Takemichi is determined to stand at the top of Toman's ranks. To bring Baji back to Toman, to get rid of Kisaki, the man behind everything, and to save Hinata for real this time, Takemichi must take on his most difficult mission yet!
So basically, Takemichy and Naoto are just patching up the holes of whichever the unwanted currents are bursting out of. Just like any other well-known time-leaps. But this is just so depressing, and sad, and funny, and kind of heartwarming all at once. It makes you feel so human to realize these emotions at the same time. Tears are just regularly flowing. Yes, we love drama and action fused together!! Can't wait to spectate the Toman vs. Valhalla fight on the next volume!
By the way, is it just me or Valhalla's uniform and the fricken logo is just incredible! I love the story behind the headless angel and what it symbolizes!! If only the people behind it aren't so frightening. But, that's pretty amazing. The swastika is just not really a wonderful sight to me. If you know what I mean.
Will kids find this distracting? A delinquent, to be or not to be, that's a question. It's quite inspiring in a twisted way but I wonder whether the young kids could get the message through all these violence.
We learn a huge thing about Mikey and now I'm starting to understand how all this is so convoluted. The cliff hanger was pretty good as well. I really like the art, it's got very little screen tone and it's pretty simple as well, letting the characters and story stand out.
Puro drama. ¡No recordaba a Baji tan loco! Vamos a sufrir.
Pd.
Total No of Chapters : Chapter 43 - Chapter 51 Bonus Chapter : - Episode of animation: (Haven't watched so will edit later when I've watched) Arc: Valhalla Arc
Overall: This chapter really highlights when how wrong decisions will make or break a person and a whole group
For this volume the main highlights : - Toman Founding Members friendship - What happened to Mikey's brother - The devil's work
This whole volume and arc highlights how desperation broke a person and friendships too.
"That day, why I didn't realize. That he is just a 15 year old kid, with an enormous cross to bear"
I actually teared up at this volume too on how the mangaka showed the vulnerability of Mikey as a kid and how his actions had basically changed the course of the group as a whole. The mission that Takemichi took on was not an easy one because he had no idea when or what will happen but with that particular goal, his ambitions grew and again we have to applaud his tenacity to save everyone. In all honesty, he could just abandon everyone and just live like a normal person, but to save everyone that he loves he had to do what he doesn't like.
This arc also shows the regret of a friend. I wanted to hug the future Draken and Mikey too. I'm literally scared for the next volume because I know it will break me.
Ohh I think I'm caught up to where the show is. I haven't actually seen the show but based on the screenshots this seems like the spot.
I keep taking breaks when reading because it's too much sometimes. The stakes are really high and I care enough about each of the characters for their troubles to affect me. However, I need to hurry and catch up because people keep posting spoilers. Spoilers don't ~really~ bother me, but I'd also like to experience things on my own, so I'm going to try to blast through and just suffer a lot I guess. We'll see.
Side note: The art is so nice. It's got a sort of sketchy style that I really enjoy. I also like a lot of the character designs and the uniforms for Valhalla are reallyyy nice. Like hate them, but those uniforms...
Pre-reiview: Gangster-themed and teenage biker gang manga really isn't my cup of tea but after I read a few yaoi fanfics from this fandom even before I watched the anime adaptation. I was kinda smitten with the story and its characters!
Plus, after I watched the anime adaptation and saw how a certain character interacted with another certain character (I'm sure you know who I'm talking about), my reaction was: "Holy shit! You're telling me this is not a Boy's Love series!????"
Holy smokes! For the thing with Mikey's older brother and for the twist with Valhalla's leader - which I did not expect at all - I just have to give it 5 stars. When it was revealed who the leader was, I was honestly left gaping. Wow.
