captures the devastating effects of child abuse and the dedication of a doctor for her patient, despite personal and professional conflict
This is Biography of a man with Malti-personality Disorder, and it is facinating! I'm a slow reader and it only took me two weeks to finish even though I was reading other equily entertaining materiel at the time. Prepare to shed tears at the end.
write a book about multiple personalities, somehow make it about yourself. with heavy editing, it would be fine. as is, I rolled my eyes a lot, but kind of enjoyed hating it, hence 2 stars. also pretty insulting/dated treatment of being gay.
Interesting story even if I did roll my eyes through half of it. the dialog is bad, the story is unbelievable, and inconsistent. If it wasn't posing as true, I would have liked it better.
This is a very gripping book for one to read. It is an astonishing read in the psychology of multiple peersonalities. It can be compared with Sybil and The Three Faces of Eve.
Fascinating reading and enjoyable for one interested in psychology as well as learning about onself.
